Nice Post TM and I agree with you that definitely we want to see Anandi balancing her career and married life, and go to bigger heights.

They could have shown lot of things through Anandi and Shiv the transition of Jaitser village to district head quarters.Even if a place becomes a district head quarters the local governing body stays in place.I live in a place which has been made into a district and it is now the district head quarters.The local governing body takes care of the place and the district governing body is a seperate thing which responsible for the entire district.So they are two different things.Anandi still continues to be the sarpach of Jaitser village while the district governing body like Zilla parishath will take care of the entire district.

I wish they would show all these instead of just showing her making tea for her husband who is not in town.

They have lot of story to tell before they take a leap.

@ bold sorry to contradict here. Local governing body in district headquarter is Zila Parishad (not gram panchayat). A district has many villages and gram panchayat function in those villages. Gram Panchayat is a local self government which is responsible for administration of the village and which also looks after the welfare of the people in the village. A place (like Jaitsar) cannot be a village and also district headquarter. Since creatives will show whatever they want to show, I do not want to carry this argument further. I agologise if I have hurt anybody with my comment.

Zilla parishath takes care of all the villages that fall into that dIstrict.It is the overall governing body for the district.

Local problems of Jaitser village will be taken care of by the gram panchayat(local governing body)

To give an example Delhi is the capital of India and it houses the parliament

Delhi is the capital Delhi state which has its own CM

Delhi city has it's own mayor who is the head of the local governing body.

I hope this is not being taken as fight. Please visit website of panchayati raj department of Rajasthan government. You will get the answer. Regarding your example, try finding a village panchayat called Delhi. If we take Jaipur, it is capital of state and also headquarter of district Jaipur. The secretariat of State Governement is for governing the whole state. There will be only Zila Parishad as local self governing body. Villages under Jaipur will have gram panchayat. It is not true that village panchayat and Zila parishad co-exist for the same place (Jaitsar in the serial). Earlier, Jaitsar was a village (which was a part of some district, name not known), therefore, it had a panchayat. Now it has been promoted (increased in status) to district, so it is not a village anymore.
