I hope they get Akki back to uncover Shubhu's role. We have always seen Akki defending his sister Priya. I would love to see Akki give back to his wife's killers with same intensity (not Priya, real killers, Akki must have Shivi's phone).. Also I wonder what happened to the joint business venture of Shubhu and Akki.

I haven't watched Balh S1 and so there is no comparison between both seasons in my head, but my only problem is character inconsistency. It is frustrating to watch a 40 something man getting manipulated by his family and not using his own common sense. Especially when Ram was shown to have good sense of intuition at judging people's intentions and feelings. Heck, Ram just guessed right away that Krish was Priya's crush 🤣 But, now, after so much water has flowed under the bridge, his common sense/intuition is surprisingly silent. And, is he noticing the similarities between Pihu and him, Pihu and Priya? Ram ka pata nahi, but his manipulative step-mom might already have.

My only problem is why do the makers have to make Ram dumb in order to take the story forward? And most importantly, how did Ram become a successful businessman like this?

I haven’t watched BALH1 but have seen few scenes and read the story online. The characters were intact from whatever I could gather. I watched only the first few episodes of BALH2, till the engagement and then switched over to on air episodes (after the consummation). From the beginning Ram had a blind spot for this step family. He is too selfless, doesn’t expect anything in return from them and feels hurt every time he is disregard but doesn’t say a word. In episode 2 where Shivi was getting engaged to Sid she mentioned everyone but not Ram who did so much for her. The only thought he had was that his stepmom loved him after his mother passed away and he should always keep her and his step siblings above himself. He chose to overlook their faults and their mistakes and not just shut his eyes but his brain too. He might be a businessman of sharp intellect but where it concerns his family or should I say step family he has always been a brainless idiot.

I hope Akki has become a successful actor and he can now bajao the Kapoors. Ram wronged him by taking away his right to perform Shivi’s final rites. I really hope when the truth is out, Priya doesn’t go back to Ram easily. Of course she needs to pay for her mistake but her whole family suffered coz of Ram’s. Her father and BIL were never truly a part of their family. But yet coz of them every time Priya was put to test. What had Sara, MM, Akki, Sandy or Mythri done to them? MS had broken up with MM and Varun never had any relationship with Sara to be honest. MM made a mistake by not exposing MS but she was shielding him to shield Varun who meant the world to her grandson. Her head was never in the right place but her heart certainly was. Ram needs to understand that not only did he lose a sister but Akki lost his wife. He needs to understand that coz of his family manipulations his wife kept him away from his own child and suffer all this while.

Yes, Ram always had a blind spot for his family, but he was also aware that it is not their love but ehsaan. He was aware of the fact that his step family was using him in a way, and he had accepted that because he had promised his father that he will always take care of his step-mom and half-siblings. He expressed how he felt about his family to Priya when he got high on a medicine dose on the night before Diwali. With Priya, he found true family/love for the first time. What I cannot understand is, where is that awareness about his family gone now? And Ram was always intuitive when it came to understanding Priya. Somehow, that intuition is also missing.

This reminds of a parallel scene when Ram and Priya were locked in bathroom in Adi-Brida's house.

The trouble with Ram is he never saw beyond their manipulation. Yes he thinks they did have a favour but he does not want to gauge what they are capable of. That is why Nandu was able to manipulate him for this long. Even with Priya he never believed her when she said that lie but Nandu managed to brainwash him. When your mother tells you your wife is saying the truth, why will he not believe her? Given he was not in a position to think straight?

Yes, the one where faucet went off. There was a misunderstanding regarding annulment papers. Their arguement here so similar to the one in that scene 😆

But I am guessing there is a role reversal 😆
