Shiv and Guari are in similar shoes. The people they want to marry are finally going to be free of their respective spouses. Yet - there reactions vary much:
- Gauri wants to have a party and seemingly doesn't sense Jug's pain at all
- Shiv, on the other hand, feels Anandi's pain and has to stop himself from consoling her.
-Gauri is too "busy" to answer Jug's phone nevermind going to Jaipur with him though she knows how alone he will feel.
- Shiv because of actual work prakats himself in Jaipur not even knowing Anandi will be there.

- Jogia tries to drink away his hurt and takes out his pent up emotions on perfect strangers
- Anandi cries through her hurt and tries to keep her emotions in check in front of others (be it Shiv or her family)
- Jogia remembers the bad times of their marriage
- Anandi recalls the good times in their childhood

The differing reactions to the same event starkly reflect the genuineness & inner strength of Shiv and Anandi as individuals vis a vis the falsities and weaknesses of Guari and her Jagat.
