That was the funniest statement i ever read. Pratyusha personifying Indian women?It was Anandi maybe but NEVER the actress.

If there was a book called Balika Vadhu, Anandi could be an individual person whose character you created in your head. When you make a movie, or series that actor revived the character by his appearance and manner of interpretation. That we like or not. That's why some actors are remembered and indispensable in certain roles.

@TM - I think Anandi is a very strong,unique and an out of the box character.She is different from the rest of the female characters on tv.While the life of other female characters and their issues revolve only around their extended families/husbands/kids, the life of Anandi revolves around her zeal to bring a social revolution.It revolves around the fact that how a girl who in flesh and blood is a reformer from birth, but herself is butchered by the evils of the society.So naturally the character itself comes with a lot of aura and thus its strength hides the flaws of the actor playing it quite easily.

I dont know how Pratyusha did in initial days but for sure,she made Anandi her own with the Jagiya's two-timing track.With the potrayal of a heart broken anandi and then a a strong anandi who overcomes her heartbreak and makes a life for herself, Pratyusha did pump life into anandi.And then with her convincing portrayal of the soft romantic side of anandi, P once again proved she is an able actor and hence she sprinkled her essence in another facet of Anandi.

As for toral,I had watched her in DMD and she was good there.But unfortunately I have not been able to see the same magic repeated as anandi.She tries but doesn't get there. As of now the state of affairs is that it might take a very strong track and some back to back power-packed performances from Toral if she really wants to make anandi her own, just the way Avika and Pratyusha did.

@TM I don't count myself as a Toral fan but then I'm not really a 'fan' of any of the actors involved in BV either. I admire them for their performances in the roles they play on BV but that is the extent of my appreciation. But since you asked about acting skills and talent then I will share my views with you.

i think i may have to wait for one more year.. will that be enough i don know.. from day 1 it has been told she is improving which i dont think is happening...

I don't see any purpose that any series lasts this long. For me, Pratyusha was excellent in any regard for the role of Anandi. And in private, she looks good. Tastes are different. If someone gain international populaity by playing certain role, isn't it something that should be valued? As for Pratyusha's acting skills they are pretty average there are better actors than her in the show itself Like Surekhaji.And of course the prodigy Avika who is actually growing up to be a stunningly good looking young woman.I would wait and see how she performs in her new show to decide whether she is a good actress or not.

We as Indians respect your opinion.But your opinion is not the one that guides our interests and opinions.Just because you people think that Pratyusha is the greatest thing in Balika Vadhu we do not have to agree to it if we do not think that way.

This show has been made for Indian Audiences and because of it's popularity it was bought by a few countries including yours.

Just because you think Pratyusha is great we don't have to agree to it.

The people who still watch the show in India watch it not because they are fans of Toral but they are fans of ANANDI and Balikavadhu.

Toral is talented n doing well as Anandi 😊

I voted for 3rd option. I have not seen any of her earlier shows so cant say she is talented or not. But not doing well as anandi, her monotonous
dialogues are really disappointing and it seems some how she wants to finish them as early as possible.
