Neha Marda (born 15th January) is a famous Indian TV actress who is playing the role of Gehna in Baalika Vadhu on Colors TV Channel. Belonging to the Marwari Marda family, Neha is a native of Kolkatta (West Bengal). With an active interest in Acting as well as Dancing, Neha has also won 3 consecutive Boogie Woogie Dancing Competion on Sony Channel when she was 17, 18 and 19, respectively. (Sony Entertainment Television).Having great interest in dancing, Neha has learnt Bharat Natyam for nine years and Kathak for seven years, along with several other dancing arts.

Neha Marda is presently working in the following TV Serials: Baalika Vadhu, Ek thi Rajkumari, Saath rahega always, Jo Ishq ki marzi who rab ki marzi,etc. In addition to that, she also got an offer from a South Indian film, but she was left with no alternative, other than to forgo the offer, as she was not ready to leave her serials, now.

Neha Marda, as an actress is very committed to the task handled to her. She admits that for preparing the role of Gehna in Baalika Vadhu, She had watched Shekhar Kapoor's controversial film Bandit Queen, for a perfect role. In addition, her committedness is proved by the instance, that during her role, she kept a distance from the actor playing the role of her husband (Vasant) and Surekha Sikhri (Dadisa), so as to show the distances in between them in the serial.

Tellychakkar.com's New Talent Awards were presented at a bigger and better level this year. And the awards were held on Saturday evening (13 June) at a premier five star hotel in Mumbai.

Well, firstly i must mention that I myself missed the first ten minutes due to these (annoying, silly, necessary, whatever you wanna call them) power cuts……

The first act of performance was by Neha Marda looking absolutely amazingly beautiful in red dress, on the title song of movie 'Aaja Nach Le'…….

Then we see the dynamic duo of hosts Ejaz Khan and Swapnil Joshi and also not to be forgotten cute and special appearances by the little dynamite Saloni (Chhote Miyan fame).

The first set of awards were given away by Pooja Bedi and Hanif, for

Best New Actor – Negative Role (Male) – nominations were:

And the winner of the negative role was Jai kalra for playing Rishab Rampal in KDMHMD.

Best New Actor – Negative Role (Female) – nominations were:

And this award was won by Rasika Joshi for her role as Tarulata bua in Bandini.

Best New Supporting Actor (Male) – nominations were:

This awards was won by Aditya Lakhia as Nanku in AJMBHK.

Best New Supporting Actor (Female) – nominations were:

And this was won by the sweet and bubli Vibha as Sugna in Balika Vadhu.

Then we saw a comic act by all three host Ejaz, Swapnil and little Saloni on the them of movie dostana…….making way for a dazzling performance by Duggu (Bharat Chawda) and Kadambari (Prerna W)…..after which there was a funny performance of Duggu with Maulik (Shardul) as dostana couple and Santu (Asiya Qazi) as their mother on the song ' Maa da Ladla' from the movie 'Dostana'………hehehe!!!

After this the next category awards were given and to present them on stage were called Rajshri Thakur and Jatin -

Best New Anchor (Male) – nominations were:

And this award was taken away by farhan Akhtar for 'Oye its Friday'.

Best New Anchor (Female) – nominations were:

And the winner of this category was Shilpa Shetty for hosting Big Boss 2.

Next, set of awards was presented by Ashwini (Laado fame) and Meghna mallik for -

Best New Child Actor – nominations were:

And you must have guessed it, this set of talent awards for child artist (Male and Female) were won by the cutest on-screen kids, or should I say couple, Avika Gaur and Avinash Mukherjee resp. for their portrayal of 'Anandi and Jagdish' in famous Balika Vadhu.

Then again, a syrupy act by the hosts taking as theme the show 'Rakhi ka Syanmwar'……….leading way to……

….to the romantic, sizzling performance by PREET aka Sushant Shingh ( PR and Kis desh….fame) with Abigail Jain on the song 'Bol Halke Halke' form the movie 'Jhoom barabar Jhoom' (Sushant looked an absolute sweetheart in his green colored sherwani……WOW!!!); with them also performed Vikrant (Shyam from BV) and Sriti Jain (Suhani from SnS) on the song 'Khuda Jaane' from 'Bachana aye Hasseno'

Then, to give away the next set of the awards, Sharad and Kirti Kelkar were called on stage, which were –

Most promising show of the year: (Fiction) – nominations were:

And this was won by yet again, Balika Vadhu (BV);

Most promising show of the year: (Non-Fiction) – nominations were:

And this was won by, my personal favourite, Dance India Dance.

Best New On Screen Couple – nominations were:

WOW!!! this was won by again my personal Favouriteeeee!! Arjun and Arohi (ArJuhi), thts Karan Kundra and Kritika Kamra from Kitani Mohabbat hai ( Gosh so many K's……..) and this and the next award was presented by two people from ING Vaysaya….

After this, Mr. Anil Wanvari coming onstage raised attention on the very serious issue of Old Age people exiled by their families and targeted by goons, with the sweet and touchy convo between Nana and Mungi (Bandini fame) and then dealinh with the same through a song performance from Avika and Avinash (from BV), they looked ohhhhh sooo cute!!!!! in their piece similar to tht song 'Pyaar hua Ikraar Hua' from movie 'Awaara' and "Dance pe Chance mar Le" from 'RMBDJ' on which they performed and Anang Desai and Lily Patel as their grandies were also fab.

Then, the next set of awards were of -

Best New TV Personality (Male): Chang for Indian Idol

Best New TV Personality (Female): Saumya for DID

Best Television Style Icon of the year (Male): WOW!! 'coz again its my fav Karan Kundra who won this award.

Best Television Style Icon of the year (Female): and this was won by Avika Gaur.

Subsequently, we witnessed a delightful performance by actors Bharat Chawda, Himanshu Malhotra and Neil Bhatt……………..leading us to the next award of -

Best New Comic Actor – nominations were:

And this I'm sure everyone would agree on the winners name, it was Disha Vakhani for her extraordinary portrayal of "Daya" in "Tarak Mehta ka Ultah Chasma".

Then, it was yet again a sweet act of Saloni as Rakhi from Karan (Swapnil) Arjun (Ejaz). Followed by a scorching performance by Ashita Gulabani and Saillesh Dhawan, which got us to the final set of awards of -

And the award for new Actor male was won by Avinash Sachdev for Choti Bahu.

Best New Actor (Female) – nominations were:

And this was won by Hina Khan, who plays Akshara in 'Yeh Rishta kya Kehlata Hai'

Finally, the whole group of performers came back on stage along wioth the New comers the 'Kal ke talent' from of the Disney show Kya Mast Hai Life (Shweta, Shaheer, Ashish and Sana)….
