Absolutely agree. I'm getting married this month and I'm 30 years old😆

But I behave like a kid. That's a different thing. Isn't it🤣

Agree 32 is not at all old in todays age. Lotsa people marry in early 30s. If Priya was late 30s and then she said why shud I feel excited like a 22 yr old it makes sense.

The way Nandini was explaning to her brother abt Priya makes me laugh i mean Ram is not 25 yrs old,he is 38 yrs old & Priya is 32 yrs old. They are just in their perfect age for marriage

Its 2021 century but mindset are still regressive of certain section of people when it comes to women

If a family is looking for a girl for their son, no one wants a girl who's 30 or plus, irrespective of the fact that their son may be over 30. Same goes for guys. If parents are looking for a guy for their daughter, they don't typically want someone who's over 32 or so. 38 is as good as 40 and the number doesn’t go with people's definition of youth.

All the progressiveness and modernism comes into play when people choose their own partners. In that scenario, age doesn't matter as much because the people who're getting married have made their choices and there's nothing much people can say or do about it.

This.

Totally agree with you 👍👍

Completely agree with this- while a lot of urban households are accepting later marriages, a large portion of the Indian population still believes in getting married early.

While I think 22 is quiet young these days- girls itself want to work a bit or study more- I can comfortably say that the average has shifted to around 24-25 for woman. I think it is a bit higher for men. But the pressure starts mounting for men too around 33-35. I have an unmarried friend around 38 years old, and apparently he is almost deemed unmarriageable by the arranged marriage market at this point 😆 ( he is chill, so it's ok)

A lot of Indian families still feet that women should have their first child by 30 to avoid medical complications(completely bogus, but widely prevalent unfortunately)

Agree with this but @bold is true actually. Complications do start to arise when women cross a certain age (32-33).. reproductive health is best in the 20s.. But nowadays due to our change in lifestyle, society getting modern, people prioritizing career over marriage, it has become common to get married around 30 years of age. Its not that big an issue, nevertheless.

32 and 38 is definitely not old to get married. This is again showing regressive thoughts of EK and her writers. Poor writers, they might have so many restrictions to write this drama

Agreed there are some complications- but many people sort of think of 30s like a ticking timebomb 😆 It's like if the girl crosses 30, she is done for and going to have a horrible pregnancy where the child may or maynot survive.

From what I have seen, it is a mixed bag- there are lot of women who have normal pregnancies after 30, and I have seen a few ladies below 30 who have complications 🤷‍♀️

@bold- True that. Majority of our society is still stuck with this mentality

Agree its a mixed bag. Actually it depends from person to person.. also 30 is still a young age. Mainly complications arise after age of 40..
