WHYs of her leaving a meaty role like Anandi would have been a hot topic of discussion on this forum among her and show's fans,isn't it ? If an important character quits the show , it's debated and speculated a lot on the forums, that's why I asked.

Don't know the exact reasons. But one thing is certain. Anandi's character was great only till Pratyusha phase. It lost a good story and charm after the actress was changed. The role eventually became boring from interesting , and then annoying and then settled to be a good for nothing mom who is only good at wallowing in self pity, blaming the Destiny for her own faults. And moreover Pratyusha was too young to play a 40 year old. She wouldn't look like 40 even with all that make up. She probably had an idea how this role was going to turn out...?

Whether leaving bv was a wise decision or not,I wish she had waited for the right opportunities and picked up good roles. She did play her role well in bv and people could connect to her pain. . With such talent, she deserved a good life.

Based on the news those days, few reasons were highlighted as follows:

- Pratyusha was feeling the stress and fatigue, from non-stop shooting / work,. She had also been hospitalised and she needed a proper break. But because she was playing a lead character, it was difficult for production house to give her a long break, hence it was a mutual decision.

- Her mother's health was not well and she needed time off to attend her

- There were disputes between her and PH, and so PH decided to replace her

Which of the above is true, is debatable till date. Some say it was mutual, some say she quit, and others say she was sacked.

However, Pratyusha played the most meaty and empowering phase of adult Anandi's life, which is why she gained so much of popularity both as an actor and as a character. Anandi's character post AnSh marriage (same the time around which Prats quit), had started to drop, and the epic saga of BV / Anandi had come to an end.

Not sure, if she had stayed longer, whether it would have been any wiser for her career or not, as BV was only her first show.

But now she is no more, which is indeed very sad.

Pratyusha's reason of quitting Balika Vadhu was actually never clear Whether she quitted or the writers, PH fired her considering how much they slung mud on her and tried to remove her and paste the replacement You will notice how they have pasted Toral's name even on the episodes where Pratyusha is Anandi

Pratyusha said she wanted to try out different roles and explore herself as an actress She also said Balika 's hectic shoot schedules were difficult for her She was having health issues The PH , writers said she was tantrum queen and causing problems on sets so they fired her

God knows what is truth We common people never get to know the real truth behind Pratyusha's departure from show Many stories around her just like her now after death

What are you expecting from the court , police and media my dear friends ? 😭 Listen to her what she wanted to say ---

She is saying, -- just be there and watch me burn ,it's alright because I like the way it hurts , just be there and hear me cry , but that's alright because I love the way you all lie ,I can't say now what it really was, I can only tell you what it feels like , right now there's many lies dancing around , it's like cruelty preaching peace there ,I can't breathe but my spirit still fight as long as wrong feels right .

I still remember the sweet smile amidst a sad look on her face that day when she was present in the audience in PC finale . I was baffled to understand what had happened to her and kept asking where is my Angel's glowing smile , hearty laughs ? Unfortunately got the answer soon .😭😭
