Part 3
Ram climbed the stairs as he made his way to his room. Three days has passed from his engagement and he indulged himself in work through out the days to avoid Priya.
Ram entered his room taking off his suit jacket. He stretched himself, and his sore muscles that were stiff after sitting on a chair for almost 5 hours straight looking at files. "Bansi Kaka," he called.
"Can you bring me a glass of water!"
He started to unbutton his shirt. He heard footsteps behind him and assumed it was Bansi Kaka. "Thanks Bansi Kaka, just leave it on the table." He took off his shirt and threw it on the bed. "Ummm," the voice behind him was obviously not Bansi Kaka's. It was a feminine, soft, quiet voice and Ram knew whose it belonged to.
He turned around to stare at Priya, who was holding a glass of water in her hand.
She was wearing an orange shirt that was some what showing her mid-drift and jeans that were hugging her petite body. Ram glanced at her eyes that were directly staring at Ram's chest. She was staring at his six pack of abs that were rippling like his biceps. Than she stared at his smooth jaw and cute lips which curved into a mischievous smile. She quickly turned her head down, as Ram let out a nervous laugh backing up to his drawer.
He noticed his half- naked state and pulled out a white t-shirt. He wore it quickly, "So Priya, when did you arrive?" "In the evening, Masi called me over and we spent time together," she explained not daring to look up. "Masi has set your food on the table," she said turning to leave.
Priya's face was red after seeing Ram. Phew, next time I will knock before entering his room she thought. Ram came downstairs ten minutes later in his white t-shirt and black track pants.
Ram started to eat as Masi and Priya emerged from the kitchen. Masi looked at Ram's tired eyes," What happened Ram, too much work in the office today?"
"Yeah Masi," Ram replied. "I think you need a break, you have been working too hard these days," Masi said concerned. Ram knew what this what lead up to," No Masi I'm fine." "Ram, your red eyes don't look fine to me," she said.
"I'm," Ram began only to be cut off by Masi. "No excuses Ram. Anyways it has been days since your engagement and both of you haven't been spending time together! At this rate, you two won't even get to know each other." She looked at Priya who was standing beside her, "This goes for you too Priya."
"Alright Masi I get your point, I will take a day off tomorrow and I will spend more time with Priya," Ram sighed. "Good," Masi smiled. "I guess this means you will take Priya to the movies tomorrow. It is getting late Ram drop off Priya." Ram and Priya were both surprised by Masi's sneakiness, but Ram saw it coming. "But..." before Ram could protest Masi said bye to Priya and headed to bed. Ram looked at Priya who was smiling.
Ram took the car keys and waited for Priya outside, in the car. As she came and sat down Ram started to drive. Priya saw him yawn a few times and wished he took it easy at work. His messed up hair and stubble looked so cute on him.
Priya turned her head and stared out the window with her chin on her hand. Ram looked at Priya, and decided to break the ice. "So, what movie do you want to see tomorrow" Ram asked softly. "It doesn't matter to me," Priya replied turning her head to face him.
"I don't watch much Bollywood movies that's why I asked you," Ram laughed lightly. Priya smiled, "There's a show at 4 pm for Tanu weds Manu returns." Ram reached her house and pulled to a stop. "Great, I'll pick you up at 3:30 than," he said with a gorgeous smile. Priya opened the door and turned around, "Bye."
"Bye," he said watching her disappear in to the house.
