“No!” she yelled shaking her head vigorously, “of course, Priya’s famous ‘NO’” he said smiling sarcastically, “I don’t not remember saying yes and asking me when I am sleep does not COUNT!” she said shooting daggers at him through her eyes, “Yaar, try toh kar sakthi ho, haina” he said trembling under her death glare. “No chance!” she said throwing her hands up, “You said the same thing about our marriage, and look where we are now, Mrs. Priya Ram Kapoor...” she said smirking, she groaned, “Kyu? I can’t Mr. Kapoor, I can’t” she said her tone decreasing, he frowned and then took a deep breath, “ZNMD?” he said, she looked at him, her eyebrows furrowed, “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, the trio who go to spain... leave it, we’ll watch that later” he said, “Okay I’ll watch that, but I can’t do this, you really expect me to go for SCUBA DIVING?” she said, “Priya calm down, the only way to overcome your fear is by facing it, and what better way that this?” he said, “Mr. Kapoor, it’s not about that, I don’t fear it... It just brings up bad memories...” she said softly, Ram cupped her face, stroking her cheeks gently, “Priya yaad hai tumne kaha, kis uss kachori se sirf ek hi baad yaad rahegi, ki peheli baar kisine valentine’s day par tumhari kushi ke liye kuch kiya...?” he asked, she nodded, “I want to do the same again, I wanna make sure you enjoy every bit this world has to offer, I know it’s difficult, but I wanna change all our bad memories to a good one, so, I will ask this again, will you do this, Scuba Diving with me?” he said, she gave a small smile, “Okay... but if something happens na...” he cut her “Don’t worry, you can kill me later” he said joking, she just shook her head. “Priya... I’ll be there, there will be two instructors, so you are safe, and if you feel any kind of discomfort, you can back out. But just give it a shot once... hmm” she took a deep breath and replied, “Okay, I trust you.” He smiled widely. Ram happily goes and books them a time. ‘Try new things, it’s okay, he is there. If it makes him happy, I will. Maybe I can like it?’ she thought to herself. “I have to wear this? It looks so tight.” she said holding her swim suit. “Yeah, u can wear something loose and the fishes can get inside” he joked, “No no... I’ll wear this.” She said quickly brushing off the thoughts of fishes inside her clothes.

They changed their dress, Ram was awestruck looking at her, he couldn’t take his eyes of her, “Why are you staring at me?” she asked squinting her eyes, “no.. um... nothing, you look good” he said, she smiled, “Okay... I can do this! Let’s do this” she said taking a deep breath. “Hi I’m Leah, and I will your Instructor Mam. You don’t have to be afraid, I have experience in this for quite a long time, if needed 8 years. And I also have a certificate.” She said, she looked genuine. “Ok” Priya said with a smile. They took them to a shallow area first, teaching them to use the mouth piece and how to adjust it if needed underwater, then they were taught the basic sign language for emergency. And then, they were now taken a bit far inside, Priya was trembling a bit but seeing Ram excited for it calmed her down. The instructor made sure she was okay throughout it. Ram gave her his signature grin and went it with his instructor, she took a deep breath, signaled she was ready. She dived in, and the view inside made her forget everything, all her fears, her bad memories, it was all replaced by the beauty that lied inside the sea, the aquatic life, the small fishes swimming together, the small kale and weeds, along with few coloured corals. She then spotted her husband who was waving at her, she waved back moving closer to him. The instructor let the couple hold hands and Ram had asked them to take pics, which they did.Priya caught a tiny fish between are hands, and she showed it to Ram who gave her a nod. They were 35 feet deep, and Priya had seem to adjust with the water comfortably. She enjoyed every bit of it, with Ram side by side, they were awestruck by the captivating sea life. And then came the most adventurous part, the remainings of ship wrecks. The broken wooden planks, the rusted iron railings, the bits and pieces of parts, Ram and Priya were amazed, the ship was half sunken deep into the sand, the other ship was too deep inside which they weren’t allowed to go. The sun shone brightly making the sea shimmer, and the inside, it glowed, she found a small oyster, that was shut, but it looked so pretty, while Ram was busy looking at the fishes and trying to touch them, Priya shook her head looking at his antics. Soon, their time got over and they had to come up. The instructors slowly pulled them up and to the boat. Ram and Priya took few minutes to adjust to their breathing. They reached the land, and went to change their dresses. They came out, thanked the instructors for the wonderful time they had and left happily to eat as they were hungry.

“It’s a beautiful restaurant and I love this” Priya said munching her panini, Ram smiled, “So? Did you enjoy?” he asked, her eyes shone immediately, “Thank you! I would have never got this incredible experience if not for you. And, I ... I am so lucky, Mr. Kapoor, you have given me the sunshine, a ray of hope, warmth, this weird feeling I have, but whatever it is, it makes me happy.” She said innocently, Ram’s heart melted, he scooted next to her and put his arm around her should, giving her a side hug. “Priya, you gave a reason to live for, my monotonous life became vibrant the moment you entered, you give me a new challenge every day, and there is no one... no one, who could make me feel the way I do like you. You are an enigma, Mrs. Kapoor but mine, that I would like to discover everyday to come by.” And that is when she realized that she loves him, he is hers and only hers, with that thought a small fear built in her mind, but she chose love ignoring the fear. She also had the same fear of rejection as he did, so she decided to keep quiet for now and just enjoy their budding relationship. “Come on, let’s finish this, and then we’ll take a walk, and then go to our room.” He said taking up another bite of the Lasagna. Priya chuckled and ate her food. They had taken a flight to Sicily early in the morning and has booked a resort for a stay of 2 days. Ram payed for the bill and they soon headed out, hand in hand, walking the streets, where he found a flower shop, “No, Mr. Kapoor, don’t buy lilies now, there is no one you could give it to anyway.” She taunted, he chuckled and asked her to go forward while he’ll join her. She protested but he convinced her to do so. Later he joined her, she turned to look at him. He gave a single rose, it was big and lush, the petals softly curled around, and the colour was a mix between pink and red. “Why should I buy lilies, when I could give you the rose of my heart” he said in the most flirtatious tone, the one Priya liked but pretended to roll her eyes, “It’s pretty” she said touching the petals, “Like the lady herself” he winked at her, she was now used to flirty comments, but it still gave her the butterflies in the stomach feeling every time he did, and she liked it but she wouldn’t admit it, at least not yet.

“Hi Jaan!!! How’s everything going on?” an overexcited Bri asked, Ram chuckled “Very good” Priya was in the washroom freshening up, “Bri, yaar, I don’t know what to say, we have come to that point, I know she feels for me too, she reciprocates my feelings, I don’t know about love, but I do now, maybe it’s time mei apni dil ki baath bol doon” he said softly, Bri squealed in happiness, “Don’t shout now, she in the washroom, she can hear.” Bri smiled sheepishly, “Okay okay, I am just so excited, do you want ideas on how to?” she asked, “No... your ideas are way too dramatic than mine. Besides, I already have an idea.” He said, Brinda looked at him proudly, “I can’t believe my boy’s all grown up.” She said which made him roll his eyes in a playful manner, “On a serious note, Ram, I am so happy for you. We all are” she said her eyes twinkling, he gave her a smile, “Me too. I love you all” he replied. “By the way... you alright? You look tired and sick?” he asked, “what? No... I am fine, I went shopping today, so, maybe because of that.” She said quickly, making Ram doubt but he didn’t want to push her. “Okay, you take rest, even I will, it has been an long day, an amazing one but tiring” Bri smiled and cut the call. “hey... everything alright?” Priya asked coming out, “You were right, something is up with Bri, but she is not saying” he replied, “Maybe she needs time, she will definitely tell you, let’s not push her” she said, he gave her a small smile and nodded his head. She came sat next to him resting her head on the bedrest, he held her hand, they just sat there in silence for a few minutes. “I would like to do it again, some other day” she said, he raised his eyebrows, “scuba diving... it was nice, no, more than nice, it was incredible. There is so much to life under sea. Mother nature is just phenomenal” she said, “I agree.” He said slowly. “Also, you said you’d watch the movie with me, let’s watch.” He said excitedly, “Okay.” She said chuckling. He jumped out of his bed, and took out his laptop. They were watching the movie and soon they fell asleep, Priya resting her head on his shoulder, and he rested his on top of her head.

The following morning Priya got up early to find her husband sleeping peacefully next to her, his hands protectively circled her waist, holding her closer. She caressed his face, tracing his details, she mesmerized how handsome he was, she then pushed back the hair that was falling on his face, while she made a small groan, “Priyaa... sone do na” he mumbled, she let out a small chuckle, and moved on to his beard, his prickly yet soft beard. ‘How did I get so lucky? Oh god! I love him. I really do. I can’t believe I do. And I don’t want to stop myself. But how will he react, I know he likes me too, but... should I say?’ she was in her deep thoughts which were broken by Ram’s stare, she was startled by it, “Mr. Kapoor! Why are you staring at me like that? You scared me” she said, he laughed, “You were the one who woke me up, you were admiring my face, how could I sleep then” he said, she closed her eyes embarrassed, “I was not admiring, I was just...” she trailed off, “was?” he asked laughing. “You keep making fun of me” she huffed. “Jab tum tamatar ki tarah laal hothi ho na, tab tum bohut cute lagthi ho” he said, she rolled her eyes, getting up. “Nooo... I wanna stay in bed for some more time” he said, “Mr. Kapoor, we have one more day here, let’s go somewhere” she said, “ugh... okay fine” he said, she smiled widely, and rushed to the washroom.

They were at the valley of temples, Valle dei Templi, where stood old structures that were built ages ago. They were standing before the temple of Hera Lacinia, the remains were pillars lined up, each had a different engraving, a different story to tell, few were connected by a ceiling that had worn out paintings, the colour faded, but the drawings were visible. The tiles were made of marbles and each step seemed to be steep. Priya loved history, she found these structures informative and magnificent. And Ram enjoyed it too, but he enjoyed watching Priya’s amazed face even more, she went around touching the engravings, the sculptures, the pillars that had words. “Can you believe these were made in the BCs, how advanced they were to think of making this, it is unfortunate that wars, earthquakes and fire damaged them, but still they look so spectacular.” She said, “Just because something is not perfect, doesn’t mean it’s not worthy of love” he said, she narrowed hr eyes, “hmm?” Ram smiled, “I’m just saying.” He said. Priya went back to climbing those big steps, but she slipped lightly, Ram rushed to her, “Are you fine? You should be careful Priya!” he yelled, “Mr. Kapoor calm down, I am totally fine, there are no scratched also, and I am careful. Don’t worry, nothing will happen to me as long you are here” she said smiling and went back to climbing, “I love you Priya” he whispered, “did you call me?” she asked who was quite far now, “Yeah, slow down, I am coming” he said walking to her, “No, you come fast, and look at this view, it’s...” before she could complete, “breathtaking!” he finished her sentence, entwining his fingers with hers, looking at the sight in front of them.
