yes completely agree with both of u!!
it is the time when actually anandi can cry her heart out!!
for me...it is not a over reation at all!!
whether u r suspecting something...ppl around u telling u indirectly something abt it...thats a diff situation...
but when the whole truth comes infront of u...it is not easy to digest!!...anandi's reaction is absolutely OK!!
and jyo...bringing back avika for badi n chhoti anandi convo...not going to be easy now!!.😉...coz avika is no more looking like chhoti in any way...😆...c is looking sooo gorgeous in sasural simar ka...i simply adore her!!😛
about jagat's love for gauri...i have a serious doubt on that...a person who is lieing at every step n every stage in his life...how can he loves gauri...
he is not loyal to his 24 years old relationship with his family!!
how can he remains loyal to a 5 years old relationship with gauri!!
for me gauri is in serious trouble!!
about the child marriage...jagiya anandi marriage is already failed!!
for me mgs is already sent!!
it is already a disaster!!

yeah khushi, avika is looking absolutely gorgeous in SSK ,bilkul bhi choti nahi lagthi 😉simar se bhi badi...😆...
haan, will be difficult for CVs to bring her back as choti anandi unless totally ghunghat ke andar chuppa do..but it would be fun if she came back once more to BV...😍 for me she will always be THE ONE and ONLY Balika vadhu..⭐️...
Jagat may love gauri but love without trust means nothing...He can blame his child marriage as much as he wants but his relationship with gauri since coming to mumbai began when he was an adult and its continuing for 6 years based on a foundation of lies..He is just a compulsive liar and will have to face consequences of those numerous lies..
yeh chhora gauri ki nazaron mein hii gir jaayegaa jab saari sacchhai baahar aayegii...This is certainly NOT the way you treat the one you love, gauri deserves better...🤔..

Everyone has made some valid point or the other.

My own perception of this serial is that ...whilst this is about child marriages and the fact that it should be stopped...I think the message from here onwards to go back to the parents and their realisation of the part they have had to play in this disaster.

Once both sets of parents realise the problems with marrying off your children at such a young age then Anandi should be helped, encouraged and allowed to study further.

Anandi, who could not continue studying in the 5 years whilst Jagya was away despite her revealing his lies...is not about to suddenly get up and study now...Bhairon has realised what they have done and for me that is a great start because this is a problem that needs to be addressed from the root (which is the parent's way of thinking).because neither Anandi nor Jagya were old enough to know right from wrong...

As for Jagya ... he loves only Jagya...he thinks he loves Gauri but I fear with the way his character is unfolding...it does not shine like a beacon of trust, honesty or worthiness for any girl.

Anandi's reaction was very realistic. As much as nobody ever wants to admit it, any woman would react like that...whether u fall to the ground or lash out in anger...it's all the same. no matter how much society changes and gets modernized even if u live in the states like me, this is one thing that will never change. women are born with a gazillion emotions, and that's just how it is...yeah anandi shouldn't be surprised, but this was still not expected. there's always hope. i still want jagya and anandi back together. it's a show. it's not real life. it'd be pretty darn messed up if jagya just got with gauri and lived happily ever after while anandi gets screwed. dont' think so!!

Agreed on that. Anandi should definitely move on from Jagya, but so should Gauri, he has not shown himself worthy of any ones love.

Very True and well said!

I think the serial would really drive a proper social message (as we know, it loves to pepper a MORAL SCIENCE message at the end of each episode), if parents of Anandi and Jagat admit their mistake in pushing the young children into a lifelong relationship of marriage. Part of Bhairon's admission that he feels responsible for ruining Anandi's life is a step closer to that admission. More than Bhairon and Sumitra, Anandi's parents MUST realize they made a mistake by letting their young girl get married and not giving a chance to live a life on her terms. I wish they would show that kind of social message. To be honest, if girls parents refuse to marry their young ones off, no one will be forced into child marriage.

The ratio of women to men is 934:1000 in India - pathetic by most counts. But the silver lining is that there are more men that women and as men seek future wives, there will be a higher demand for each woman of marriageable age. While this is a morbid side-effect, its a blessing in disguise for women in India, who may have more choices of actual able men to choose from. I hope the serial picks on all these nuances and does not show typical, stupid, cry-baby story lines.

Then again, most of the folks who make serials are wealthy with little interest in uplifting Indian society. Their goal is profit making and little else. I do not expect much from this lot of entertainers but someone needs to put a stake in the ground and take that first step...keeping fingers crossed.

I think you guys are taking this show too seriously. Yes Balika Vadhu has a social message about child marriage not being a good thing. But you always gotta look at things from both sides. If there weren't people who believed in it, it wouldn't still be happening so you gotta paint the picture on both sides...why would people do it if there was no benefit at all in it? and of course you gotta show what would happen negative in it. Anandi and Jagya are going through a phase in life where they're seeing the negative effects of marriage. However, you gotta understand that there are alot of people in Rajasthan and other places that are already in this situation. so they gotta show that yes, it's bad to have a child marriage, but once ur already in it, it's late to turn back so do it with the most minimal damage...in other words, it does not mean Jayga should screw over Anandi, and Anandi should just get screwed. Being it's a serial, there's still gotta be a happy ending. It'd be different if it was a bollywood movie, cuz then it'd be a 3 hour movie and u wouldn't develop the same attachment in 3 hours as you would in 3 years of watching Jagya and Anandi in a marriage. They still gotta keep people happy cuz it's still a tv show. Basically it's not meant to be a teacher, it's just showing the good and bad of child marriage. I don't see much good, but they gotta still go with the storyline properly in a way that makes people happy.

Well.ok..fine...lets keep child marriage on the side for a bit..but even then i must say the makers are indeed sending the right message across.😉...i mean even in reality men typically get attracted to girls who are happy chirpy and lively..versus sad sorry crying girls!...and frankly gauri fits in to the happy description easily ..versus anandi..i am yet to see an episode since the leap where she's been shown constantly happy...i dont know why the makers are portraying anandi like this..i mean i could not go through the last part of todays episode...she is just so so damn slow...and dumbness personified..its really not happening anymore!...felt like shaking her...really..i have to say now that even keeping all this child marriage saga aside..even then i would so so prefer jagiya gauri together...i am now begining to dislike anandi...as a viewer i cant keep watching her slowness and dumbness unconditionally!! ...and i wont buy a justification that she's a village girl..so sober and dull...girls like phooli and gehna made sure they developed and moved forward..and stood up now and then...and eventually they gained...they too were village girls..so whats anandis excuse...really..i have to say...its hardly that entertaining anymore to watch her!

Soha and Sonia -

Both of you have made several valid points

In the case of the serial...I agree that our discussions is in the hopes that the CV's could have used this serial...(TV being a great medium) to educate some if not many. But yes Soha has a point it is a long running serial and as I mentioned before it will eventually turn out to be a love story...I am fine with that as long as some sensible message is shown in a sensitive and realistic manner. I agree many still follow this ritual and and in today's reality all this is really your fate or destiny (whatever one may choose to call it)...but there is no harm in educating viewers about the necessity of education itself.

Sonia...I think what we are really seeing in Anandi is bad direction, bad scripting...they have not kept the characteristics of the old Anandi alive ...instead they have gone to the other extreme...this is where fiction overtakes reality on a matter which was probably the simplest thing for the storywriters and director to retain a continuity...

I, myself have been guilty of blaming the actress who I still do not prefer to Avika but it really is not her fault...she is just playing out the role given to her...it is tedious to watch her, annoying and when we should be feeling bad for her...I want to strangle her and tell her to get up and move on. Again Phooli and Gehna are a direct contrast to Anandi...probably because the dear CV's did not know any other way to show the difference. This is sad because most people are getting fed up with Anandi and her character and what she must be going through ...and is not garnering the sympathy that was probably intended.

sonia ji bang on i am frustrated seeing anandi, like this, feeling zero sympathy 4 her, u r right she is slow, she can instantly put u 2 sleep, now if i need a good nights rest, i will watch anandi 4 five min, job done😛
she is no more entetaining, and however bad jagya is, i will prefer to watch him anyday, he is really making the show interesting, and his chemistry with gauri is commendable, they look much better than jag anandi
i dont know when anadi's crying marathon will end
yeat she saidthat is she not worthy of jagyanow i feel she will study and get modern to get jaggu back , if that happens then it realy the pits 4 her character
