12th March- Holi khele Raghubeera...erm.. Dharamraj Mahiyavanshi...
Well, it was an interesting episode to say the least.. Starts off with everyone enjoying playing holi... Santu is very happy to be with her kith and kin.. Nanaji does pooja for mowri and manjari... When Mongi asks Santu to tell her how holi is played at her place? Santu, tells her that there is no difference between their celebration and malik's celebration as once rand is applied, everyone is the same, there is no unch neech or gora saawla.. Mongi is not satisfied with this and asks her why she doesn't take her inside, Santu tries to stop her.. But Mongi the curious runs off in.. Santu runs behind her and mongi bumps into Taru ben... Taruben asks santu if she hasn't told her sister about the reeti rivaz of their house, and how unche people dont play with them... Mongi totally ignores her, she spots DM and yells banevilaal.. and the power goes off in my house.. So missed this scene.. grrrr, of all the times... Power thankfully comes back soon, and by the time i get the tv on DM is applying gulaal to Mongi and Taru looks stumped,.. Santu looks sooo happy.. The fact that he dint turn his face or do something else more stupid makes me supremely happy.. DM with these tiny acts of his is cementing his place in Santu's heart and mind... I'm sure i'd have loved the scene had i seen it... but, I have something to say about mongi though.. I know i'm being a little concieted here, but wasn't Mongi behaving way too out of her place.. I'm not talking about the caste equation at all here, she knows how her sister was treated for the earring, how they were humiliated in the middle of the night, she's too young to understand all of that I agree, but shouldn't she be a tiny bit perceptive of what she is what she's supposed to do and what she's not supposed to do.. She's innocent I agree, but such acts of hers can get Santu into more severe trouble with Moti than she already is in...
BAck to the episode, DM and the banker are talking and the banker mentions the 25 laks guarantee that DM undertook for Hiten.. Which ofcourse, wierdo Maulik overhears... He's seething silently drinking bhang when his taru fui(mother if we're lucky) comes and asks whats wrong.. And MAulik starts lamblasting DM and Hiten.. Saying how DM's favourite is and always will be Hiten.. Though he(maulik) does what DM asks him to do, wears the same type of clothes DM does(creepy!!!)..His entire life is under DM's control, yet without Hiten asking, he gives him 25 lak, and when he gives me money, he asks for reciept.. Maybe he should also start behaving like hiten, start back answering, fight, standing in front of portraits and giving lengthy dialogues.. Moti asks him why he's talking like that.. Maulik says, no, he's being treated like he's sautela..(How I wish Maulik.. Maybe its my overactive imagination, but i think i saw Taru cringe when Maulik says this..).. Maulik even more upset now, throws his glass away and walks out.. Hiten, poor guy has overheard everything... Ok, i'll say it again Maulik is just plain creepy... If he knew his father at all, he should realised that if he's jus asked money for the party directly, he'd have given him how much ever he wanted.. Wearing the same clothes and doing the same things that your father does, doesn't help in any which way.. As he rightly said, if he wants his pappa to start noticing him, he needs to perfect the art of talking to portraits.. That sure is a winner where DM is concerned...
Holi is being celebrated in full swing by the Mahiyavanshi's..Everyone is dancing, Baa bapuji included... Moti tries to get DM, DM says no.. Shabhu gives a plate of dhokla to DM.. Santu is watching as some rang falls into the plate...Santu goes to DM and takes the plate from him, telling him that colour has fallen on it.. As hiten watches, Santu takes her Pallu and wipes the excess of colour on DM's cheeks... And the best part, DM actually leans toward her and lets her for a fraction of a second, before he remembers himself and stops her, wipes it off with his sleeve.. Ok, definitely scene of the day.. It certainly cements the theory that DM does have some sort of feeling toward her.. But is in denial.. And too in 'love' with the portrait to let anyone else try and take that place...
Night time, Hiten is driving back.. Is getting angrier by the second remembering Mauliks words as to how DM financed Hiten.. To avoid an oncoming car, he drives into a ditch and his car is stuck... He tries to push it out himself, but no avail... Now our dear troublemaker, Mongi is walking down the road with her beloved Mowri... Hiten sees mowri and realises that he can use her to pull the car out.. ties the car to the cow and is pulling on the cow's leash(is it called a leash, if its a cow??)... Mongi gets scared and asks him to leave Mowri alone as he's hurting her neck..(In the entire scene the cow is not even show, just hiten pulling on the rope.. Plus there's a disclaimer at the bottom saying no animal was hurt in the filming.. So all the activists needn't bother),..Now Mongi goes running to the village and tells nanaji that some man is hurting mowri.. the villagers set out on a search party for mowri.. Nanaji finds the cow, but she's dead.. He is shocked.. Episode ends...
Ok, i have a lot of questions about the last part... First of all, Why was mongi walking down the road, alone and in the middle of the night??? Second, why doesn't mongi know who hiten is?? He's the malik's son, her santu behna's step son..Ok, maybe she hasn't seen him till date.. But why dint hiten tell her that he wants to use the cow to pull the car outta the ditch.. Could've explained it to her and the used his brute force... Third, which cow was it.. Mongi says mowri, but when the villagers are searching, they call out manjari manjari.... The last part dint sit well with me, not coz of the cow killing, more coz of mongi.. I might be the only one, but i find her extremely annoying.. Birwa might not know how to act, but atleast she's soft and pleasant on screen.. Maybe its how the character should be, but Mongi really needs to tone down a little bit...
Second, I doubt hiten was so harsh that the cow was killed.. I dont think Hiten was the reason why mowri was killed.. I get the feeling that Maulik is involved in this somewhere.. He must have accidentaly run the cow over, or deliberately to get Hiten into trouble... He seems to be capable of that..
All in all a watchable episode just for the two scenes with DM...and two awesome scenes they were...
