CHAPTER THREE

Priya lazily opens her eyes around 10 a.m and looks around her surroundings. She remembers that last night she got married, she looks at her injured hands n found them to be cleanly dressed. She wondered who has done that, 'Ram!' she asked herself.

'but after yesterday's incident? May be he has calm down'. She felt happy that Ram has calm down n has forgiven her. With these thoughts, she dialled Ram's number but only to listen harsh words. She yet again upset herself. She takes a quick bath, dresses herself n goes to meet Krishna.

Krishna was sitting in hall reading paper. On seeing Priya, she hugged Priya n greets her.

Priya: sorry ma, i hv woke up late

Krishna: it's ok beta, ye tumhara apna ghar aur tumhe formal hone ki zaroorat nahi

Priya: thanks ma

Krishna: chalo jaldi se breakfast karlo warna tumhari ma kahegi k maine tumhe khana bhi nahi dia

Priya smiles at her words. She, then, settled down on dining table and asked Krishna whether Ram has taken his breakfast.

Krishna: don't worry beta, usne breakfast kiya hai''..usne tum par apna gussa nikala hoga na, I am sorry beta

Priya: no ma, aap sorry mat boliye''. Ram ka gussa hona jayaz hai, koi bhi unki jagah hoga toh wo wahi karega

Krishna wid teary eyes: thank u beta for understanding my son

Priya to make Krishna smile: waise kya banaya hai aaj aap ne apni bahu ke liye

Krishna smiles: uski saari favourite dishes, chalo ab jaldi se khana shuru karo

Priya finishes her breakfast and then Krishna informs Priya that she has to go to her house for pag phera ritual n Ram will come at night to take her.

Priya looks at Krishna n asks: will he come?

Krishna: mai usey kahungi, wo zaroor aayega... Par tum jaogi kaise tumhe lene toh

voice: shruti aayi hai

Priya hugs her tightly n Shruti too hugs her back.

Shruti: toh chale madam, i am at ur service

Priya takes Krishna's blessing n go away wid Shruti.

In car:

Shruti asked wid concern: Priya tu theek toh hai na

Priya wid fake smile: haan mai theek hu

Shruti pointing to her hands: phir ye kya hai

Priya: wo chudiya tootne se chot lag gayi

Shruti: toh tu mujhse bhi jhoot bolegi

Priya takes Shruti's hands in her hands: don't mind Shruti but please u don't interfere in this matter, it's between me n Ram... Shayad Ram ko acha na lage, mai cheezo ko aur complicated nahi karna chahti, pls

Shruti smiles: theek hai but promise u'll call me wenevr u need me

Priya promised her n leaned back on seat looking outside the window.

Shruti was thinking, " Priya tu ladte jhagadte, complains karte hue achi lagti hai, is tarha gum sum bilkul achi nahi lagti...kash mai tere liye kuch kar paati"

Mujhko ko to tere chehare pe ye ghum nahi
jhachta...
Jaayiz nahi lagta mujhe ghum se tera rishta...

They both reach Sharma house, Shipra welcomed them. Shipra feeds Priya wid all the delicacies she had prepared for her. Whole day Priya was surrounded by her classmates who came down to congratulate her but her mind was wandering around fate of her marriage.

Aaj phir dil hai kuch udas udas
Jaany kyun ek mayusi c chhyi hai...

Aaj phir palkoo pe pani hai
Bheer mei hoon phir kyun ya tanhai hai...

After everyone had left, Priya sit along wid her parents. Priya knew that what her parents want to ask her and she can't escape their questions so she has already prepared the answers on her way to home.

Shipra hesitatingly: Priya tu theek toh hai na aur Ram wo tujhse bahot naraz hoga na

Priya: mai bilkul theek hu ma, tumhare samne toh bethi hu n goes silent.

Sudhir concernedly: aur Ram usne tujhe kuch

Priya cuts her father I middle: papa Ram ke saath jo bhi hua uske baad hum unse kaise expect karsakte hai k wo ek hi din mai normal hojaye, thoda waqt toh dena hoga na unhe

Shipra: wo toh theek hai beta par usne tujhe toh

Priya: ma thoda naraz toh hai wo mujhse maine kaam hi aisa kiya hai but I know him he'll be fine soon n gives a smile to her parents to assure them she is fine

Shipra: beta ab wo tera sasural hai toh thodi responsible toh hona padega

Sudhir: kya Shipra tum bhi , abhi toh aayi hai ye sab baatein chodo''. Beta Ram kab tak aaraha hai tujhe lene

This question numbed Priya as she don't know the answer, she don't know whether he'll come also or not.

" pata nahi papa, he said he'll come but tym nahi bataya", Priya replied.

Sudhir: koi baat nahi I'll call him

Before Priya could stop him, he went out of the room to call Ram. Priya was praying to god that Ram should behave normally wid her dad otherwise all her lies would be caught.

There in office Ram was also in same condition. He cancelled all the meetings for the day n locked himself in his cabin. His heart was saying that he should give atleast one chance to Priya to explain him her side of story but his mind n ego were opposing his heart's decision. He was angry, very very angry but he was unable to decide on whom he is angry: on himself or on circumstances or on Priya. If he is angry on Priya for marrying him without his consent then he should be angry wid his n her parents too because Priya can't take such a big decision on her own. As far as he knows Priya, she depends on other for even small decisions of her life.

Tum hi se Rooth kar tum ko hi Musalsal sochta hun mai ..

Mujhe to theek se Roothna bhi nahi aata... !!

Ram kept all his thoughts aside n leaned back on his chair to relax.

***Flashback***

Same day Sharmas n Kapoor met for dinner at Sharma house. After dining, Ram asked Priya to accompany him to the garden.

Ram: so Miss Priya Sharma how ur life is going on?

Priya smiled: good

Ram: mere baad kisi aur dost banaya ya phir akeli hi ho

Priya smiled again: banaya hai ek dost Shruti, my best friend

Ram teasingly: agar wo best friend hai toh mai kaun hu?

Priya blushed at his question thinking u r my love, my life, my everything.

Ek tamanna thi jo hasrat ban gayi
Kabhi dosti thi ab mohbbat ban gayi...
Kch is tarha shamil huye tm zindagi mei k
Tujhe sochty rhna meri adat ban gyi...

She replied: agar tum mujhe apna dost maante toh atleast ek bar mujhe call karte ya contact karne ki koshish karte

Ram: tumhari complains karne ki aadat abhi tak nahi gayi

Priya stares him as if she'll eat him up for this comment.

Ram:gussa bhi waisa hi hai aaj tak...wahan jakar studies mai busy hogaya tha mai aur ma papa ko bhi hardly call karta tha...maine contact nahi kia toh kya hua tum toh contact kar sakti thi na

Priya pouted: tumne nahi kia toh mai kyu karti aur waise bhi tumne toh koi contact no dia hi nhi tha

Ram holds his ears: sorry sleeping beauty

Priya excitedly: u still remember that u used to call me sleeping beauty!!

Ram: yes, I do remember about each n everything of yours, afterall u was my only friend, right?

Priya: yes' I am impressed Mr. Ram Kapoor and u r forgiven too

Ram smiles: thank you ma'm

Priya: tum ne bataya kyun nahi ke tum wapas aarahe ho?

Ram:sab ko surprise dena chahta tha aur waise bhi bata deta toh Miss Priya Sharma ka shocked n Surprised wala expression kaise dekhta

Priya: acha

Ram: yaar tum aaj bhi itni careless ho, ghar ke bahar jaati ho aur paise saath nahi rakhti

Priya was embarrassed: hojata hai kabhi kabhi

Ram : kabhi kabhi ya aksar

Priya sheepishly: almost

Ram surprised: tum waqai hi ajeeb ho yaar

They spent their tym recollecting old memories n also catching up what had happened in their life, what are their future plans.

***FLASHBACK ENDS***

His lips curved into a smile thinking about his past encounters wid Priya

Mulakat bhi kabhi aansu de jati hai,

Najre bhi kabhi dhoka dejati hai,

Sath gujre hue lamho ko yaad karke dekhiye,

Tanhai bhi kabhi sukun de jati hai.

Around 6:00 pm he received a call from Sudhir who was asking him about his whereabouts n the tym at which he'll come to take Priya home. When his mother asked him to do so he already made his mind that he'll not go but he didn't expected Sudhir to call him for the same. He was thinking of some reason to escape this situation since he can't decline Sudhir's request directly. He was about to answer when he suddenly heard Priya screaming his father name loudly. He panicked, he was continously asking, "Papa what happened, are u ok but there was no reply from other side. He took his car n rushed to sharma house. He was thinking, "kahin Priya ko toh kuch nahi'''.nahi aisa kuch nahi hoga". He drive as fast as he can.

When Sudhir was talking to Ram he fainted, Priya who was talking wid Shipra,saw this n screamed loudly.Ram reached Sharma house n was relieved to see Priya fit n fine.

Doctor was checking Sudhir who was lying on bed unconsciously and Priya was sitting beside him holding his hands and crying.

Doctor: there is nothing serious, shayad zyaada tension lene se inhe chakkar aagaya'.aaplog is baat ka khayal rakhe k he don't take stress

Ram: I'll leave u doctor

Ram comes after leaving doctor outside. Sudhir was also conscious by then, he asked Ram to come and sit beside him.

Sudhir took Priya's hand and put it in Ram's hand n speaks: beta mai jaanta hu job hi hua wo tumhare liye yakeen karna bahot mushkil hai but mai itna keh sakta hu isme meri Priya ki koi galti nahi tum pls iski saza meri Priya ko mat dena

Ram n Priya were looking into each other's eyes.

Sudhir continued: mai janta hu tumhe in sab se bahar nikalne mai waqt lagega, u take ur own tym but pls don't punish urself

Ram: I'll try papa

Shipra interrupted: ab khana bhi khana hai ya bas baatein karke hi pet bharna hai

Sudhir: chalo beta dinner ke liye

Ram jerked out his hand from Priya's hand n goes with Sudhir.

They had their dine and then Ram n Priya leave for the KM.

In car, Priya was crying thinking about her father's health, Ram noticed that she is crying.

Ram thinks, " I know Priya tum apne papa ki health ko lekar upset ho, I want to console u, hug u, comfort u but ur one mistake has changed everything between us.
