Part #2
You, me and Patang
Jagya was doing fine. He was able to get up, do his work wid out much pain. He was glad, throbbing pain in his head didn't trouble him anymore. He had slight fever, but that hardly counts. He would take permission from Dadi Saa and would start his work at hospital. Would be a great idea, he mused. It was a pleasant morning, he was looking out of his window when he heard someone screaming.
"Dr. Saa.. Dr. saa.. "
"What happened Ganga?" he asked as Ganga dashed into his room, panting hard.
"I passed! I cleared my boards! All because of you Dr.Saa.. Look, I made it! I scored 80% in all subjects!"
Jagya couldn't help but return the dazzling smile Ganga gave him.
"Wow Ganga! I'm so happy for you! I knew you would do well! did you inform others?"
"No Dr.Saa..As soon as I heard the news, I couldn't stop myself and rushed here. I thought, I should inform you first.. "
"I'm glad you thought so, Ganga. Lets inform Dadi saa and all... Owww!!" Jagya felt the throbbing sensation in his head came back.
Ganga's smile dropped as she saw her Dr.saa's pain again.
"You have not recovered completely. You should rest.. " she told him as she made him sit.
He looked up at her beautiful face, her eyes full of concern for him. Before he could reply someone replied for him.
"Yes chora, you should rest. "
JaGan's moment was broken when Dadi saa entered the room.
"But Dadi.. We're all going to mandir. Right? There's a huge pooja and that's the reason Shiv,Anandi and Saanchi are still here. So am I not allowed to participate..?" Jagya asked her like a kid.
"This pooja is meant for you chora. We're all gonna thank Maata Raani for saving you. Maata will understand you're sick and you can rest at home. Ganga, take care of Jagya. Nandu will be home to assist you. " Dadi saa smiled at the duo.
"Sure Dadi saa... "
Saanchi tried desperately to convince Dadi that she would stay back but when asked if she wouldn't pray for Jagya, she was dumbfounded and reluctantly left for mandir. And that left Jagya, Ganga, Nandu and Mannu alone in the haweli.

A while later, Nandu was bored. After breakfast, Ganga was bored and Jagya was longing to roam in the open.
An idea struck Nandu.
"Lets fly kites. You will enjoy a lot. Even Mannu will like it didi... "
"But who will fly kites now? In this time of the year?!"
"It will be fun Didi.. think once.. "
Ganga was thinking how much Jagya and Mannu could enjoy it when Jagya teased her.
"Ganga, do you even know how to fly a kite?" he asked.
Ganga glared at him, "No Dr.Saa. I'm scared of altitudes... "
Jagya laughed as Ganga sent him another mock glare.
"Of course I know how to fly a kite and I can teach you a few tricks... " Ganga smiled.

Jagya was impressed. And then the game began. All of them gathered on the terrace. The kites and Mannja were ready, thanks to Nandu who preserved them. They turned on the Radio, enjoying the music.
Mannu was sitting in Jagya's lap. Nandu was holding the kite.
"See Nandu, hold it as high as possible and on count of three leave it! Obeserve the wind.. release now!" Ganga was screaming in delight as Nandu released the kite.
The kite began flying, She turned around giving Dr.Saa, a look that said 'I did it' and began pulling the maanja. Nandu and Ganga were laughing, Mannu was giving his best smiles and life seemed perfect for Jagya. He was thankful to Ganga for staying back wid him and making his day beautiful. For once he felt staying back at home was a good decision.
He was admiring her smile from a distance when she screamed.
"Nahiii... No No.. Go up!"
Jagya looked up and smirked as the kite swirled in the wind, crashing to the floor.
" Wow Ganga.. that was impressive, really. you really know how to fly a kite and look at the altitude it.. " he teased her again as he walked to stand beside her.
"Oh please Dr.Saa.. " Ganga cut him off abruptly, "I agree I dunno how to fly a kite. I was only trying to make you smile.. I know you're still weak, you can't fly a kite. You will feel bad and I'd regret that.. But here you are pulling my leg! " she pouted like a kid.
"I'm kidding Ganga. I know you and Nandu are trying to make me smile. Trying to make me feel comfortable as I rest at home... But who said I cant fly kites? I'm perfectly fine. I've recovered soon thanks to you and my caring family. And I can teach you few tricks here. You're not bad. You just need to hold the maanja like this... " he caught her hand, his fingers entwined with hers, "Nandu.. hold the kite... and release when I ask you to."
He adjusted his position such that he was now behind her, his one hand holding hers and the other holding the wooden piece on which maanja was rolled.
"Now... "
Nandu released the kite. A beautiful song was being played on the radio.

Jagya began explaining how to hold the string(maanja), how to pull it and how to steadily increase the height at which the kite is flying. But Ganga wasn't listening. She was conscious of his presence, Dr.Saa was standing really close behind her, so close she could feel the warmth radiating from his body. She was never used to this closeness, nevertheless she was amused how she wasn't feeling awkward.

It felt so right and her heart was filled with joy. She recollected how she met him. How he stood up for her, how he said he could take any pain for her. She remembered all their sweet moments. The cold wind, the kite soaring high, doctor saa's soothing voice, distant sounds of birds chirping from the surrounding trees, the song on the radio.. tiny drops of rain water from heaven... It was pure bliss. Little did she know, internally her Doctor saa was feeling the same.

After lunch..
Ganga looked up and saw that he was as cheerful as ever. He was playing some game on his mobile while talking to Mannu and Nandu. And a little while ago he was teasing her. Wasn't he.. time for revenge. She moved aside, signalled Nandu. Jagya was too engrossed in his task that he failed to notice.
"Oh patang udaanewale Dr.saa.. Catch me if you can... " She snatched his mobile and the chase began.
"Oh look at this Mannu... You're mother is such a cheater! She's playing my own tricks on me... Wait up!"
Ganga ran and ran, laughing as Jagya ran behind her, hot on his heels.
"Ganga Wait... "
After a few minutes of chasing, Nandu was laughing while saying she couldn't defeat Dr.Saa. Ganga replied showing him her tongue, she was running fast and was shocked to see a smiling Jagya standing in her way. Before she could stop herself, she crashed into him. Jagya steadied her holding her by her shoulders as she panted.
"Are you Ok?"
"haan Dr.Saa.. I'm sorry."
Before Jagya could smile at her crazy antics, the door opened and there stood Saanchi who looked distraught seeing Jagya holding Ganga in his arms.

Next part : Jagrata @ home. Saanchi wears rajastani lehenga and flaunts it in front of Jagya.. but his eyes were admiring someone else. Who it could be?😉
