DS was liked for her commanding, hard stance. But she softened and now is more open-minded. People accepted that, no? Even when Surekha Sikri took a break for some months, BV still held fort. Actors playing Bhairon and Sumitra have also taken breaks from the show time to time, still it is running.

Even if TRPs fall, BV has nothing to lose. Every show has phases of high and low TRPs. As long as BV handles its story well, the show isn't going anywhere.

Last word and fact - BV is not about JaAn, Ansh, Gaga alone. It's about journey of a character in a certain milieu and tackling of issue through her eyes. That's all.

It's an iconic and long-running show and if handled well, there is no doubt Toral would grow on everyone as Anandi.

Jo hua so hua, why cry over spilt milk?

A great post, I compliment you. In terms of economics, BV had a TRP of 4.7 or close to 5. Even assuming it were to get affected by all the curses hurled by our friends and they were to fall to 3.0 for example, they will still get full advertising support from all the ones who advertise and sponsor. The channel has nothing to lose. So my friends who have chosen to go to war with a channel are doing so in futility as the channel's income will not get hurt one bit. The show will go on. Those who say they are not watching will keep watching because the next morning or the same night they need to come out of the closet to curse. So watch they will. COLORS is a major channel, they know what they are doing, Raj who heads it used to be with NDTV and now in COLORS. They understand economics.

BV is not about JAAN, or Gaga1 or 2, you are right it is a journey. The examples you gave are so spot on. We need to get over this gripe that has possessed IF. There used to be such excellently thought out posts, all that has gone now, now it is you support Toral I support Pratz.

I agree with you fully, and hope better sense will prevail.

I just managed to see yesterday's episode on Desi Tashan. I have to say whether you like Toral or hate her, as a woman she has the most beautiful smile. When she smiles, the world looks beautiful.

Who said she should tone down her smile, I will have to report you. 😆

don't mind guys but shows keeps moving even when TRP is less than 0.5 like KTLKG and many other shows...anyone hardly watched Anamika and even Uttran but yet the show moves on...yes BV must have fallen down due to replacement but it still has the power to return back to its position and keep moving...its still watchable and better than many other shows...its story line has not lost its focus and it is still strong enough to stay on t.v for at least 1 year. so cheers to BV !!!
looking at the standards of Indian Tele Industry BV is still one of the best serial...its going to take more than a replacement of the main lead to shut down this show ! no offence to anyone

I agree fully. If Uttaran can be 2.6, then BV. . . . . , let it remain unsaid.

Dont you guys get it, that it is not the actors who decide when they have to look happy and when sad, it is the director, Prats had to do all the rona dhona because the story asked her to do it, just when she was getting all chirpy and romantic they brought in Toral who never got to do any crying...so you wise people decide that Prats is a cry baby and Toral the confident and happy Anandi...grow up guys it is a serial and the director calls the shots not the actors, they are mere puppets in the hands of the director...so much so that they cant even blink their eyes of their own will if the director does not OK the shot or the scene does not demand it...so what it boils down to, is who portrays the directors point of view the best and who connects with the audience...so far Prats did a great job portraying the directors Anandi, remains to be seen if Toral continues the legacy...but the image of Anandi created in the minds of the viewers by the director of being soft yet determined in her various missions seems to be wavering a little bit, yesterdays portrayal of A seemed self indulgent in her achievements rather than humble...
