Haha.. although I love this role reversal in this show.. an angry FL and a chirpy ML 😆but yeah I know.. it seems hard to believe that how he is such a big businessman but still such a kid. But then, I don't mind this as much solely for the fact that it is refreshing to see such characters on ITV where we generally have immature bubbly kid-like FLs whom we find cute and serious/arrogant MLs. I mean Nakuul's previous character of Shivaay Singh Oberoi was exactly cliche like that.😪..So I don't really mind it . Still, I agree they need to tone down his child-like antics a tad bit 🤏

Exactly!! His love for food can be shown in different ways. Doesn't mean he has to eat something all the time him wanting food in the restaurant despite the situation was good. I can kinda connect to it. Lekin har waqt khate rehna baat karte time bhi, it meh. Also his popping pills all the time. I am like okay we know he obsessed with medicines, abb aage badho😵 S1 Ram was shown much more subtly. He too was a complete foodie and took a lot of tablets. Though even there he used to order hell lot of food which was ott but still I could connect to him and would actually call him a foodie.

@bold- This!!

You know I don't mind him being child like or patient towards people. But the thing is he just doesn't ooze the aura of a uber rich super successful businessman. I don't mean he should be arrogant and be angry at people all the time. But his mannerisms just don't come across as someone who is a successful businessman. S1 Ram had that. I don't want to compare but can't stop myself. Though even he was quite a child at heart but he had a different confident aura.

In his office and in meetings they can show S2 as someone who is serious, confident, firm etc which will actually make him seem like a businessman.

His constant eating gives me hunger pangs even if I have just had food 😆

I agree. Even though I haven't seen S1 much but just some epis here and there, Ram Kapoor was much more believable as a businessman over there. It had subtlety which is clearly lacking in S2.

But then, this Ram has been shown to be very different from S1 Ram. I love this Ram because he is so different from conventional heroes of tv. Like you said, what writers need to do is find the perfect balance. A character can be goofy, fun, cute and still grounded and mature when he wants. We actually saw glimpses of his commanding presence in the show.. in the promo where they introduced Ram (miliye Ram Kapoor se), his entry and walk was confident and assertive. We also saw another glimpse when Ram went to the gym in search of Shivina. The way he walked into the gym and demanded entry just bespoke of his great persona. Also in yesterday's epi when he told the producer that Akshay will not be removed from the film, his command had a weight. But thing is that such scenes are very rare in the show. Also what lacks is a good bg score for Ram.. it's always the soft dhere naaa.. or the KHNH tune which gives the vibes of a bechara and dukhela aadmi.. the makers need to show more scenes of him being a shrewd businessman (come on, you can't be this big a businessman if you aren't shrewd) , getting work done, having a certain command over people working for him , backed by a nice powerful BG score. That would help in improving the aura around him I believe.

I guess many got wrong on those traits of Ram,these are some bad habits of Ram that Priya will correct him after marriage and even his medicines & and she will teach him the healthy way of living life.

The problem be it family or friends noone has correct him & taught him healthy way of living life & the healthy habits even when he is taking medicines noone stops him and tells him its wrong it might harm ur health in ur old age, they just agree with him

This is where a wife comes in and corrects her husband's habits and teaches him the right way & this is where the wife rights comes into their relatiomship. What is a arrange marriage w/o knowimg each other habits & flaws & corrects them together, you teach me your habits & i teach my habits & together we walk a journey of 7 lifetimes

The beginning has already started in PriRa date where Priya shares her healthy upma with Ram & he taste it & loves it

Thats what an arrange marriage means knowing the person after marriage and change him/her in the right way & path

What many finds distractions are unhealthy habits of Ram which he will change after marriage which is his unhealthy eating habits & medicines and teaching each other thats where love grows

okay i'm so glad i wasn't the only one who felt that. I was actually wondering how Ram manages his huge business..like does he keep eating during important meetings too? this is such an unprofessional behaviour

I completely agree. They should tone down these a bit. Rams eating food popping pills/! And Priyas angry bird avtar! I am hoping it will tone down after Ram and Priya start meeting each other. Then they would have been so engrossed in themselves that they will forget these character traits!

Agree with all your points. I actually love this softie Ram. In an era of serious brooding characters he is refreshing change. But makers need to understand he doesn't have to be like that all the time. A person behaves in different ways in different situations. And he definitely can't be this soft if he is such a successful businessman. It needs a certain shrewdness and smartness however much one may be kind. They could have shown him being smart despite him being calm all the time. Some scenes in office also instead of showing him eating all the time.

And We definitely need an impactful bg score for Ram😆 that would add so much more charm to his personality.

@bold- Yup!! These scenes did show a commanding Ram but as you said these scenes are so less. We need some scenes which give more insight into his character. The problem is they have too many characters and running too fast with the story that they are not giving proper insight into any character not even the leads. They are just over emphasizing on certain traits like Priya being negative about life and Ram eating food and pills all the time. They need to give them some scenes which tell us more about their nature. We still don't know so many things, how is Nandini, why did she suddenly go for rishta etc etc

Yes, exactly. Thing is that makers have made him quite one dimensional..

And yes they are rushing scenes and tracks . I think this can be easily solved if they remove some of the crowd from the show.. with so many characters all at once, it is becoming hard for the makers to handle all of them..which is resulting in a chaotic situation. I hope they address these issues ASAP...

rather than him being a foodie, I have been wondering if ram is hypoglycemic. just the way it is portrayed, that what it makes me think of. hahahah....

so this condition is the opposite of diabetes where your insulin levels are high. with hypoglycemia, you have low blood sugar. there was a guy in my uni who had this problem. so before classes started, his family actually met with the professors and explained his condition. so when classes began, the professor actually announced that only this boy had special permission to eat during class. basically he had to eat very often and so would bring biscuits, fruits, sandwiches etc to munch on during the lectures. from my vague memory, he told me that his doctor had recommended him nibbling at least something every 2 hours or so. he got it quite young and so he and his family had totally gotten used to a certain system and knew what worked and when his blood sugar level would drop. he always had full meals. despite the amount of food he ate, he was very skinny and that was because of the disease.
