Revenge. Did anyone taste it??? It is the yummiest dessert anyone can have. There are several types of people,Who can forgive and forget and there are some more who will serve their revenge cold.
Every human has a beast within and once it is woken up, only few will be able to pacify it and get it back to sleep but others go ahead and fulfill its thirst. I don't differentiate between the two types. They both are same to me. We can only sacrifice our happiness to an extent. In real life no person will let the other take their life and forgive them. I , personally will never sacrifice, if my husband will fell in love with another woman. I will rip everything apart for justice. Just because i appreciate Anandi for her attitude will never give me the patience of earth to do something like she does.

Here everyone wants the couple to suffer because of how they stomped others lives to make their life happening. the moral sense of most of us wants them to be brought to justice. No wants them to be dead or something. Even Ankit and Tinoo mentioned that we have this spite until Gawari and her illegal partner realize their mistakes. Once they realize what they have done then they will live with the shame and never hurt any other. until they learn their lessons they are downgraded before the moral stance of many people in this forum.

mein sahi mein serious thi ... TM ke post se mujhe aise laga jaise woh yeh soch rahi hai ki hum log lifelong revenge ke aag mein tadapte rahenge ... aur baki saara kaam chod kar bas isi revenge ke peeche lage rahenge ... but aapka point mujhe mere point ke saath align hotey dikha ... ki it is not life long tit for tat ... it is just enough to let the other person know ... that is all.
For me, it is not even about inflicting revenge on the other person as part of punishing him/her for the past... it is more so that they think twice about doing it to me in the future. If you dont say anything, it will happen again and again.

totally agree it has great entertainment value. but projected o personal life things change.
liek shahrukhs reaction in baazigar is nice entertainment but not good in personal life.

But I did not talk about 'projecting' anything to real life. What happens in fiction stays in fiction. Why should I feel empathy or sympathy for a character in a piece of fiction when I don't need to. If Gauri is a fictional character and I want to hate her, I will. But let me add that if I knew a Gauri in real life, I would definitely treat her like a pariah because my set of morals does not condone adultery no matter what the justification.

This reminds me of the 80's tv show Dallas when we all 'loved to hate JR'.😊
but my post is about real life situations .

however i do belive it settling scores and then forgetting , thats a more practical one where u can do that do it and move on, dont keep getting consumed in it.
another fact is that sometimes there comes a time when u cant settle score also nor can u forget, then instead of gonig around in fury and increasing ur baggage it is much better to let go and forget! personally i do this i wieghtthe relationship with that person versus the act aganst me which ever is more imp i choose that!
revenge is not always the best policy and nor is turnnig the cheek always, every act needs to be weighed and outcome chosen

settling the scores is a good option ... if only it can last.
the real score can be set when u have assasinated the enemy ... even then u wil live in fear kahin uska bhai ya beta ya beti naa aa jaaye ... then u assasinate his family.
the person will keep coming back ... to exact revenge and settle scores .tehre is no end to it ... kyuni wo bhi to aisa hi sochta hai ...
and here i have not used the word u to refer to you ... i have used it merely as a person.
