imitating?

guys i always feel Toral is tryin to imitate pratyusha as anandi!!! mainly liftin up eyebrows...her slow dialogue delivery...may b CV's wanted her to do dat way...do u feel da same??

I don't think she speaks slowly. And I didn't think she was imitating anybody in yesterday's episode. But in today's episode I did feel she was trying hard to fit in.

IMO she shouldn't imitate Prats. They better make her watch old episodes featuring Avika and try to make her understand every aspect of Anandi, and then play it accordingly, doing justice to Anandi's character but her way, and not merely imitating either Prats or Avika.

The makers of the show need to work on her. And even she needs to stop being either excited or nervous about playing Anandi. Be normal. Frankly, content being essence of BV, the onus is on CVs to flesh out story well and make Anandi fit in, plus make viewers comfortable with the changes.

Yes, the pressure on her must be tremendous with our own members calling her fat, ugly, vamp, Gehna's equivalent, old enough to be Shiv's mother, which young lady will not be tense and want desperately to fit in? Interesting was that on Monday after the first episode with Toral was shown, members started abusing her from 8.32 pm, they were ready. Very cruel. I have protested not because of any love for Toral, (I don't know her, had never heard of her) but because these Pratz fanatics (mob in my opinion) were being gross and unfair.

i doesnt mean shez bad...indeed shez gud...m jus sayin shez immitatin some gestures of prats to fit in her role...😊

I agree with every word! Prats was bashed so badly and BV's TRPs had fallen drastically post the first leap. Viewers didn't take to new Anandi easily and CVs had to shift focus to Shyam and Sugna, Gehna-Basant and put Anandi on sidelines (maybe they were training Prats side by side and also giving viewers time to cool off from the departure of original iconic Avika-Avinash pair). And BV picked up only when Anandi-Jagya-Gauri love triangle possibilities arose.

These things keep happening. I agree Toral should connect more to original Anandi and CVs should bring shades of original Anandi back, the one who was nice, had a little bit of spice (with her strong, inquisitive nature, rebel streak) and yet was all heart, all attached to those around her.

On a different note, it's kind of refreshing to see so much support for Prats! All along I've mainly seen her being bashed, in comparison to old Anandi, leads of other shows, Gauri, Jagya, Shiv etc.! Haha! Jaane ke baad qadar ban jaati hai...the adage isn't wrong!

It's not easy to step into someone else's shoes, and it is especially difficult to keep a job that someone brought it to perfection. I'm not saying that Toral is a bad actress, but she need to know to engage on an impossible mission. Prats is an exceptional actress and her Anandi is perfect. Everything else is a poor imitation

I don't think Toral as Anandi is imitating, but she needs to pick up some mannerisms form the previous Anandi (played by Pratyusha) that gave a varied dimension to Anandi-the character. This will help connect with that part of herself who had gone through the turbulent times in her life and will maintain consistency in the character. Today whatever and whoever she is, it's because of the hard times she faced and how she coped with it and came out as a winner.

Though after marrying Shiv and realizing her love for him the bubbly and cheerful nature of hers has become more evident, but it should not be so sudden that it all looks so fake. And I feel just connecting with the child Anandi (played by Avika) won't be enough it will still create a hollowness in the character.

Good actors never take the time to enter into the character to play. He must be ready to jump in there where someone else left off. He just needs to continue. Especially if he wanted this role a long time, as Toral said in an interview. But wishes are one, and preferably something else entirely.
