Yes that's the whole point .. but it's just that when the villagers mention that he's thrice her age, it has a strange effect because he clearly looks he's NOT~!

RR has worked on keeping himself fit and I guess he is keeping off daru and smoking to ward off those wrinkles too....

RR looks fabulously fit for 40+ and its not just his physique, even his face doesn't show...so from no angle whatsoever does the man look 54 years old as those stupid villagers are suggesting!😕 I am so hoping Ekta has cancelled out the idea of DM having kids...and just show him to be a single widower living all alone in the Haveli (Obviously he has his beloved Kohinoor for company...)

Exaclty, when I think of 'thrice' her age, I fear of nausea. I mean, my father and I share a thirty year age difference, my twenty to his fifty. Its just.......ugh.

And, I know you guys have heard of playboy, it makes me think of Hugh and his bunnies, but as you said Soapie. RR is CLEARLY NOT that old.
Sigh, I mean, could he not have just been like 35, that makes him a man much older then Santu, if she is supposed to be 18 or 20, and Ekta still could have kept her track of having him be a widower, and if she wanted, she can still throw in a kid. But you guys must admit, can your minds honestly digest a 45+ man married to a girl no older than twenty. I mean, the thing is, I know that the appeal in this show is RR, and RR does not look the age he is suposed to portray, that is why we are all glued to the show, if it was an actual man who truely reflected the age, we all would be crying about Santo's marrige, not waiting in anticipation.


Overall, I am intrigued with this show, and their pair does seem unique, it makes me want to see what will happen next. If DM does have children, I just hope they are not older then her, I can tolerate it if they are her age.

I hope Ekta doesn't pull something stupid like have DM's son 'liking' Santo or something. Uhoh. Thats kind of nasty....

Oh, last but not least, RR is on scary DM, but it makes him oh so sexy.

Oh god if there is a son out there, he so would like Santo. That is an ekta formula more like Bold and the beautiful. I am sorry I sound negative but it is just we got burnt so many times by her stupid ideas it just seems silly to think she can really change.
Anyways I dont think she would make DM son like Santo, because that is completely against Indian Sentiments, people would throw up and revolt, a son cannot love his mother and that is what by marriage she would be to his kids. I hope they show a beautiful relationship between choti ma and her step kids that brings the whole family together in a happy bunch. I think the children are away in foreign or boarding school studying. They are in for a surprise. Lol

See, I am willing to give the lady a benefit of a doubt, just because so far this show has no sign of it being an Ekta production, except for the Balaji Telefilms sign that pops up at the end. No crazy overdressed bhabi's, no crazy saas....I mean, I think she has figured out that we all have tired of her Ekta ways.
I agree, if they do pull an American Soap Opera theme, and god forbid a son does fall for his step mother, gawd, I would really vomit then. Unless, the son be an evil son who tries to bring his mother down, I think that is more of an Ekta angle, not so bad if we bring in DM and imagine him saving his wife. Aw.
Then Santu can pull a typical nari thing and forgive her son, and DM will realize what a sweetheart she is, and we will all love DM more...

I am getting a little ahead of myself...LoL

RR is physically very fit; he has worked very hard to create a lean and sculpted body. As far as his face goes, (without the mooches and constant serious expressions needed for DM), its very young looking. One just has to see him in some event to understand what I mean. He is in his early forties and I know people in my personal life who are in their forties and don't have any lines on their face yet. RR, I am sure, dedicated, sincere and hard working that he is towards his craft, will always take extra care of himself. I don't know about his drinking and smoking habits, but he is a vegetarian and I also know that he is not some lazy character who will let his body go for years before taking any step. He loves and respects his craft and fans, and as such has taken care of himself properly. Heck I have seen actors much younger then him looking like his father.

I rambled about this cause I feel that, making DM thrice the age of Santo is pure ridiculous. Double the age is pushing it, thrice is just a farce.

I think most of us over here have a problem with his age being said as 3 times hers, and not with the age difference.. As soapie said, couple with age differences between them have sometimes the sweetest love stories,Mr.Knightley and Emma for eg...

Everything's going to turn out all right ... because EK is well known to adjust ages according to her story so that is no real shock .. I am sure she will not show something which the audience will have a tough time getting down their throats!

Because in no way does RR look anywhere remotely near 50 as suggested by the bhola bhala villagers.. there HAS to be some mistake.. waise I have no problem with the age difference .. age difference has given me one of the most memorable love stories - Rishabh and Prerna Bajaj .. so no qualms there at all ..
