"patibratha patni" means dutifully loyal wife

Yeah - her attachment to Radhe was combo of duty+rebellion against Thakur. Also, she championed him because she is strong and thus fell for his weak nature. He was truly the complete opposite of Thakur too. A perfect foil - His innocence v. DV ka deviousness. Radhe's effiminate nature v. DV ka masculinity, etc.

Hi all,

I am katija and I just started watching BP and got hooked since the protagonist, SK plays so well the character of DV, he is so devilish yet so honest and attaching. Honestly, BP is nothing without DV.

As for Amoli, I can't clearly identify her character since I cannot really feel the deep love she has/had for Radhe and she is also so versatile.

welcome to the forum Katija....SK as the Devil (DV) is amazing...would love to hear ur opinions on the Devil as well😆
about Amoli's love for radhey......it was a confused feeling i think... there are so many reasons for her to feel that "LOVE" ....i think she had such delusions about grandiose love she never realized that if the person opposite her is really worth thta much effort.......do u know what i mean....i believe she was in love with the idea of being in love....and then he was her pati, so all indian or desi women are expected to love their husbands blindly....then he was sort of that sheild type thing that allowed her to develop into such a strong person who could defy the Devil and his challenging ways.....i dont think she was in TRUE ALL CONSUMING LOVE with radhey but rather, she values and thinks its love because she has discovered herself through that relationship. does that make any sense??

I agree with u guys..girls were conditioned to love their husbands...Amoli is in love with the idea of being in love with Radhe. She hated DV's guts..so her so called love for radhe was caused by her hatred of DV..there was no chemistry..

but with DV..it's explosive😳

@Sin..DV was so devilish..but u can't help but love him..normally I would hate a character who kills someone innocent..but here..the magic of DV is making me care for a Devil

14th July was my first BP, Amoli was leaving DV that day, yaar felt so sad for DV and Amoli seems so cold, aloof and heartless 😭 .

Then I started watching BP from the beginning to understand why Amoli was behaving like such. Wow was shocked when I saw the behavior of DV towards the villagers, Khamodi, Amoli , Radhe, his wife, etc. Wow.....how could someone be so ruthless yet so attaching and could not bring myself to hate this kind of character, coz I realize that he is very honest and matter-of-fact about everything, As for Amoli, can't bring myself to say that she understands what is love. Catch you up after watching today's episode.
