The Singhs leave in other cars for the haveli. They had to reach home before the Shekhars and the baraatis. Gauri and Jagat are seated in the jeep and taken to the haveli. Anandi and Shiv's car is told by Mahi to take the longer route to the haveli. "Mahi ye rasta lamba padta hai. Tujhe nahi pata toh humse pooch na." "Bhai bilkul sahi rasta bataya hai. Thank you kahiye mujhe ki maine ye jugaad kiya hai." "Bhabhi ke saath shaadi ke baad pehli drive ko enjoy kar lijiye. Jo baaten shaaten nahi kar paye wo ab kar lijiye. Hum aankh aur kaan bandh kar dete hain kyun Mahi bhaiyya? Driver ji aap bas dhyaan saamne rakhiye yeh maan lijiye ki back seat par koi nahi hai." "Chup karo tum dono. Kuch bhi bolte hai. Pehli drive aisi ho itne extra passengers ke saath toh koi zaroorat nahi hai. Mahi tera na koi bhi jugaad kisi kaam ka nahi hai. Car ko seedhe haveli le."
First Gauri and Jagat's 'griha pravesh' was to be done. She is welcomed in the haveli. Gehna does her aarti. She pushed the kalash of rice a bit hard. Her kum kum pagla rasam was also done on a white cloth. She did the rasam with a smug look. She was happy for becoming the beenddi but more than that she had the feeling of shoving her victory in everyones face. She was finally the beenddi of the haveli. Her behavior was a bit crude. She was taken to the hall and seated there along with Jagat. They sit a little far. Her behavior shocked the Shekhar's rest all were unaffected by her. Gauri was all smiles and Jagat cursed Anandi and Shiv for forcing him to hitch to the bitch.
Anandi and Shiv arrive at the haveli. They are brought in and seated in the hall as well. They as usual sit as if they had some dushamani with the hawa. Every one sit and were chatting. Cold drinks and light snacks are served. Anandi and Shiv share from a plate. Anandi sees that Shiv was feeling very hungry. "Aapne promise kiya tha na? Aapne pehle hi din apna vada tod diya?" Everyone look at Anandi and Shiv. She was a little upset with him. Jagat feels very happy about it. "Aap naraaz kyun ho rahi hain? Haan maine vaada kiya tha par fingers cross kiye the. Is liye wo vaada hoke bhi nahi tha." "Main jaanti thi aap aisa hi karenge. Is liye aapse baat nahi karni thi mujhe." "Aap bhi jaanti hai na ki main aapke khaye bina nahi khata." Everyone realize that they were having a cute tiff because Shiv too had fasted with Anandi as she could not eat till the Kanyadaan was done.
As per muhurat there was time in Anandi's bidaai. Mahi, Ashi and Saachi share a secret look. They come to Daddu and ask permission to go home. "Tum log kaha jaa rahe ho?" Shiv asked. "wo bhaiyya hum na ghar ja rahe hain. wo bhabhi ke swaagat ki tayyari inka honhaar devar hi toh karega. Aap araam se bhabhi ko lekar aaiye hum saaarii tayyari karke rakhenge." "Tu kya tayyari karega?" "Kya bhaiyya aap ko meri management skills ka namoona mil gaya na. Toh bas fikar mat kijiye aaj raat ko aapko aur bhabhi ko koi problem nahi hogi." He winks. Anandi and Shiv are a bit shocked whereas everyone else laughs.
Anandi wanted to go to her room. She is allowed to. "Mere saath upar kamre mein chaliye." Jagat and Gauri are shocked to hear Anandi openly telling Shiv to go to the room with her. Gauri looking at Jagat with an accusatory look,"Hmm is ke liye tum mujhe Dr. Guari ko chod kar aaye the. Ye yahan is Collector ke saath chakkar chala rahi thi aur tum ghanchakkar bankar apna sab kuch luta baithe. You fool." They are to play the games of a bride and groom. They compete with each other. It was not a competition of love but that of greed, pride and jealousy. Gauri won and she did put Jagat down in front of all.
Anandi and Shiv go to her room in her maayka. They pray in front of her mother's photo and take blessing. "Anandiji ek baat kahoon. Aap bura toh nahi manengi?" "Kahiye." "Jis ghar mein ek beti apna naya jeevan shuru karegi kya aapko nahi lagta uss ghar mein uski ma ke ashirwaad ki zaroorat bhi hoti hai?" "Jee main samjhi nahi." "Ghar par main Dadima aur Chote papa ko diya karta hoon. Main chahoonga ki aap bhi mere saath rahe tab toh kya aap nahi chahengi roz ma ko diya karna aur mera aapka aapke saath wahan hona?" "Jee?" "Jee aap sahi samajh rahi hain. Hum ma ko bhi apne saath apne ghar le jayenge." They very neatly pack Bhago's photo in a white cloth. They then remember the time they had spent in this very room. Shy smiles appear on their faces. They go down.
An early supper at 6:45 pm for the family and friends was announced and everyone go to the courtyard where arrangement was done. Mahi, Ashi and Saachi had just returned in time. The families sit on one table.Two extra seats had to be added for Jagat and Gauri. Anandi and Shiv were sitting next to each other. There are two plates in front of Anandi and Shiv. Daddu says,"Arre bhai ye kya? Yahan ek extra plate kiske liye lagi hai bhai? Humaare yahan to shaadi ke din naya joda ek hi plate se khata hai. Hata do bhai wo extra plate hata do." The extra plate is removed and now Anandi and Shiv have to share a plate. They are all smiles for ppl who did not know that post wedding they had decided to eat from the same plate would think that these were shy smiles but no these were sly smiles.
"Daddu wo ek aur rasam hoti hai na 'Hast Bandhan'? wo rasam Daddu aapne samjhayi thi na jahan dulha dulhan ke ek ek haath ko saath mein baandh diya jaata hai?" "Arre haan dekh bhai ye umar ki wajah se main toh bilkul bhool hi gaya tha." Anandi and Shiv's hands are tied together. Shiv takes the first morsel and puts it in front of Anandi to feed her. Everyone look at Shiv's bold move. She too readily eats from his hands and feeds him too. Everyone is again amazed at her bold move. "Arre Daddu aap wo rasam toh bhool hi gaye jahan dulha dulhan ek doosre ko khana khilate hain." Shiv looks at Daddu and Mahi. Anandi and Shiv smile at the dumbfounded Mahi and Daddu. They continue to feed each other with ease as they have done it before. Jagat and Gauri were very aggravated with the royal treatment of Anandi and Shiv. They did not like that everyone is happy for only Anandi and Shiv as they too were a newly wedded couple. Every body enjoyed supper.They then come in the haveli till the bidaai muhurat. They were to go to C H as Anandi's pag pacchha muhurat was for the next day. They would on Sunday early in the morning leave for Kesar baug.
