Anandi was dealing with the worst days of her life. She wanted to study and wanted to stand on her own feet and bring her family out of the poverty line, but her fate and her destiny never allowed her to do. Though being a very hardworking and an intelligent girl with a Midas touch in her she could do nothing. She could never go against her parent wishes. As asked by her parents she quit her studying and was now involved in taking tuitions for her family and used to do her morning job of delivering news papers which she has been doing for the past 7 years of her life. As she was free for the rest of the day, she took up working in a cloth emporium near to her house, so that she could kill time and also she could support her family financially. She worked as a sales girl there, but when the owner of the shop found that she is very intelligent and can handle accounts well, he asked her to work in the accounts department, i.e., collecting cash from customers and also collecting clothes and paying the bills to their clients who bring clothes in bulk for the shop.

The next day Jagya's and his parents went to Anandi's house and asked her hand for marriage. Her parents at first refused as Anandi was the scapegoat to them and also she was the one who took the responsibility of the house. They refused it by saying that they are not worth enough to marry their daughter to a rich person like them, to which Jagya's parents answered that they only want the girl and nothing else. They would even look after the marriage expenses and her clothing, all that they need to do is do the kanyaadaan of the girl. Anandi's parents firstly refused but later gave it a thought and felt this as the best thing as they need not spend any money on Anandi for her marriage and secondly since she is getting married to a rich person which means Anandi would b able to help them come out from the poverty and they agreed for the marriage.
