Fans tore down my dress!- says Balika Vadhu Star Ghena

Neha Marda aka Gehna of Sphere Origins Balika Vadhu is scared of traveling alone. She makes it a point that whenever she is out she has her bodyguards around. Neha had a frightening experience while traveling alone.

"Sometime back I had gone to Kolkata for some opening ceremony. At the airport a bunch of fans approached me. I was wearing a dress which was tied from behind. The whole place got so crowded and in the rush the dress got untied unintentionally by someone's hand. That incidence terrified me so much that now whenever I go out for any event I always have 3-4 bouncers with me," she says.

Umm…Neha we never realized you were that popular to begin with, to be mobbed so randomly in such far-off places. Anyhow, watch out next time darling, why spend on Bouncers, when you can travel incognito? Start spending on Burkha dear, that what stars do when they REALLY don't want to be seen, you know what we mean

"Aap Ki Kachehri which had a very successful run in the first season at the 10.30 PM slot had to go for a time change as Star Plus has come up with Sach Ka Saamna at the same time slot. Having recreated history at the prime time fiction band of 10.30 PM with Aap Ki Kachehri, the channel has now decided to put Kiran Bedi's show as a counter to the successful COLORS show Balika Vadhu, which also airs at 8 PM", adds our source.

Plot: The show deals with the sensitive issue of child marriage and supports widow re-marriage. The backdrop is rural Rajasthan, where child marriage is still widely practised. In the show, the victims of this ritual are Anandi (Avika Gor) and Jagdish (Avinash Mukherjee) who get married at a very young age. Jagdish is the only grandson of Kalyani Devi (Surekha Sikri), who follows all the rituals and superstitions strictly.

Anandi to tie rakhi to Shyam

Vikrant Massey aka Shyam of the production house Sphere Origin is eagerly waiting for Raksha Bandhan.

"My mother is a Hindu, so we celebrate rakhi every year. I don't have a real sister but my cousin ties me rakhi. But unfortunately this year she will not be here with me," says Vikrant.

But if you are thinking Vikrant would be left alone on this auspicious occasion, you are mistaken. There is someone to make up for her sister's absence; and she is none other than Avika Gor (Anandi). "Avika is like a younger sister to me and she would be tying me a rakhi on this auspicious day," says Vikrant excitedly.

Now that is something sweet. We hope this new brother-sister jodi have a good time off the sets too.

Chaitanya Chaudhry on Avika Gor: "I don't get much time to watch TV but I have seen Balika Vadhu a couple of times and I liked Avika's performance. She has got immense talent and I think she will go a long way."

Gaurav Chopra: "It's become a trend to spot new kids with something special in them. I'm not picking anyone but I do know that they shouldn't get carried away with their success. They should maintain a balance. For instance, there are Avika and Ratan who are doing well and I wish them luck for the future."

When Vikrant Massey started working in the show, he never dreamt that his character would become so popular. He was sceptical, unsure and also nervous about getting a firm foothold in the industry with this character. But, it is a completely different picture today. Not only is he much more confident about himself, he is also (in his own words) one of the happiest guys on earth!

"I must admit that I never expected my character to be so popular. When I was first offered this role, Balika Vadhu was already the number one show. To get an entry there was like a dream come true. I was very nervous and used to tell myself if the makers of this show have selected me that means there is something in me. But I continued to have butterflies in my stomach before shoots. It has been close to three months and I have been getting a lot of positive feedback from all viewers of the show. So, I am a bit more confident now," says a frank Vikrant."It has been a fantastic learning experience for me working with experienced actors in the show," says the actor.

Of late there have been rumours on his character taking a sudden turn and developing villainous traits. Is it true? Vikrant rubbishes all such rumours and says, "I am not sure who is spreading such rumours, but let me assure you that there will not be any changes to my character. I will be the same Shyam that all of you like today." But he also accepts that roles are subject to change based on audience reaction."Nothing like that is planned for my character though," concludes Vikrant.
