18thMay WU: Anandi reaches Badi Haveli with Sanchi

Balika Vadhu Written Update 18th May

PART 1
Shiv suggests that Anandi should go and live with her family at Jaitsar for a while. Shiv's mother is happy at this suggestion and she asks Anandi as to when she wants to go! Chhoti Maa asks Shiv to accompany Anandi. Shiv says he has too much work to do and he plans on completing them before hand. Daddu suggests to accompany Anandi on the pretext of giving her company and to meet Kalyani Ji. Saanchi offers to accompany her and all of them agree.

In Jaitsar, Dadisaa is making Makhan clean the house when Anandi and Sanchi enter. Dadisa is ENTHRALLED to see them. She tells Sanchi how Jagya told them about her helping him at Jaipur. Sanchi commends that even Jagya praised Dadisa's food alot in Jaipur. Anandi asks about the reason for so much preparations. Dadisa is about to say but Samchi interrupts asking where the people are and rushes to meet Jagdish. Dadisa tells Anandi that they've seen a new girl for Jagdish and she has come at a very good ocassion.

Sanchi surprises Jagya and asks if he's happy to meet her. She offers a perfume as a gift for him. She says she searched the entire mall for something divine and sensitive for him. Jagya tries to refuse but Sanchi makes him accept the gift. Sanchi starts reading a book on surgery. She sees his and Anandi's child marriage pic in his book and commends that he was handsome even then. Sanchi asks him to accompany him in showing him Jaitsar but Jagya says he can't due to some work. Ganga interrupts in between and asks to keep his clothes in his room. She offers to come later but Jagya insists on her coming in for keeping the clothes. Sanchi asks Ganga if she liked the gifts Jagya brought from Jaipur as all were chosen by her. Ganga says she loved them and especially the teddy bear she sent for Mannu. Sanchi thinks that she had purchased it for Jagdish. Ganga asks Jagya-Sanchi to go downstairs so she can change the bed cover.


PART 2
Anandi congratulates Gehna and commends saying she wanted to see the glow on her face which wasn't visible through the phone. Gehna says that this glow and everything is all because of Jagya. Sanchi is elated to hear his praises. Jagya is shocked to see Anandi and becomes uncomfortable. Anandi tells him that AnSh returned from Kashmir just yesterday. Dadisa calls Bhairon to ask him how much time he will take to come as the ladki waale can come any time. Bhairon calls Dadisa to the court for some work. Dadisa leaves. Preparations are taking place to welcome the family of the girl they chose for Jagya. Anandi is happy to see Ganga. Sanchi and Anandi leave. The ladki waale come and Nirmala introduces them to Dadisa's family. Jagya takes the blessings of the girl's mother. The girl's mother commends and praises the way Badi Haveli has been kept.


PART 3

Anandi and Sanchi are playing with Mannu. Sanchi is holding the teddy bear and lost in Jagya's thoughts. Ganga comes to call Anandi as the girl's mother has come to see Jagya. Anandi descends downstairs and the girl's mother recalls her first meeting with Anandi. Whole cycle of events rotate in her eyes. She is shocked to see Anandi. She asks if she is the same Anandi who is the wife of the apparently clever and shaatir collector!

Voiceover: Sometimes some shadows of the past crop up at the wrong moment and break the flow of life.

Precap: The girl's mother shouts at Dadisa for polluting her mind against Shivraj Shekhar.

Yipee!! They re shot the Anandi UD scene. Thank God they did not morph it. It would have been an insult to Prat, Toral and us if they morphed it. They should get photos clicked too instead of morphing them. Photo shoot cost less that scene shoots.

Now if they show that Anandi did not know about Dsa then A big fiasco. I think they will show that scene about Anandi firing Dsa and then thanking her which will have been re shot.

If so then they would have re shot Anandi and Shiv scene too. it was all in a cycle and so they have to re shoot it I HOPE THEY HAVE DONE IT..

They are improving in details as they used the same clothes Prat had worn warna pata nahi new clothes mein shoot kar dete.

I hope AnSh will handle this properly.

Pata nahi kyun I doubt Saachi feelings for Dr. Sweets will be revealed soon as Anandi and Ganga already doubt it.

Saachi OMG her family is blind or what? she is sooo rude and they just laugh it off.

How many of us speak like that with our elders and get away even with a tiny scolding? My brother is 5 years older than me and I have never spoken like this to him forget speaking to my parents ever like this

Saachi will be a psycho lover which Gauri wasn't. She has pulled out all stops. she is going for him so fast. God she is such a fevicol. her attraction is not cute or immature. they way she sprayed the perfume it was seductive. Roop is doing a tremendous job but I just feel yucky when i see Saachi drool all over her bhabhi's ex Can't even keep my eyes open.

Loved the interaction between Jagya and Ganga. it was a very general convo but showed their Benaam rishta.

She wants to become Mrs. Sweets. I think Ganga and Anandi should open a school for her to train her to be haveli ka beenddi and Jagya ki gharwaali.

Kapde,gehne,khana,seva, moonh band rakhna, Gauri ke probable re entry ke liye prepare rehna sab sikhaao tab jaake Dr. Sweets ka bhoot utrega.

I think todays entire episode was mostly Saachiii

UD was a little overboard with her admiration of the haveli and the Singhs.

Sachi zor ka Jhatka, much needed. I think A does see the change in Sachi.

A power packed episode on Monday though.

Yesterday there was a good discussion about the failure of J-A marriage. I could not comment since the thread closed before posting it. any way I am posting my view here. Sorry for being out of context.

In my opinion, it failed due to a long distance relationship, immaturity of J, him royally taking her for granted and blind faith that A had in him. I agree A always payed more attention to the family and their needs. That was how she was conditioned to grow up. That's how it is in any joint family system. One has to give equal attention to all sply the ones who are more demanding; in this case DS. A still helped J in his homework, cooked things he liked, saved him from many problems, which I consider as her paying attention to him and not ignoring him. With so many people around it is too much to expect the couple to always spend all their time together. Its just not practical.

Its not a hidden fact that A was a very bright student who was very interested in studying. But that right was taken away from her by DS who made her burn her books in front of her and taking a promise from her to never study again. This is when Bhairav or Sumitra should have stood up for her. A was a kid and hence I would put more of a blame on Bhairav and Sumitra. A might have given her emotional talk but parents need not listen to everything that a child says in spite of knowing what is right and wrong for the child's future. Such promises and swears being taken seriously only happens in fiction.

I don't blame J for having a wish to see his wife being 'modern'. Each person has thier own expectations. But he was immature even as an adult. His measurement of modernism was limited to clothes and outward appearance. But practically A has always lived in Jaitser a village where women sply married women don't dress in clothes other than the traditional one. A did oblige to J's wishes when they went to Mumbai for their honeymoon. So it was not like she totally turned a blind eye to his wishes and likes. If J wanted her to wear those kind of clothes in Jaitser he should have been forceful about it in front of Ds and not expected her to take the first step in that.

J had more of an exposure to the outside world than A through education as well as when he went to Mumbai. A's understanding of ways of life was always limited to Jaitser and its lifestyle. Hence expecting her to change drastically to meet a modern society that to at a fast pace is a little unreasonable in my opinion since she did not know better.

Now about her not wanting to go to Mumbai: A did see the changes in J during that time and he did not treat her well and snapped back at her many times. Its quite natural that she would be apprehensive about living alone with him there. I remember us having a discussion about this back then when that episode was aired. But she eventually agreed.

J as a person was easily swayed by the glitter and glamor of the so called modern society and he was ashamed to have a so called backward wife. A was not backward in her thinking. All that J did was give tall talks when he visited her in Jaitser but did he take any step towards educating her. She was tied to her promise to DS (which was nonsense), why did he not take that extra step to see that she was allowed to study? Infact when she topped the boards, he ordered her not to study further. Why, coz he found an easy ready made upgrade? Is that what a wife is? Is what what relationships are worth? Use and throw, if its not meeting standards, opt for an easy upgrade? This was the time J played with the lives of two women. One for his modern society and the other for taking care of his family back home. Its immaturity gone so wrong that it was taken a notch higher than just terming it as simple immaturity. J left no stone unturned to ridicule, show down and batter A's self esteem so that subconsciously he could feel that he was doing the right thing to be with Gauri. He let Gauri abuse his family and A, just because he did not have a backbone to handle the situation. Escape, escape and escape.

Now coming to A. The main problem that she has is she has blind faith in people. She turns a blind eye to all their faults. She keeps quite at a time when things can be handled before they go out of hands. Why does she not tackle the problem when its in its infancy rather than wait for it to soar? Why did she not open her mouth back then when J lied in front of his friends, introducing her as Nandini? Why did she not sternly question him? Why did she not inform the family about it? She somehow feels that she should solve the issue single handed when help and advice from elders can help wonders.

She had many opportunities to study. But she did not take it. Bhairav tired his best to support her when she was an adult, but she did not take advantage of it. She needed to study for her self, for her independence, for her self worth and not to prove to her relationships or to save her breaking marriage.

She should not have taken the abuse of J and G but should have drawn a line so that no one can easily use her as a punching bag or walk all over her. She somehow doesn't get her priorities right.

I agree with you guys that she has not learned from her past mistakes. She still is not using her potential. She is not taking advantage of her changed setup but still clinging onto her previous lifestyle. She needs to open her eyes and mind and explore new horizons. Put her education and experience to better use. Take up a profession rather than shuttle between Jaitser and Udaipur. Since she has just moved to Udiapur, I will give her some more time to settle but even after that if she doesn't do anything better, i would totally blame her for her stagnation coz life doesn't end after marriage. Its paves way for a new beginning.

It's a whole mess situation in BV now. Please show anandi progressing in her career rather than always thinking about haveli people. Her conversations with DS irritates now. Instead of she going to haveli it's better she accompany with shiv to the small village need undaiour which has problems. Anandi is not needed to find a bride for jagya. It's better shiv tell anandi to think about her career. The whole anandi shiv relationship is becoming a typical indian saas bahu husband wife show. Why cannot anandi and jagya have separate lives to be shown in the serial like how it was shown when gauri was present.
