Meera is too kind, too selfless, too forgiving and too sweet. Its good to be a little selfish in this world and in the crazy Asthana house and I would like her to be a little selfish by feeling for herself too.
I think CVs are very careful because she is the other woman and the traditional indian audience as their target viewers so with the morals, society and all that complexities involved they are super careful with the character's approach.
The one guilty in it all is only Anirudh. Which makes me agree with you. Its great of Meera to feel for Nandini to the extent of feeling guilty but their need to be a stop from it of making Meera feel guilty of something she is not responsible every time by making Meera overlook her own pain.
Ani's betrayal to Meera, Meera's pain is neglected. She was duped by Ani which needs to be reminded too by herself. She needs to acknowledge her own pain and the deception Ani did to her. She feels for Nandini all the time but doesn't feel for herself.
But it was nice to see Agasthya feeling sad for Meera .. catching her hiding a tear when Nandini got Ani's gift. Which brings me to believe Meera may be was also hurt for herself and a little jealous of Nandini getting Ani's gift and them having a legit anniversary date. The I love you soft toy from Ani to Nandini and booking it for 5 years on Ani's part for Nandini should hammer her how she was and is no where in the relationship triangle by Anirudh. How she is neglected, used and thrown by Ani. Ani didn't leave anything for Meera. Should make her feel he never saw a marital future with her. That is like a big insult.
If they want us to believe carrying his child to be a wonderful blessing then I am refusing to buy that. The child she is carrying isn't something Ani left purposely as a gift... he made Nandini preggo too almost around same time. I dont think Meera carrying Ani's child is a gift exclusively for her by Anirudh. He cheated Nandini and Meera. Yes she was wrong to trust her love blindly but she is not accountable for Ani's deeds. The guilt dose needs to fade for Meera from herself. I hope Meera feels for herself and doesn't hold herself to be guilty every time.
