first reason frm my side is i couldn't ignore him even if he is good, bad or grey...
when he made those mistakes i was highly disappointed rather than hating him..
his imperfections made his ckt much interesting than anyother..
now he is much mature n selfless and the change in his ckt was well convincingly portrayed by shashank vyas..

Nice post👍🏼 for me i like jagya bcoz of ur three points first, fourth and fifth. From the day one of jagat and gauri relationship we all felt that he is doing wrong. jagya wakeup plz .. atleast i thought after the entry of shiv now anandhi's life is going to settle why jagya is in the wrong hands? afterall both are been brought up by the same parents moreover he is a son of bhairon. i never hated him but i felt sorry for him. may be that's bcoz of shashank's outstanding performance i cried a lot on his redemption time.

@TM...nice post
Yes Shanky from the very start reminded me of the chotu J...always found him cute😳
J's character has the spice and creates ripple effects and adds volatility to the show
Moreover, its his shaping up of character that caused the transition in DS from being a hardcore regressive woman to a progressive one
He is integral and essential character not only for the show but for the other characters too and for the social messages too
I like the impulsive and ziddi J a lot and Shanky is a powerhouse...he brought out the shades well
Its the writing that fails to impress me...and fails to do justice to J at times...neway hoping for better from here on

For me the character of Jagya is very much real world character unlike Aanandi ( as she never makes mistakes, sacrifcing or to be more precise full of virtues). I hated him for cheating his wife, once upon a time...but now not!

Jagia is a complex, sympathetic and believable character. Complex characters are an interesting study. He seems very human as he flounders about making mistakes and then taking help from those who care about him 😛
In today's distracting day & age very few can actually honor a serious commitment like marriage...so J cheating on his wife was considered no biggy😉. World is full men who cheat on their wife...This is the age of bad boys

Bad boys rock best ex Salman Khan ❤️ It is nice to be with nice guys, but it's fun to be with the bad boy😛 Who better than Gauri will know this 😉. While being with Gauri J was living being under the assumption that women can't deny him😳...be it Gauri Or Anandi. This assumption made him sure & confident of himself but in a twisted way😛. He could not keep his charm turned on for a long time and had to let go Aji his favorite toy . But what is meant to be will always be pleasing to the eye. 😳 JaAn are so rocking these days as Aji has realized that J changed for her care & friendship...Rocking friends forever.

Deeply flawed Jagia - AHHH it is his flaws that makes the character come alive. This is what has given us something to empathize cheer & bemoan. His introspective vulnerability
( young & restlessness😛) is endearing that is a key aspect of his character's personality. He certainly turned out disappointing for the Singhs but he is trying to redeem himself. To err is human. 😳 Makers are always in interested in the paradox of the scoundrel savior...the redeeming sinners.

If I may cite a example from real life... Oskar Schindler a gambler, alcoholic playboy, shameless womanizer of the worst sort of course unsatisfactory husband...he was certainly a highly imperfect MAN. Yet it was through him that a certain number of people, from the whole calamity of the Holocaust, were saved. He toiled through the rough waters of confusion and surfaced from chaos to save the Jews. Today we remember him for what he did not for what he was.
I have high hopes from Jagia ...he'll do wonders for Jaitser & Make not only Singhs & Aji but us also proud!!!👍🏼

And also Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Butler in Gone with the Wind.

Very good post. I like J for most of the reasons given. I lved the young sweet but imperfect
Jagia. I strongly feel he was equally if not more wronged in child marriage. One fine day a stranger
Who s designated as wife comes and shares your parents when you really did not know what
Wife meant. He was constantly compared with a better achiever. A person who is a husband is expected to be better achiever than his wife. Imagine a boy has to have this inferiority complex
Right from the time he is growing up. I could empathize with him on this point alone.
He as a boy was denied all the fantacising or thrills ( within reason) of young boys.
To some extent it is also true with girls. But boys have more aggressive hormons. Unfortunately
That is what nature intended. His blunders were all nothing but human. He suddenly had the exposure
To the real modern world at a delicate age. He was just acting like a regular teen or young college
Going adult. He was caught between cross cultures.
It is very easy to empathize with him. I hated him when he did all that drama to get Anandi back.
But today, he is a nice soft spoken , straight forward, compassionate person. He has grown up.

I like Jagya coz there is no perfection in him .

He is real . He is human . He is flawed .

He does , whether its right , whether its wrong , what his heart tells him .

He does wrong at times . But he has an undead conscience too . People like Ratan Singh have dead consciences . Jagya's conscience beats .

Whatever happened to Jagya happens the same way in real life too . Matriarch grandmothers of rich families spoil the grandson rotten . Sons change drastically after marraige . They fight with families , they demand share in ancestral property egged on by wives .

They come back to roots , sad and disillusioned . When the nasha wears off .

Jagya seperated from his family but just his wife and her family never made him completely happy . He always perked up when news of his old family reached him . His suppressed bond with them made Gauri insecure . She tried and tried to cut it totally but was never succesful . Thats the way it is in real life too . Wives feel they r succesful in cutting husbands totally from their roots with their influence [ naive ego of a woman] but they realise at some point that they have lost . Something in the husband still flickers , has not totally died .

It was exactly that way with Jagya .

He rebelled against his child marraige and asserted his choices when he grew up and had his own mind . While Anandi did not . She accepted her child marraige and accepted it was marraige for life . They r 2 different individuals ...one , rebellious and strong headed , questioning with a why , one placid and calm , not making an issue of personal grief but hastening to lessen the grief of others .

I would never describe him as a loser coz he did have potential to become a doctor .

Even in his redemption phase , Jagya never lost track of the truth . He described himself as a sophisticated version of Ratan Singh and told Ganga he was no god .

Without Jagya there is no BV . Remove Jagya and see how long BV runs . BV i s the story of Anandi AND Jagya .

I hope they never change the essence of his character . He is loved as he is strong headed and wilful . I hope they don't dull him in his improved phase as those traits can be used for good purposes too .😊

I cannot say that I love Jagya, but I have deep sympathy for him whenever he is wronged. Perhaps I like him because of his innocence face (both child Jagya and present Jagya), but I cannot ignore his wrongdoing just because I like him, so I end up critisizing him more often, though I do not hate him.
