A JaGan OS
Jagya was sick. Sick of sleeping and resting at home. Dadi Sa wouldn't let him get up, let alone walk in the garden.He knew he was supposed to rest for another month. But he couldn't. Sure, he was comfortable in is bed, people come and visit him chat and have fun. But he wasn't satisfied For once he wanted to feel the fresh air. He wanted to go out.
He tried to get up. His head began spinning and he collapsed in his bed, clutching his sore forehead, writhing in pain. He was startled when he heard someone rushed to him, helping him to lie down.
"Thanks Ganga... "
So, he wasn't still lucky enough to go out, feel the fragrance of monsoon.
"Dr. saa.. You should rest. " Ganga said in a pleading tone when Mannu came running.
What would he do with out these two?! Since past one month, Ganga Mannuu were always next to him, narrating wild stories, cracking jokes, occasionally learning English. Oh it was so much fun! He was thankful to Ganga and little Mannuu as well.
"Thank you Ganga... thanks for everything! First you saved my life, then started taking care of me, sitting by my side lulling me to sleep, helping me cope up wid my stress... I wonder if I deserve so much care. I mean you care for me as much you do for Mannuu.. I dunno how to thank you enough.. "
"Naa Dr. Saa, I haven't done anything. You and your family gave me a new life, a reason to live. You treated me like a family member and I just did what a family member should do. .. " Images how Jagya was attacked flashed in her head and she couldn't help but feel guilty.
She shouldn't have agreed to go to mandir, let alone complain against Ratan Singh. What if he was behind attacks?!
She was the one to be blamed for Dr.saa's attack, "I'm the one responsible for the attack, if not directly then indirectly.. " Ganga's eyes were teary eyed almost.
Jagya sighed. He was tired of consoling her. Everyday, she would end up crying, blaming herself for the attack. He was running out of jokes to make her smile every time.
"Ganga please. I'm running out of jokes to make u smile. I repeat Ganga, you are not responsible for what happened. And its not because we went to mandir goons have attacked. It Could have happened anywhere... "
"But Dr. saa.. "
"Enough Ganga.. drop it!"
Jagya was angry now. He hated himself for bringing up the issue and making her cry again.

Meanwhile, Anandi, Shiv who reached the haweli with Saanchi greeted everyone and headed to visit Jagya.

"How can I drop it?! " more tears leaked from Ganga's eyes, "How can I forget what happened there? I can never forget it. And I know, who's the person behind the attack! My brain was messed up back then. But now I know its that monster again. Ratan singh... He ruined my life! And I wont let him ruin yours. You don't deserve all that thrashing and beating. You will never understand what I feel, how much I was scared for you... If something happened to you, I dunno if I can ever forgive myself... "
Anandi was about to rush inside when Shiv caught her hand, "not now Aanandi Ji, We shouldn't interfere..Saanchi stop!.. "
Saanchi stood seething in anger when Jagya reached up to wipe Ganga's tears.
"Please stop crying... " Jagya began in a soft tone, he wished he could do something to cheer her up.. "You know that I can't bear to see tears in your eyes. I want to see you smiling always and I would never forgive myself if I'm the one causing these tears. Do You know that?"
Ganga nodded.
Jagya went on, "then... jus stop crying ok..? Look Mannu is also upset! "
He wiped more tears, " OK, lets agree you're right! May be Ratan is the one who did it. He will be punished Ganga. There's no need for crying "
Ganga sniffed, "I know... But Ratan is evil! What if he attacked you again? He's trying to get you because you stood in my way, Dr.Saa. I think you should stop help..."
"Oh please Ganga! I should stop helping you?! Jus because some mean people attacked me I should accept my defeat and surrender you?! Just now you agreed u're a member of my family. So of course I will stand in Ratan's way. I will hold your hand and never let go no matter how many Ratan Singh's come you're way. You will never be alone in this fight Ganga. I have done so many mistakes in the past but now I know I'm doing the right thing. If you're worried about this.. . " Jagya pointed to his head.
"If your life will be filled with happiness at the cost of this... I promise, I can take thousand more blows. For your happiness, I can do anything... I'm strong enough to bear the pain "
Jagya was not sure how those words slipped out. He knew he was fond of her. He wanted to see her happy. And for month long, he was enjoying her company. He felt alive, like a kid. For once he didn't remember his bitter past in her presence. And well, he liked her. Just like you know. He liked her silly jokes, her broken English, her cute smile, the special one she had reserved just for him and Mannuu. And he liked how she was worried about him, how she was always there like a friend and lastly... He loved the tears that leaked from her eyes that showed how much she cares for him, although he wouldn't want her to cry.
He just liked her! He dint love.. Dr. Jagdish! Just patience! You're gonna scare her, warned his head. Wait... love ??! Where did that come from?!
Ganga's eyes widened when she comprehended what her Dr. Saa said.
Jagya was tensed. What if she took his words in a wrong way?!
To his relief, She smiled. Giving him one of her best smiles, she mumbled a thank you.
"I mean.. I can do anything for u and Mannuu specially. Put yourself in my shoes... what will you do? Surrender to the pain? "
She smiled widely, shaking her head. She was touched that Dr.Saa cared so much for her. He would be there for her, always.. forever!
" Good... Smile is beneficial to health. You should keep smiling. And dont worry, I can take care of myself and Well, I can even kick Ratan Singh into Jail. Are Mannuu.. be ready! We both will take revenge, beat Ratan Singh into pulp. "
"Oh realy? But you both will need energy to do that! Lemme get some juice... " Ganga stood up and smiled; turning around, she noticed Anandi, shiv and Saanchi who was fuming.

"What a surprise! Anandi ji... when did you all come? "
"Just now.. I was about to call your name when you turned around? " Shiv lied with a smile, "Right Anandi.. "
"jus now.. " replied Anandi wid a knowing smile. Now she knew why Shiv stopped her and why Ganga was grinning from ear to ear.
" I'll get some juice for u.." Ganga asked them cheerfully, "saanchi Ji.. "
"No thanks.. "
"Saanchi needs some glucose. She looks pale. Are you OK Saanchi?" Anandi asked playfully as Saanchi stormed off in anger.
