No matter what it cannot be denied that these are the consequences of child marriage...Bhairon realized that today...he shouldn't have married Jagya-Anandi when they were kids...as I see it Infidelity is just the top layer which is visible to all, because Jagya was attracted to Anandi and they consummated and then he went to the city and fell in love with Gauri...deep down inside its only and only the consequence of "Child Marriage" ! Jagya did not get a chance to chose his life partner, thats the fact...in his upbringing all his friends had beendnis during school..he just went with the flow...and of course hormones did the rest of the work when he entered teens...but only after going to mumbai did he see a new world, met new people and eventually fell in love...and this very same child marriage now became a phansi ka phanda for life...I am glad he said that to Bhairon coz this sends out the right message...dont get young children married and spoil their life...right now not just Anandi, but Jagya as well as Gauri and the family everyone's life and emotions are at stake just because of child marriage...

I have said this before: how is jagya-gowri relationship -- two people who were married as children --against child marriage? that is THE FUNNIEST THING I HAVE HEARD. if the cvs were against child marriage they would have never shown gowri as the same girl who was jag's wife. When this fact is disovered will J lecture against child marriage like he did in the case of A? I bet he won't - instead he will delight in the fact that they were married and try and trap G.

Even I am waiting to see how the cv's will handle this situation when the truth is revealed...and hoping they dont glorify another child marriage...yes if Jagya-Gauri as 'adults' decide to get married "legally" (not based on their previous nullified child marriage) then I would definitely be all for it...two people in love want to seal a relationship for life...go ahead...

When people in this forum who can read and write (not unpad according to Jagya's standards) are not able to come to an agreement that the current story line is highlighting evils of child marriage, how in the world will the villagers where it is actually practiced see it as evil? I am assuming villagers do watch this show. The moral of the story to them will be 'don't send your sons to big cities or else they will be spoiled'.
In order to teach the evils of child marriage, they could have shown Anandi giving birth and all the complications associated with it. The dangers of giving birth at young age, how it is a marital rape when the girl is just 13. Then how at age 20, the ladies will look like 40's due to lack of nourishment and rest. But in this serial, all look so young and vibrant. They could have shown parallels of young girls taking responsibility of household in the villages and young girls around the same age enjoying their life in cities etc..

Good points...I seriouslyyy doubt ANY villager will get any moral out of this other than the one you've mentioned...that the "big bad cities" corrupt all youngsters and they forget their roots, their families and relations.

@bold: Exactly...THOSE were the REAL evils of child-marriage that they COULD have shown...but every "beendni" in this show is having a gala time all decked up...where's the lesson in all this again?😆

The reason people in this forum cannot come to a consensus is because of different perspectives and different ways of looking at things...as I had mentioned in one of the threads earlier...every story, every news, every incident can be perceived in different ways based on how one wants to look at it...but I do enjoy reading all posts and views...its fun 😊 how diametrically different views can be on the same storyline ! and regarding villagers who watch this show...god knows what their perspective is...may be they are seeing the evils of child marriage depicted through this show as I do...or may be they are seeing this as an infidelity as seen by some of the members here...anything is possible...different people - different views

Thanks. Who knows what the villagers think about this show? I sincerely hope they learn that child marriages are evil and it is child abuse. I haven't seen this serial since the beginning, so don't know what messages they showed at the end that time. I hope they had mentioned marrying girls at young age is indeed child abuse.

They showed the same kind of messages in the beginning also...but with a little more credibility as they tackled the issue of Anandi wanting to study and how her childhood was being snatched away from her...but this show has now dragged on far too long without any REAL lessons emerging from it so they have NO credibility on the child marriage issue anymore...they are just showing timepass melodrama😆😆

They did show several messages pertaining to child marriage before leap, in relation to Anandi's studies...after leap they turned it into a boring teeny bopper romance, where Jagya's hormones ran wild and he and Anandi ended up consummating their so called marriage...once Jagya moved to Mumbai the story is back on track...this is the first time after leap the cv's have touched upon the true theme of the show...although this show has its share of glitches, but its definitely one of the best shows on colors I guess...which has managed to stay close to its theme !

@divmath, I second that. currently this is the only soap that seriously looks at relationships: anandi-Dadisa; Anandi-her parents-in-law; Anandi-Gehna; Gehna and Dadisa; Gehna and Basant, Gehna and Sumitra; Jag and his parents; Anandi-Jag and Jag-Gowri. It also shows complex emotions -- like that between Gehna and DS and Gehna-Basant.. I like the fact that the serial focuses on arguments and relationships rather than on some big bindi-mangalsutra wearing mil, chamak-dhamak scheming vamps and evil sisters-in -law. The problems arise out of relationships and not because some villain has schemed up something. I like the fact that it shows the hero-villain (Jag) aspects of the same person. In between it went OTT like during that psychoTeepri time but now it is riveting.
