I think Jagya said yes to Sanchi to teach her a lesson at the end he will marry Ganga.
That wil be even worse than Jagya Sanchi marriage. Why accept the proposal and eventually marry anyone else? It would have been better if Jagya said no - not because anyone telling him to do so, but becaue he is not ready for marriage at present. He should tell this directly to Shekhars. His family is not listening to him. He should marry only when he himself wants to marry and agree for marriage only with a girl he wants to marry.
