Are sifarish and refference the same things.. I think it was a refference Not a sifarish.. She reffered him.
In refference, one may suggest for some one to judge if S/He suits the requirement of the Job. If yes only then the person is hired..
Sifarish is to make sure that person gets the job, irrespectine of S/He is not fully competant for the position...But in case of Sifarish, which she has actually commited herself that she has done.. it may be a problem for HR manager as well .

Hmmm. Well, I mean, sifarish is a bit of a grey area. Where I'm from, it's very difficult to get a job if you don't have some connections... that's how things work here a lot of the time. So I can understand Gauri feeling like she needed to resort to that. While it's not morally correct to go via those channels (Jagat essentially took up a position that could have gone to someone with more humility and keenness to learn - i.e. someone more suited to the post), it's often necessary in today's world, and he was qualified for the job. And to be fair, he got the job itself based on merit... Gauri only asked them to give him a chance. She got him the interview, but he got himself the job. I think it's kind of unfair for her to take all the credit, to be honest!
Also, on some level, don't you think saying that two things, like a person and a job, that are destined for each other will automatically come together in some way kind of takes hard work out of the equation? I suppose luck is a big factor too... but I personally tend to doubt the concept of fate a little. I feel like things happening is a 50:50 between fate and our actions. So with Jagat, carrying on the way he was doing before he got a job (i.e. lounging on the sofa and watching cricket/eating crisps) wouldn't have got him anywhere unless he won the lottery or somehow inherited a huge sum of money from a mystery rich person 😆 I think that with his current attitude, he's destined for joblessness. So I suppose you are right in that Gauri trying to force him into this job unnaturally was doomed to failure!
I'm not sure that post entirely makes sense... my posts always seem to turn into streams of consciousness instead of being structured arguments! Lol...

Nothing bad in recommendation if the person is capable of the post. I guess jagat's attitude is not fit for recommendation but his knowledge is. Gauri was selfish in this case but recommending jagat was not wrong. Being a wife its her duty as well as her right to think gud for her hubby.

Ya recommandation and reffering are not bad..
Normally a person who recommand some one does not take credit , that I recommanded you because even after recommandation , it is all individual's qualification that s/he gets the job..
But she carried away to take credit of her recommandation also.. 😆😆

jagya ko lag raha hoga ki use uske apne job search aur talent ke aadhar pe use job mili hai isliye woh khush tha pur jub use pata chala ki use sifarish se job mili hai to woh sad ho gaya .pur jagya ko bhi sochna chhahiye jub main ms nahi hoon to phir bhi mujhe sng mein job kaise mil sakti hai.tumhe sng mein job milni hoti to pehle na mil jaati

"Handle with care" comes with glassware similarly "Handle with care"tags with egoistic people regardless of their gender.

I guess Gawari didn't do the aftermath of getting her husband into her workplace and denying his existence. Recommending a person who is able and looking for opportunity is not all bad but we do have to about the person we recommend coz what they will do will come out as a bad remark on you as well.

If at all you did recommend someone who is relative to you, i doubt how insightful they did that. And the worst part is you can't go and explode on that person infront of everyone in the workplace saying you are a fool to pick that person which you really are!

Gauri only recommended Jagya becasue she was fed up of coming back home and seeing his sad face and his taunts abt not earning anything. Also that she did not want to go to bangalore. She consulted her gawar mother and recived a gawar response. Gauri ragian showed her highly selfish side..she recommended jagat to get rid of his tantrums..she does not at all care abt jagat's career...all she cares is her own image in the society anf how embarrassing it would be for her to have a husband who is lesser qualified than her and also who is unemployed...

Her mother is not educated and has lived her life in the village. She does not know anything abt professional life...all she knows is her chulha chauka n hsband. so she is bound to give such an response..ki kahi job lagwa do..

But gauri should understand this before doing the sifarish. and if she is so much brilliant and intelligent she should have forseen all this might happen in the the future.

Again when jagat was in trouble with teh sr doc..instead of handling the situation properly she shouted at jagat and hereby saved her own job and career..

I was actually talking from a spiritual perspective when i said 'mismatch'... that if things are not clicking naturally, then there is perhaps a reason why they are not... I did not mean mismatch of hiring an engineering graduate or architect for a doctors position.
That being said, even if mbbs is the educational qualification for a job, there are so many other things that need to be a fit -- personality type, communication skills, ability to work with diverse people, abilit to work in large teams etc. etc.
Jagat may not be a fit for working as an assistant doctor in an environment like SNG (whatever it be)...so gauri should have been able to assess that I feel...
I mean Lal singh despite being an M.S. would be a misfit for SNG because that is not his personality -- and Gauri would be a misfit for a rural hospital because that is not the environment she would best function in. Similarly, I think jagat wants independence and freedom, and working in a heavily structured prescriptive environment like SNG may not be the best fit.
Even when folks have MBAs, some cant deal with constant uncertainty, so they join organizations. others cant work in structured environments and crave adventure and entrepreneurship, so they will be good to work in start-ups instead.
I feel that the employment opportunity of Jagat at SNG would have come about naturally if it had to happen, and if it did not happen, giving the sifarish was possibly trying to force something when it was not the right time or place.

Actually this is a very good way to articulate what i meant by 'fit' ! Thanks sujal for putting words to my thoughts. 😆
