The concept of sifarish

I am wondering if despite gauri's intentions, this sifarish of jagat was the right thing to do...
I mean, I feel that if two things (job and person) are to match, they will automatically come together in some way... by doing sifarish, you sort of unnaturally bring together two entities that were possibly not meant to be and actually force a mismatch which can explode later on.
Any comments?

Theoratically ur point is rit, but practically its not always true. Sometime even a talented person cant get chance, becoz he is unnoticed in the crowd, but others due to connection even less or equally talented get the chance. If sifaris is done just to test or recognise the person and thn give him chance according to his ability, i dont find wrong. But if sifaris is done, just to push a good for nothing person, thn its bad. All social workers or NGO sometime do sifaris to help a talented person, who can just lost in the crowd, becoz he hs no means to even show his talent. Once he is helped to recognise, thn its now up to him.

Do you think that jagat was deserving of the sifarish...or would you count him as a good for nothing person?

Surely if Gauri recommended Jagya then it makes her judgement seem bad and emotional because she did it because Jagya is her husband. On Gauri's part it was the worst decision she could have made she mixed personal with professional and could have effected her own career, no doubt everyone at the hospital will forget Gauri recommended him and Gauri's life at the hospital will continue to be great, but as a boss I would be miffed that Gauri recommended him when his not fit for the hospital.

Jagya was not getting an opportunities except for his friend's hospital. Had Gauri left him to fester a little long I think he may have gona back to the right decision of taking his exams or become an alcoholic. Think either way he will become an alcoholic he just can't handle his problems and waits on destiny to solve it for him.

Recommendations should only be given if you know them well enough to know they can do the job properly and know how to behave otherwise it can backfire on you

Great point. i think gauri gave the recommendation to benefit herself and her personal situation of having an unemployed husband without giving due thought to jagat's temperament for doing the job ... as well as turning a blind eye to the fact that being an assistant doctor would not sit with him...

i guess there are two concepts - reference and recommendation. In case of BV, do u really think it was a recommendation?? Gauri went to the HR and asked if they would have openings for a doctor. They said they dont usually recruit MBBS doc, but they'd consider Jagat's case. They interviewed him and found him able enough to work for the hospital and he got the job.
IMO, its more a reference than a recommendation. Had the HR found Jagat to be a absolutely good for nothing, would they have offered him the job?? i dont think so..so all the credit taking that Gauri is now doing may be a bit misplaced.
of course, that said, his behavior at the hosp was unacceptable. But he did get the job coz of his merit and not just coz gauri recommended him

Tinoo I think from a moral pov obviously recommendation is a malpractice. In a country like India, dozens of people, with the best of degrees, fight for a single job position. So giving such a job to a recommended person is equivalent to snatching that upportunity from a person who was possibly more deserving. And hence from a moral pov undoubtedly recommendation is wrong.
But if we forget the moral perspective for a moment...from a personal pov recommendation should only be done if a person for whom you are doing it has no problem in getting a job in this way.And here I agree with you that gauri was wrong in recommending him.She being his wife should have understood that he will not like it when the truth will be out.He will consider it as an insult.I know everyone will say that we anandi fans are always against gauri even when she has right intentions but i think she was wrong. If someone...even my mother for that matter...recommends me for a job then knowing the kind of person I am I think I will be very upset with my mother and may fight with her.Its all about what the person's perception is about this concept. Some ppl dont have aproblem in getting a recommended job but others have. And from that pov gauri was wrong even though she had right intentions.

Tinoo...i think if gauri would have discussed it with jaggya before referring him at SNG...that i can refer u at SNG jagat...r u fine with it?...then it would not matter so much...

but i didn't understand it what did u mean by a force a mismatch? 😕...jaggya is a doctor only..so is he not suitable for the assistant doctor's position? he is capable enough to do this job...so i don think it was a mismatch!...

jaggya has no problem with this job..but he has problem that he was assigned tasks under his wife!...if the hospital authority has asked him to do the same job under some other doctor..i don think there would be a problem for him! 🤔

i dont think there is problem of sifarish...today competition is so hard ..people try to settle each other and other people take it as sifarish...thats what gauri did coz jagat wastotaly frustrated

it was time to jagat proved himself" taqi log usse kehte aapki wife MD h but still is not talelented like you."...lekin har jagh usey mar dhaad chaiye

same sen doc who is agresive in front of others may b turrn polite if you proved your work,,,sifarish word ko hum apni capability se light kr skte h...

jagya is failed in this case...he is looser ...now people want he to slap gauri so that one more person cry after jagat...

but tinoo...he told gauri at the first day itself that i want to change my department...does it not mean that he had no problem with the job but he had problem that he have to work under his wife?
