The role that was to be played by Mahie in "Mohalla Assi" will now be essayed by Parvati Bhabhi aka Sakshi. This change was made because Mahie was too young to fill in the character of the flick.
Mahie Gill was the director's choice to play Sunny Deol's wife in Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi's "Mohalla Assi", based on Dr. Kashinath Singh's "Kashi Ka Assi". Sakshi Tanwar was the choice of the producer and the actor Sunny Deol himself. Sunny and the producer felt that Mahie was too young to fit in the role, whereas Sakshi just happened to be the perfect choice for it.
Mahie confirms the news by saying, "I was finalized for the role. But later on, I found out that they went with Sakshi because I was looking young for the role. Maybe, the film was not in my destiny. It's okay. I have no regrets. I am sure I will get more chances to work with Dwivedi Sir."
The girl seems to be in high spirits even after loosing such a great opportunity and we truly adore her for this. What if this is gone, there are more opportunities to come your way. All you have to do is sit and wait for them.
