Interesting was that on Monday after the first episode with Toral was shown, members started abusing her from 8.32 pm, they were ready. Very cruel. I have protested not because of any love for Toral, (I don't know her, had never heard of her) but because these Pratz fanatics (mob in my opinion) were being gross and unfair.

DITTO! I'm not a fan of Toral..not yet at least..but I'm still willing to give her a chance...and no, I'm not asking for a pat on my back for being oh so kind-hearted...cuz initially, I was not too happy with Toral being chosen to play Anandi..I felt that there were lots of other actresses who could've fit the bill much better! But after seeing the numerous discussions on the forum and getting a deeper insight on Avika's performance as the child-Anandi (I never watched BV until a month ago..and I caught up with all the epis post Shiv's entry..so while I'm aware of the general storyline of the show, I'm awfully unaware of how much the child actors were liked and how much the viewers were attached to that phase of the show 😕), I'm starting to see Toral in a different light...I'm starting to see why the PH might've settled on her and I must admit that she has literally improved over the course of her first 6 episodes! 👏
I saw today's episode, Toral looked really beautiful, very confident in her skin, lovely eyes, her eyes dance when she speaks - it is so nice. Pratz was good, but of late there was fatigue showing in her performances. This Anandi is fresh and has brightened the place.
OH MY!!! I mentioned this in another thread and I can't remember whether people agreed with me or not...but I also felt that of late, Prats seemed really fatigued...while her expressions were great, her eyes weren't sparkling as they otherwise did. During all the episodes that I've seen..Prats has expressed Anandi's happiness and sorrow extremely well on her face...but lately, even when Anandi was shown to be happy...Prats wasn't living up to her mark in my opinion...so yes, I also find that Toral has definitely rejuvinated Anandi!

Toral should connect more to the Avika Anandi and bring that model back to life, rather than the fatigued version. Is she trying hard, may be she is. But remember when Pratz came to BV, the first 3 months our viewers (who now are bleeding for her) had abused her and abused COLORS. Pratyusha took a good 3-4 months to warm up, and warm up she did, but here we have given Toral exactly 6 days and some of us are pronouncing judgments on her performance.
Yeah I've always wondered how fans accepted Shashank and Prats after Avinash and Avika...in my mind it shouldn't have been difficult because the characters had aged and Avinash and Avika could not pull off the image of 18 year olds regardless of their costumes and make-up! But like I said, seeing the recent discussions on the forum...I'm guessing that change wasn't taken to well initially either..fair enough...accepting and adapting to change isn't everyone's cup of tea...not mine either for that matter...but yes, even if Toral is trying too hard and is seeming off key, it's okay..she's going to learn...she can't absorb 4 years of Anandi and present it in 6 days!
Let's give time and it will all fit in. I am a believer in being calm and steady and not to make hysterical noises, that achieves nothing. Just makes noise.
Well I try to stay calm and steady...doesn't always work for me...but yes, I'm also learning to maintain my cool and not yell at everyone who disagrees with me 😳 😆

Toral is doing perfectly fine as the new Anandi...she is a good actor. BV CVs have more experience than us and they would not have chosen her for nothing...it is just that some viewers cannot accept the change with an open mind.

I love her spontaneity and spirited dialogue delivery.

I get what you're saying...but regardless of how good an actor is..they can't just jump the bandwagon without any preparation. SRK (a brilliant actor in my opinion) didn't play Rizwan Khan in My Name Is Khan without learning about the complexities of his character and rehearsing with his co-actors for days...similarly, though I haven't seen Barfi..I've seen trailers and I'm sure Priyanka and Ranbir (also some great actors) didn't play their roles without participating in lots of workshops beforehand. And I'm sure these three actors always wanted the roles that I've made a reference of...they were challenging roles, any actor (good or bad) would want those in their kitty.
And I agree, Toral did mention that she wanted this role for a long time...but Prats also said that when she came to Mumbai and was auditioning for various roles, she also felt that it would be great if she got to play Anandi...with that being said, it doesn't mean that both Prats and Toral would practice playing Anandi in front of the mirror on a daily basis...Anandi is an iconic character...she's like the new-age Tulsi and Parvati from Ekta's serials...anybody would want to play her role! 😊

@masin

Agree with you. Shah Rukh of Baazigar has today evolved into the Shah Rukh of My Name is Khan. Similarly, Aamir of Andaaz Apna Apna has evolved into Aamir of 3 Idiots and Taare Zameen Par. They were not great actors from Day 1.

As a newcomer in BV, trying to fit into an iconic role, and with a tremendous pressure to deliver, Toral has done quite well. With support and encouragement from her co-actors, CVs, and viewers, she has the poetntial to evolve into the Anandi that everyone will love.

Everyone has their own view of the world and the right to their opinion. Toral is given the chance. Time will tell how it is used, if there is any. Time is the biggest factor of all.
