hello,
I just went through the entire thread and thought I would just add my thoughts on this topic.
I started watching this serial about 2 years ago, and I was under the impression that the main stay is to show the evils of child marriage and also show the other common social problems. But of recent I find that it is just concentrating on showing bad side of jagdish and gauri. I think all the 3 characters have been wronged equally because of the child marriage, also none of the parents are taking any responsibility. The mother and father apart from slapping and tightening his finances have not tried to understand his situation.
Anandi is no doubt a very mature human being, but just to show how successful she is, its not necessary to defame and paint the other two in bad colours.
I thought the main idea of showing jagia's bigamy points to the evil of child marriage, when the immature person does not understand the gravity of the relationship. But if his second marriage fails does it not show that the parents were right in choosing his wife at that tender age and getting them married??.So it does not convey the message for which they started the serial.
Also Jagia could not complete his studies mainly because of him going home, but suddenly he is shown so arrogant, which is beyond doubt. This man did do his undergraduate studies without any personality issues, so again just to please the audience, is it right to show him so rude without belief?
I would like to add that I am not being biased towards any specific character.
