"are you okay?" she asked "you smell so good Priya, you look beautiful" he said as their eyes met. She looked down as he smiled. His proximity made her feel that she was in her right place, the place where she was destined to reach. She looked up and saw him still looking at her, adoring and worshipping her through his eyes. "shall we go" she asked. he nodded with smile. She had to accept that it was the most charmful smile she has ever seen. Half dazzled she led him in. "this will be the last time, I wouldn't let myself involved with him" she told herself as she guided him into the small restaurant. Ram was looking around the place, he had never been to such a small place before. "Ram, there is a stair, please walking carefully" she said. he looked at her and found she was climbing standing on the stair. He smiled and climbed on the wavy staircase. The place was lit with beautiful colour lights. Yes, it was a small place, but the best Ram had seen till now. "Welcome" she said. he reached the roof top. It must have been quiet late at night, there was no one except the two of them, somehow he liked the fact that there was no one else. Two couches with a table between were arranged here and there. two fireplaces were there to warm the costumers. The place would be perfect for a date, or a place to propose. The moonlight and the lights that adorned the place added more beauty to the place. The breeze was cold. Ram thought that it might rain. "Hello, are you gonna sit?" her voice bought him to the present "sorry I haven't seen place like this before" he said as he sat opposite to her "are you planning to open a restaurant like this?" she asked. he smiled "trust me, this is the first time, I have seen such a beautiful place and never thought of building one like this" he said. she smiled "I come her nearly everyday for my dinner, the taste is awesome" she said. "you come alone?" he asked. "yes" she said slowly. He noticed that they were sitting near the fireplace. He felt a little over heated but he found Priya trying to warm her shivering body, so he decided not to change place.

A beautiful waitress came and stood near them to take their orders. "hi doc, so I see you have someone today here" she said. "Hi Jane, this is Ram, my friend, he has come from abroad, and he wanted to taste the best food so I bought him here" Priya said. "hi sweety" Jane greeted Ram. "hi Jane" Ram replied, his eyes fixed on Priya. He didn't like the company of girls much. "I think your sweating, do you need another place?" Jane asked Ram. "I am fine, no thanks" he said shortly. "Jane bring us what I have daily, but the quantity is for two people" Priya said. Jane nodded "and some coke please" both Ram and Priya said together. Jane smirked "Ok noted". "do you want anything else?" she asked Ram who was still looking at Priya "no, thank you, let me try what Priya ordered" he said. Jane nodded and left. "Ram, I think she is flirting with you" Priya said trying to control her laughter. Ram gave her a stare "yaar, I know that, and this is one of the reasons I don't like coming out" he said. Priya smiled "so handsome hunk ha?" she tease. He chuckled "do you think so?" he asked "kinda" she said. he scratched his temple "your no less Priya, you look stunning" he said "maybe" she said. "you are" he said firmly. "ok, so tell me Ram, what was wrong in the morning?" she asked "nothing some problem in office, we lost a deal" he said "is it big one?" she asked "no no its not, just I haven't lost anything till now" he said "failure and success is a part of lie, you have to face both isn't it?" she said. he nodded "your right" he said. "but you scared me Ram, I was under the thought that you were upset as our date was cancelled" she said. he raised his brow "I mean dinner" she said looking down. He smiled "no,not at all, when I saw you sleeping, I felt so happy, even yesterday I went for a ride, coz I was happy" he said. "so you drive when your happy and sad?" she asked "I guess yes" he said. "next time do this, when your happy or sad, go for a walk in your garden, you will get more peace than you get in driving" she said. he nodded "will try" he said "and will help you reduce some calories too" she added and laughed. "priyaaa" he warned as she laughed out loud. He felt happy seeing her laugh. "acutally you know what Ram, its really funny when I think you go on a ride when your disturbed" she said. he looked away "did you bring me here for teasing me?" he asked a little annoyed. "No, I am sorry, I just told what I felt" she stammered. He leaned forwards towards her "actually, I enjoy this part of you, kinda nice" he said "and one more, you don't need to be sorry for anything" he said smiling. she smiled back at him. a strange silence prevailed, a silence which he enjoyed and a silence which she feared.

it was interrupted by Jane who came with a big tray of fruits, salads, bread and their coke. "here you go" she said and placed everything in front of them. "tell me if you need something" Jane said them looking at Ram. Ram looked at Jane. It was first time he noticed her, he had to accept she was goodlooking. He too a breath "we need Privacy mam" he said gently. Jane smiled "sure" she said and left. He turned to Priya, who was looking open-mouthed at him. "Ram did you just tell her that, I mean she was just trying to get your attention" Priya said. "I know that, and I don't enjoy such things" he said. Priya nodded "ok whatever" she said smiling. the took their food and started eating. "so tell me about your family Ram?" she asked. "mom and dad died in a car accident, and so it leaves only gran and me. But we both always consider Kate as a part of our family, nothing more" he said. "I am sorry about your parents" she said "well, it happened when I was very young, so I don't know them well enough, for me its just gran, Kate" he said "and now you" he added with a smile. She smiled looking down "So tell about you, your parents" he said. "my parents are living in Kerala" she said "You're a Keralite?" he asked "no no, they live there, I don't have siblings, but I really wish I have one big brother" she said "sorry I cant help there offering myself" he said. she smiled "Its okay, I visit them once in three months, the best days" she said. "so whats Kerala like? I have heard so much about it" he said. "well I consider it as tropical beauty, there are so many places you can visit there, the backwaters, beaches..."

both lost track of their time. Priya kept telling about the places he could see in Kerala and Ram was enjoying listening to her, the way she expressed taking his food now and then. "So it's a really nice place for tourism and you should visit it, I am sure you will love it. god how did I forget this, you should see the Athirappilly Waterfall, I am sure you will stand open mouthed, such a" she stopped. Ram who finished his dinner and listening to her, looked at her confused. "I am really sorry, I didn't mean to bore you this way, but it was you who asked me" she said. he smiled "I am really glad I asked" he said. "I had no idea it was so late" she said checking her watch. It was 11:30. "shall we do this again?" he asked. "I mean, I really like this" he said. "I don't want to lead him on" she thought. "Priya" he called. She looked into him "yes we can do it" she said "your eyes, they are amazing, I could paint them, they look so beautiful" he said. she looked down "you paint?" she asked "that's my hobby" he said. "Great, I love music" she said "I know to play instruments, but I prefer painting, you know its kind off just another way to keep a dairy. I don't paint my dreams, I paint my reality" he said "Talented, you are" she said. he smiled "the only time, I feel totally alive is when I paint, and that's the only reason I do it" he said.

"doc, bills ready" Jane called. "she calls like the medical bills are ready" Ram said. "stop it Ram" Priya said smiling. they got up and left to the counter. Priya got the bills and paid them "I said you it was my treat" she said "okay, next time will be mine" he said. she nodded. "see you soon" Jane called to them. Both waved back to her and left. Priya started the car and Ram got into the front seat. "so when are we going again?" he asked "I will let you know when I am free Ram" she said "I hope your free soon" he said "you should pray for that" she said. "so Priya, I would really like to visit Kerala" he said. she looked at him "if you're here the next time I go, then we can go together, Kate also wanted to come" she said. "Wow, wonderful, then I hope that too comes very soon" he said. "so Ram how are you feeling now?" she asked. "Too good, thank you" he said. "I think we are friends, so no need to be formal" she said. "but next time, don't panic everyone" she said. he nodded "one exception, I can torture you na?" he asked. she smiled "anytime" she said.

They reached his house. "did you take a short route?" he asked. she smiled "the same route" she said. he blushed "its just, the time flew away" he said and got down. "Ram tell gran good night from my side" she said. he nodded "I will, waiting for the next dinner" he said. she smiled "sleep well Ram" she said "you too" he said. she turned her car and headed it towards her apartment. Ram stood looking at the way the car left.

It was only seconds she left him and he was missing her already. He wasn't sure whether he was so happy in his life till date. He wanted a drive, he searched his pocket for his keys when he remembered her words "go for a walk instead". Smiling he moved towards the small garden around the house. It was dark except for a few lamps. He felt like he was split open and stuffed with happiness. He was able to feel her presence everywhere near him. a light fear hit him. "what if she don't feel the same" he thought. his life seemed perfect when she was there, but he was afraid of the next moment, because it couldn't possibly be quite as good. That's how he felt. "I will talk to Kate about this soon" he thought. right now he was too happy to be scared of anything or to give a damn for what happened in the morning. His mind was fully occupied with her. "I have chosen my life, and now I wanna live it" he said.

Priya tossed in her bed. she felt happy at the same time sad. She can never lie to herself that she didn't enjoy Ram's company, but she didn't want to get involved either. She knew very well Ram was falling for her, yet she couldn't stop herself from moving with him. this time she had gone out just for his granny but "why the hell did you accept going with him again Priya" her heart threw thousands of questions at her. "just once, it wont change anything" she thought. it was too late and tomorrow was going to be a long day in hospital. Keeping all this away from her mind, she pulled the duvet over her head and closed her eyes. Her phone beeped. She took it

"really enjoyed today, good night beautiful, sleep well" she read his message and smiled. "good night Ram, sleep soon" she replied and sent him.

The next day both the girls didn't have time to talk in the morning, but Kate was dying to hear about the dinner Priya had with Ram. "Kate in the night I will tell you, I promise" she said "Ok, then hope night comes soon" Kate said. she hugged Priya and left for work. After a few minutes Priya left for her work.

As she made her way into the hospital, Cam bumped in with a bunch of flowers. "Hey doc, these are for you" he said "thank you, but whats the occasion?" she asked "actually the love of my life, she accepted my proposal, we are getting married soon" he said smiling. Priya hugged him lightly "I am really happy for you Cammy, do take good care of her" she said "sure, sure, I will, we will make the best couple and we will have dozen of children" he said. Priya smiled "isn't that too much?" she asked "never, and my first kid , if she is a girl will be named Priya" he said. Priya knew that Cam adored her a lot "thanks Cam, you both will make the best pair" she said. he nodded "Ok your patients are waiting for you doc, see you soon" he said and vanished.

She came to her cabin and closed the door "we will get married, we will work together and we will have dozen of kids" his voice rang in her ears as tears streamed down her cheeks. There was a soft knock in the door. She wiped away her tears "come in" she said. a nurse came in "doctor an emergency" she said "I am on the way" Priya said and left with the nurse. She wanted to keep herself busy with her patients, a way to relax herself.
