Hei Buddies ...!! Thanks to Mr.Gurubaran, i manage to get a kutty interview from our Devi Priya (Neelambari). I spoke to her last week during her lunch break. Thanks to her for sparing some time for this interview. Another suprise that i got was being able to talk to our Bandham Villy Adhi. She sounded just the same and very friendly. Adhi said hi to all bandham members.
N : Hy Devi. Thanks for sparing some time with us.
D : No problem netra. With pleasure. How are you?
N : Im doin good. Am sure you are too. Your real name?
D : Devi Priya
N : What was your first serial?
D : Sakthi, with banupriya madam.
N : You are doing a good job in bharathiraja serial, as a cop. Do you enjoy doing cop roles? I know its not easy.
D : Netra, let me tell you something. My ambition was to be a police. Never got a chance to be. So this role gives me a pleasure in wearing that uniform 😉
N : What are your current projects?
D : Quite a number like bandham, manikondu, alaipayuthey and few more. Do watch alaipayuthey as im doing villy role there.
N : Yup, im watching. Right now in Malaysia, Alaipayuthey is quite famous. And i do enjoy your villy character there. So, any chances of me knowing if you are Adhi's daughter in Bandham?😛
D : (Laughs) Netra, we actually don't know about the story. Okay don't be suprise. We are only given our script upon arrival at the set. We read,practise and act out on the same day. Though we know what the story is all about, we don't know what is going to happen in each episodes. Im sorry netra to dissappoint you in this.
N : No worries. Just trying my luck 😆😆. What makes you accept roles?
D : Urmm its always the story and the impact my character will give to audience and if im capable of carrying out my role well.
N : You have done few movies too right?
D : Yes, recent ones are Vallumai Tharaiyo and Nayagan
N : I have watched vallumai tharaiyo, you did good there, but yet to watch Nayagan. What is the difference for you action in chinna thirai and movie?
D : Lots of difference, netra. You see, in movies, we go to the set, act out our scenes and then leave. Its not the same for chinna thirai. her we meet up daily. We are close to each other more like a family. We joke, we argues and we have lots of fun.
N : That's sweet. Hows your working hours like?
D : On netra .. 9am to 9pm (sighs)
N : Gosh, such long hours. But you do have fun doing the right? I mean as a family?
D : Thats true. And Netra, few of us from Bandham team will be in Malaysia on Jan for a show. We would be there for about 10 days. Netra, i would love you to come for the show, not only show, but to be with us for a few days too for fun.
N : Thats a great news. A pleasure for me too. I'm sure lots of fans out there would love to meet each of you. I'm not sure if Mr.Gurubaran has told you about the comments in Bandham forum at IF.
D : He does it netra, almost everyday. In fact, he told us you were suppose to join us for the function but you can't make it.
N : oh, his such a nice guy. With lots of sence of humour.
D : (laughs) I agree to that.
N : Okay, i don't want to take up you lunch time. Go and grab something. Thank you so uch for the time and this interview.
D : With pleasure. I'm happy to see that our serials are not watched only in india but other countries too. Netra, i will keep in touch with you.
