What do you think was the emotion that Dv felt, when he 1st laid eyes on Amoli?
Was it plain lust or was it love?

no i don't think so dv love for first sight because in the begining he said to his friend i don't know this girl what kind of magic did at me , when i am fade up from her this marriage no more meaning for me so in the begining he thought he can get everything which he wants so in my opinion it was Covetousness but i don't think its love

I think DV is such a complex character that it is so hard to tell. Initially it was lust cuz she was all wet and he felt something for her with the hand touch. I think it was when he looked deep into her eyes when she sent Suman (I think Oct. 8) over he was angry with her. She was apologizing and both had an intense eye lock. I think that is when he fell in love with her??? Loved every minute of the roller coaster ride BP has been. Damn Colors again. Sorry for my language but it does get us mad just the thought of it not there anymore.

I feel that initially it was lust that DV felt for Amoli when he saw her all wet, and that's why he was so persistent on the fact that he wanted to sleep with her for just one night & kept trying in many different ways & used many difft. tricks to do so. But later he started falling in love with her for the courage to boldly say NO to him which no other girl had the courage to show him till then. And it's exactly from that moment of realization onwards that he started feeling love for her.

hello...showing my face here after ages....

About DV's feelings......hmm i think it was purely Lust....he looked at women as objects or his play things...which he can acquire whenever or wherever he liked without ever hearing No for an answer....the first time he sees Amoli....all he can think about is her beautiful face and her virginal body......nothing else....purely lust......which then turned into a battle for power for him.....how dare that chit defy him......THE MALIK...then obsession and then the night before Chandanas wedding he realized how much deeper his feelings ran for her...he couldnt deal with the prospect of loosing her....so it was a very slow progression from Lust to Obsession/twisted Love.

A hearty welcome Sinistera!
Encouraged by your flying visits here Im going to deduce that you, like the rest of us here would like to see BP back on air too. At the risk of sounding too forward, may i please request you to join us in our many ventures in whatever capacity you deem fit. Even a little help will go a long way.

As for the topic under discussion.....
I do agree with you for the most part. She was nothing but the object of his desire to start with. Fueled by her constant rejection it turns into a frenzied hankering....
As to when it turns to love....i think it was even later than Chandana's wedding.
The realization or 'revelation' of being in love hits him as she walks out of her biological mother's house clad in white. He aches for her, understanding her pain, he find a tear in his eye...a new emotion, sensation....thus begins the painful process of change.
Atleast I'd like to think so :)

while I do agree with most of you that it may have been lust at the first moment, there is an other aspect that I am forced to consider due to the X factor "Amoli". She is the real factor... Because of the "Rawness" of her... something that brings out every supressed emotion of DV....like one animal answering the other's call...

And what he tells Vinod...I thought it ws denial at it's highest....but could be true too...

As he tells amoli, he may have forgotten her after a night.....but her denial put her on his mind and firmly kept it there...the drive after the first wave of lust was to break her will power - "icha shakthi" .....then it was to posess....In between all this, his emotions get involved due to her bringing out that part of him that he hides the most.

Amoli is the one person who can take his good and his bad...and give back in equal measure...and that interests him and keeps him involved.....

I think it was Love but DV was not able to understand what exactly he was feeling for Amoli
