Interesting question TM

In context to the show I like Shiv and he is the best partner someone like Anandi could have. So I felt very happy when Anandi got him as her partner.

But in context with reality I would vote for none. Or Probably Bhairon. I find Bhairon more real. He is a sensible man with great values and has faced real problems. E.g. he failed to speak up for Sumitra to his mom, but that's a real problem men face and sometimes they cannot be termed as perfect husbands, but they are real husbands.

On the other hand, Shiv is like every woman's dream, but I find Shiv as 'larger than life' husband

Both Anandi and Shiv are larger than life characters.

Real people have real problems, and that's when husband and wife come together to solve 'real' problems, weave new dreams, plan for their future and live together. What I see in AnSh relationship is Shiv is the giver and Anandi is the taker, which looks one-sided. Shiv supports A to sort out her problems and A worries for the rest of the world's problems. In reality both partners play equal role in nurturing their relationship, but I don't see Anandi doing anything for their relationship.

Shiv's character started as a perfect man with right values, to be classified as the best husband material. But post marriage, Anandi's regressive nature makes me wonder, are husbands in real life this patient? Do husbands never object that their wives have to keep going to their Ex for some or other reason? Does a guy never push his wife to think about her growth, especially when he married her for her same quality of perseverance, depite having downfalls?

It feels as if Shiv does not have any other dream apart from seeing Anandi happy. Honestly that's very fictious. Real life husbands do have other dreams which they like to fulfil with their wives.

I would say Bhairon & Sumitra had more dreams together as couple despite living in an orthodox set up, as compared to AnSh, who are actually newly-wed and have more liberty in life.

Great post Esha you have put everything very nicely and aptly Agree with you completely

I'll opt for Bhairon any day.
He's not just a great husband but also a great human being in every way, be it duties as a son, brother, father or father-in-law.
Ofcourse its not easy to object to your mother when you've seen her struggle with all her might to bring you up. If he didn't stand up for Sumitra it was because he didn't want to disappoint his mother. He was unable to object to Gehna's marriage or Anandi's gauna (ceremony of bringing the bride home post-marriage) it was purely because of that reason. And he did make little efforts to do all the good he could.
Same goes with Sumitra's case and she completely understood the same.
Being the best husband should not be the sole motive and reason that you are alive on earth.
There are others as well who are affected by your decisions and actions and Bhairon is someone who has always taken care of that.
The level of understanding Bhairon-Sumi have an the balance he has maintained with the rest of the people linked to him, makes me opt for Bhairon as the best husband of the lot.

People who call shiv as henpecked husband like guys who have the qualities of selfish and MC persons. This post was who you like as a husband and not passing disgusting comments on the character. Don't know why jagya lovers poke their nose into every article related to shiv character. If they cannot praise the qualities of a character better stay away from the post.[/QUOTE

Sheetal dear Take a chill pill...becoz..

1. shiv is a fictional character...so do not overreact on him...
2.If any person do not like him that her/his personal liking...just like we are liking shiv.
3. that is not at all true that every body should have the similar choice.
4.this is an open forum so anybody can open up his/her thinking here.
5.if anybody is bashing some character and using some disgusting language only to bash a fictional character and all the fans of his...so you can imagine that how much they are jealous of our beloved character shiv.
6. we love shiv and we want that our husband should be like shiv...if some one do not want this offcourse we should wish them all the best for their choice...😉

ULTIMATELY WE ARE THE BLIND LOVER OF SHIV...WE ALWAYS WANT A HUSBAND LIKE HIM...NOT ONLY THAT WE ALWAYS WANT EVERYONE WHOM WE LOVE MOST SHOULD GET A HUSBAND LIKE SHIV,,,,,,,,,SHIV JAISA KOI HAMARE ZINDEGI ME AYE TOH BAAT BAN JAYE DEAR...SO ONLY FOCUS ON YOUR BENEFIT NOT ON OTHER'S BENEFIT.😉

NONE of the above.

I want a understanding husband who can stop me if i am testing his nerves not nod his head all the time with whatever i do. Though i like Shiv's character. I find him unreal. No husband in this world will be like that.

Marry me bcoz he loves me and think i will do my duties as wife when i tell him i marry u bcoz of moms death wish is really what pulled his garlic stink for me. I dont like that at all. That s not sacrifice thats stupidity plain and blunt stupidity.

watching his wife cry for ex who is in hospital is a no no. I dont want that type at all.
And jagat is the last on my list type.
Bharion is so much of speak and when it comes to action he is a puppet in DS hands.

So none of the above
