May be from now on we will see a different Anandi. Her feeling over emotional about Singh was also due to a little unjustified guilt. Which is normal. She was feeling bad that misery was created due to the failure of marriage and now she is getting to move on while J is struggling. She saw the family's deep unexpressed sorrow. This guilt feeling is similar to a girl from a poor family getting married into a rich one. On the day she leaves.
I am glad hooked explained the meaning of pug fero as to wish the family the girl came from all the best. It is like a farewell and a good closure. It makes lot of sense for J to be there. Shiv did it with a pure heart and not for revenge. Though it is a 1 minute ritual, it is very significant for the girl.Anandi was justified in not wanting to do it on that day.

I really do think that much as I may rail at the CV's for ruining this and messing with that - the way Shiv has been characterized - it is genius.

We have very beautifully etched out characters here

Jagya - spoilt, rich, headstrong, not used to a 'No', will not hesitate to lie, cheat, steal to get his way

Anandi - Loyal, Loving, caring, almost servile in her efforts and need to please. Too emotional. Can be forced to do anything if the person in front is sad. Very fair in theory in public but not so much in her personal llife.

Shiv - Fair-minded, Sorted out, precise, very shrewd in sizing up people, soft spoken but with a steely resolve to stick to what he believes in.

Amazing !
I adore how these three interact and how in each situation Shiv comes off as the better man. Would love to see some of his calm disposition and stability rub off on Anandi.

Very nicely analysed the characteristics of all the three leads. I adore Shiv's character the most and I would hope Anandi to learn from him as well.

Thank you for the update Anita. I enjoyed reading everyone's comment.

After watching yesterday's episode, I had mixed feelings.

I was happy to see a cheerful Anandi, in the last 2-3 minutes of the episode and her confession too. I adore Shiv's character more and more for being so smart and tactful. I loved the way he sweetly but shrewdly sorted out his personal life, while bringing happiness for others as well. Hope Anandi will now save all his attention for him.

I also liked the way Ds told A to come when she is free. It was a good way of telling her to enjoy her life now and worry less about Singhs. Hence pay more attention to Shekhars.

About J's return, I still wish he had come home on with his own decision and not because AnSh asked him to. I did not like the way AnSh got all praises and J was left on a guilty mode. I mean the track could have developed better. Especially when Bhairon could respect J's decision then why not AnSh.
And yes, Anandi irritated me twice, once when she directed Makhan on where to place J's luggage. I felt there was no need to highlight that She and J shared the same room once. The other, when she thanked Shiv in the same stretchy way with a sad broken voice. Hope this stops from now onwards, and we get to see more cheerfulness from her.

Looking forward to see, how she responds to Shiv in Monday's episode.

At hooked, thanks for explaining why pag-phere rasam would not have made sense if conducted earlier.

The Episode begins where it ended yesterday with Jagya (J) visiting the old helper of Ganga's in-laws. On seeing J arrive Ganga walks away. J tells her that he wants to tell her something. But Ganga replies that she doesn't want to hear anything that he has to say and walks away.

J tells the old helper that he is leaving the village to go back to his family. J gives him his phone number and asks him to contact him if needed. J also tells him that he wanted to give his contact to Ganga as well. The helper looks concerned on hearing this from J. J asks him to take care and leaves.

Badi Haveli

Dadi Sa (DS) informs the family that Shiv (S) and Anandi (A) will be coming to the haveli on their way back from the orphanage. She tells them that he had something important to tell them. They all look worried. When S and A arrive, S tells them that there is nothing to be worried since he has got some good news for them. They share their experience at the orphanage. A tells them that the kids were so happy with DS gifts that they have sent a big gift for her. DS looks confused. S then shouts out to someone to come. J then enters. Seeing him everyone is shocked.

There is a slow motion walk into the room for the next two minutes. DS also walks upto him and J takes her blessings. DS overwhelmingly hugs him. She asks him why did he leave them? She continues telling him that she has only a few more days to live and requests him to let her live those days peacefully. She hugs him tight and starts crying. J then takes everybody's blessings who are so happy to see him.

DS then asks S and A where they found J. A replies that it was S who found J and that she was not aware that S asked her to accompany him to the orphanage for this sake. S tells the family that seeing them worried for J, he took the help of the police to find J and had also sent J's pictures around the neighboring villages and zillhas. It was only then that he got to know about J's whereabouts and that he would be visiting the orphanage. He tells the family that he took A along with him with a hope that they could convince J to return home. Everybody is very happy to hear this.

DS then calls out to Makhan and asks him to keep J's luggage in the room. A then tells Makhan to keep J's stuff in his room and not in the guest room. Everybody looks happy.

Ds then tells Gehena to get sweets. S tells her to also get laddos. On hearing this Ds asks him if he feels like eating laddo? S replies that the pag phera ritual needs to be completed. DS is happy to hear this and says that there cannot be a more auspicious day than this to perform the ritual. Sumitra and Gehena are sent to make preparations for the ritual.

S and A perform the ritual. DS tells A that she is leaving behind loads of happiness and prosperity in their house.

S-A take leave from the Singhs. DS tells them to visit whenever they get free time.

After S-A leave, DS tells J that he has faced a lot of hardships and has repented for it too. She tells him that they all are very sad on loosing a girl like A. It was a testing period for all of them, but now the past needs to be forgotten. She tells him that he should stay in the haveli itself and should not leave. Hearing this J asks DS if he deserves all this love and pampering from his family after all that he has done to them? Sumitra then tells him that she agrees with DS and asks him to forget the past. She says that from now on none of them will ponder on the past.

Nandu then comes back home from school and is happy to see J. Nandu tells J that Sankrant (its a festival of kites) is soon approaching and that they will fly kites together just like old times. Ds tells Nandu to take J to the market and buy whatever kites he likes. Everyone is happy to hear this. DS is so excited that she wants to invite everyone one home for the celebration.

Temple

S and A are shown praying in the temple when A is thanking God for returning happiness back to her family. Seeing A's happiness, S prays that her happiness always remains intact.

After coming out of the temple, A thanks S for taking the trouble to find J. She also thanks him for taking her along with him to convince J to get back home, although J returned only on S's insistence. She thanks him the most for bringing back the happiness to her family who have been longing to see their son return. She appreciates his responsibility and smartness in finding J.

S jokingly says that she had a very long list indeed. S also thanks A for her sensitivity and love shown towards his family sply Sachi. While saying this he touches A's ghunghat indicating the change she has made in her dressing for Sachi's sake. A says that she doesn't accept his thanks since she also has a relationship with all of them. S accepts his fault. A says that she loves every one in his family. To this S asks her if she loves Choti Ma, the person who did not like her at all at the beginning? A replies that she did not have anything against CM and that she loves her. S then takes Daddu and Alok's names to find out if A loves them, to which she says she loves them and also Ira. S then asks her if she likes Sachi? A says she loves Sachi as well as Mahi. S then asks her how about 'Shiv'? In the flow of her conversation she says that she loves him too and then realizes what S asked and feels embarrassed.

Voiceover : The person who tries to acquire happiness for others wholeheartedly, through his words and his actions, also experiences a sense of immense happiness.

Precap: S telling A that Shivraj Shekahar is now standing before her and asks her to express how much she loves him.

Thanks for the WU, Anita.😊
