Shashank Vyas was born on 30^thNovember, in a small town Ujjain in a middle class family. Shashank was always fond of acting and actively participated in school and college plays but he never thought of acting as a career then . It was only in 2009 when he decided of pursuing acting as a career on encouragement of a friend It was in 2009 when this youngster came in Mumbai with dreams of becoming an actor but this journey as an actor threw many challenges to him at its beginning He had to struggle a lot to make his place in the world of showbiz

His stay in Mumbai was full of struggles His friend left him in the lurch by not answering his calls and he had to stay in Gurudwaras and rickety buildings- He joined Anupum Kher's acting academy to get trained in acting A month later he shifted in Mumbai his dear mother passed away and he had to go back to his home town to attend her funeral He returned to Mumbai and started struggling again to make his place in showbiz world .His struggle boasts to 285 auditions in 18 months. He got some modelling assignments and some cameo roles a one-day cameo in Sony TV's Rishta.com, and a cameo in 2010 Bollywood film Tees Maar Khan . According to Shashank all these assignments are dear to him as they helped him earn his bread in Mumbai in his tough time

Finally in mid 2010 his hard work paid off when he was selected to play the role of male protagonist Jagdish Bhairon Singh /Jagya in Colors TV's most popular show Balika Vadhu - kachi umer k pake rishte when show took leap of 5 years Shashank was selected out of number of auditions for the role. Shashank entered in show on 26th July 2010 as teenage Jagdish/ Jagya, stepping in shoes of Avinash Mukherjee who played the role of child Jagdish /Jagya. On this unforgettable date of 26th July 2010 this tall, handsome and astonishingly charming, exceptionally talented young actor with a radiating smile on his face with an amazing screen presence, entered into this serial, Balika Vadhu, a story based on child marriage as teenage Jagdish and won millions of hearts He instantly clicked to viewers as Jagdish His flawless acting got him a lot praises from viewers and critics alike in all through out the character Jagdish's journey with him .Jagdish have been the most complex character in the serial and Shashank portrayed it perfectly Shashank very soon became a house hold name after portraying Jagdish character so well and getting a lot of appreciation from viewers Shashank delivered a powerful and impactful performance as Jagdish thus establishing himself as a leading actor in Indian television industry with only his debut work

Shashank played the role of Jagdish five years in Balika Vadhu from 26th July 2010 to 8th August 2015 In March 2015 when Balika Vadhu took an 11 year leap and with now Jagdish's children coming into serial Shashank decided to try out other genres of his age characters instead of playing a father on screen which is too early in his career to play .He stayed after 11 year leap for some time till a suitable replacement was found for his role and finally quit the serial on 30^th July 2015 leaving fond memories of him as Jagdish on viewers minds and hearts His final episode as Jagdish in Balika Vadhu was aired on 8th August 2015

According to Shashank Jagdish had become his comfort zone and he wanted to come out of his comfort zone and try other challenging roles thats why he quit Balika Vadhu after 5 years of unforgettable journey , He felt there is nothing more left to explore in his character for him now and he wants to explore other roles of his age instead of playing father on screen which is too early in his career He wants to play those roles which portray his real age on screen and he should be able to connect to his work "I don't want to play an on screen father for a while, and would want to play characters of my age. ... I will try to focus more on roles in which I know I will be comfortable," says Shashank.I am not that kind of actor who can play such a mature role at this age . I feel that so early on in my career, I should try other roles now and there was no challenge left. for me in this role now Five years on a single show is enough I feel ''

Shashank's joruney as Jagdish with viewers in these five years he played the role have been a great experience for viewers , long lasting as well captivating for its great tenure, and it will be remembered as one of the finest performances in Indian television till many more years to come

With playing Jagdish role so perfectly and earning so much viewers and critical acclaim for just his first performance , Shashank has started his career with a huge success He proved and achieved all that through one role which other actors take many roles to prove and this is only a beginning for him Future is surely with God's grace more bright for him.

Shashank is praised by media and people for being one among those rare gems who have fame but still no starry tantrums , a complete down to earth and humble person who is dedicated to his work and also a level headed person with no starry airs affecting his charming personality He is a down to earth , humble and modest person in real life.
