Mrunal Jain rescues Chhavi from a mob

Actor Mrunal Jain, who is paired opposite Chhavi Pandey in Siddharth Kumar Tewary's Bandhan, turned her real-life hero as well.

He rescued his female lead from a crowd that had gathered during the shoot of their telly show. The incident took place at a photo studio in Umargaon. The situation, however, went out of hand when the mob began closing in on the heroine while taking pictures.

Recalling the incident with a shudder, Chhavi says, "There were people jostling for space to get clicked with me.I was so scared that I couldn't even cry .It was Mrunal and my director who saved me."

Mrunal adds, "I had no problem reaching my car, but saw that the crowd had gathered around Chhavi. She was literally stuck. I had to push a few people away to drag her to safety. But having said that, I only did what anyone would have done in my situation."
