Where did the CV's say something wrong? They never talked about the historical context of child marriage, much less give false info, so why is it being brought up?

The issue is with the word "Pracheen"-translated to "ancient".

TM it will be very good if you dont use word Muslim and Islamic here ...you can straight forward use word Mughal..every community has good or bad things that doesn't mean you should involve all ..you are saying you are not including religion in here but your posts can be taken as a clear target though i am not saying it was your intention but this meaning can be driven out ..it will be very good of you don't include words Muslim and Islamic invasion .and this happened after it .why don't you just say Mughal invasion ..but please avoid using those words which can hurt or cause fight here among members

I think the term "Muslim Invasion" was taken wrongly. Nobody stated that Muslims STARTED IT. It was said that Hindu Orthodox customs, including child marriage, became more rigid owing to the threat to their religion from Muslims. There's a difference.

What kind of threat you are talking of? Rape! You think that soldiers won't rape married women! The muslims were raping hindu women, so the best solution was to get them married early 😆. I don't think men will think twice before indulging in such activities.

Are absolutely sure you have your facts right? because for some research I was doing I read up plenty of vedic texts that not only support child marriages but also dowry, female infanticide and sati. I could look them up for you if you like.

But in any case it doesn't matter who started it because like India has gotten rid of Sati inspite of having religious back up for it they can surely get rid of child marriage. Playing the blame game for the past instead of going forward would turn us into Jagyas 😆

I see. But doesn't the term "ancient" differ in details depending on who you're talking to? It seems ambiguous. Or does the term specifically refer to ancient Hindu history? Apologies if my questions seem silly, I'm not super fluent in Hindi.

GOD! No-one is playing any blame game here. Wish some people would be a bit more perspective.

What?🤪
There was a threat to Sanatan Hindu Dharma after Muslim raids and plundering of temples, e.g., Ghazni Mahmood. The rise of Orthodoxy was a direct response to that.
