Wow... loved the Fable & the mirroring it does to both their lives.
Indeed their lifes have come to a stand still - They both are held up in an Anthapura that is self made & imposed for their own sanity. They both though differ in their stances & the level at which their love & hurt , emotions has staged to; somewhere it's just these two who can heal each other & as well as probe & dig into their own wounds.
What an irony & coincidence that they've have met in such situations & periods of their lives with just one common link being Shiv & their fight & will to move ahead yet stagnant... yet not in form of a couple in love but one who in some weird form are sharing in angst.

There's so much more to it yet can't find apt words to put it all together...😊

The narrative is from 2 years ago to the current day. She was ignorant then. But, of course, in the course of time she is made aware of many things. Roshomon is the keyword. ;)

I know I have been tardy with updates, but hey! I'm trying ;)

Hmm! She was ignorant when the actual events happened. She only comes to know of them at a later time.

Somehow the picture that Prithvi made by sitting on the window ledge on some way did remind me of Mitra when she was posing for the potrait being Prithvi's muse. Don't know how but it just did frame together that way in my mind.

My heart went out to Prithvi in the start itself. I so adore & love Prithvi here.😳

How secluded & isolated has his life's canvas being painted at the present moment. His self introspection was so so much in depth that left him with deep hurt that the burn scar didn't even make an impact that he felt needed tending to, His lack of skills at home front was so relative to his feeling of emptiness of not having a home but a house in the absence of a loved one, so aptly potraying his lack of companionship & how the loneliness & inability to face the reality in absence of his trance of M has made him all sullen & brooding ( But it ahs made him more appealing to me... see there I go again...😉). ..." Men are just grown up babies..." hmmm true just a small prick can lead to fall of all prospectives in life, & needs so much of pampering.

Lack of love or to put it the distance & chasm cause of love between the world & self leads you to become a monster... but then isn't it love itself that later reedems you to feel those emotions again. ??? Love does give you the feeling of acknowledging the hurt that the lack of love does to you leaving the emptiness to become the cause of sustainance.

Loved the Hope that the part ended with... Is there any tiny miny scope for P-M ( Just felt with that whole Arabian nights link mentioned there... of all that wait or buying more time...) Would Love to know Prithvi's PoV with regards to this whole fable & his emotions that were not out here in this part...

This reminds me of my current favorite quote - Its one of those random things, I suppose.
"to conclude once again that the symptoms of love were the same as those of cholera."

Its going to be Mitra in the next update. Then Prithvi in the next. Then Prithvi again. Then its Shiv. Then its...😆

P&M will not meet until the story moves to the present day. Sorry!

For all the kinds of love he'd not given away until that time in his life, his love for her was that much more infinite, ever intensified in the way it rebounded against the emptiness in him.The tragedy of love - applies to the story and also Prithvi. Like the firefly that is attracted to the fire and goes up in flames.Prithvi is a figure that appeals to the heart causing him to be enfolded by love, yet the same love would burn him when he falls in love with M. Going up in flames... how could he stop...

The dance of passion continues between them and it does not look like the fire will die ever.. Not in a rush for Shiv yet.

This is precisely what I was planning to put in an update 3-4 parts away...We are thinking alike!
