" Pehla Nasha, Pehla Khumar" she hummed with the song as she twirled in his arms. He smiled at her with that special smile of his, the one smile that was reserved only for her, the one that only she could see. It was all there in his eyes, his gorgeous eyes. Everything he felt for her, the affection, the devotion, protectiveness, the unconditional love it was all there . And she knew he could see them mirrored in her eyes

"Naya pyaar hai,Naya intezaar"

It was Valentine's Day and Dadisa of all people had hosted a small party at the Singhs's haveli. Ganga suspected that she had done it to prove to the Shekhars that "gaav ke log" were just as good at this stuff as city people

So here she was ,in her beloved husbands arms trying to look as if knew exactly what she was doing and trying to avoid bumping into Collector Saab and Anandiji as they waltzed around them gracefully , lost in each other's eyes

"Hush" said her husband

"Huh?" she risked looking up from her feet long enough for him to see the question mark on her face.

"Stop thinking so loud. You are deafening me" he grinned at her, the first visible smile of that evening. Oh she had seen the secret smiles of course, but then only she could see them. Outwardly his face had been serious, solemn like it usually was and now finally he had decided to show the world he was enjoying himself and that too at her expense? She hated him

"Humph" she said grumpily. "So I can't dance . What about it?"

He smiled at her again, this time it was her smile, and deftly steered her away from an impending collision with Shiv-Anandi . She groaned internally

"Hold on to me tightly and kick off your sandals"

She blinked and looked up at him to make sure she had heard the whispered words correctly. He nodded gently, the smile still glowing in his eyes. Slowly, cautiously, she twined both her hands around his neck and tightened her grip on him

And then she was flying ,flying high as he waltzed her round and round the room, flinging her up only to catch her as she came down breathless, laughing hysterically. Soon he was laughing too, loudly , his dark eyes glowing , the lines on his face disappearing. She caught her breath. Moments like this...

"What?" he questioned still laughing, noticing her rapt gaze

"Nothing" she shook her head. "It's just moments like this reminds me how much I love You"

His gaze softened. Slowly he bent forward, his eyes growing even more darker if that were possible. Her own eyes closed involuntarily as his nose slid along her cheek before he planted the tiniest , most fleeting of kisses in the hollow behind her ear. And then he was gone, moving her round the room again , only the mischievous expression in his eyes proving that those few stolen moments had really happened

He raised an eyebrow. She gave him a mock glare. He merely laughed, the arrogant jerk and gathering her up close continued with their dance at a more sedate pace

"Kar doon main kya apna haar, ay dile bekaraar"

From the corner of her eye she could see that Shiv and Anandi were still lost in each other's eyes. Shiv's father Alok had just led his wife onto the floor, Bapusa was coaxing Masa to dance and even Dadduji was" line maaroing " a blushing Dadisa

Ganga chuckled at that and then nestled further into her Doctor Saab's arms sighing contentedly. He tightened his arms in response. Taking a deep breath she lifted her head up to meet his eyes and said distinctly

" Happy...Valentine's...Day" just the way the lady on the TV had said it. He stared at her and then lifting his hand, tenderly brushed the lock of hair lying on her cheek. She understood

" Chahe tum kuch na kaho,maine sun liya'..sun liyaaa". She smiled. Always
