Balraj received a first blow when Meera refuse to keep fast for Ani. Agasthya gave smile which proved Balraj calculation going wrong. for the first time he felt his puppet refuse to act on his script.

Akhil raised his voice against Balraj. even though he didn't finish his word because of Balraj's staring back at him, surely he will raise up over Balraj when time comes.

When Meera stopped Nandini's further blame on her for having relationship with a married man, Nandini in a shock heard what Meera told about not knowing about Ani being a married man.
Nandini does felt a cheating of Ani. she understood she has been cheated by her husband but not ready to grasp it fully. she ran away saying Meera is lucky to have his child in her womb. I felt this girl is really stupid to think about precious to carry a baby of a cheater.

Is Nandini idiot? no. then why she is thinking Meera is lucky to have a gift of Ani in the form of Baby.

Answer came few episodes later. Pallavi, Akhil and Shama remembering a incident happened a month before Nandini's marriage with Ani. few things are cleared here.
Ani and Nandini are childhood friends.
Ani loves Nandini as a friend not as wife / life partner.
ani married Nandini because he don't have streghth to refuse his father Balraj's order.

knowing Ani for many years will not allow Nandini to doubt him. she will take time to understand the real culprit is ani not Meera.
but did nandini loved Ani as life partner or she accepted him like he accepted her. still need to be revealed.
Balraj had his own intention behind this marriage. did Ani aware of it?

these question will be answered in future episodes.


Next, Nandini trying to run out of this house. many will think Nandini's behaviour is stupid. but any girl in this position will feel the same. If Ani and Nandini are childhood friends then Nandini knows Biji from her childhood. Biji and Nandini is sharing a beautiful loving bondage. suddenly Biji taking care of Meera will surely upset Nandini. she may accept Biji's attitude to another girl but not to the girl who is sharing her husband.

shama's words concerning Meera raises Nandini's insecurity. Shama does loves Nandin but she is concerned about Meera because she some how feels the dangers ahead in Meera's life.

Pallavi suddenly does summersault blaming Nandini and giving new logic for Ani's relationship with Meera.

Pallavi is not a trust worthy person. she was calm even when her husband is insulted by her father several times in front of everyone for everything he does. she can tolerate since he is doing stupid thing. but not for long. no wife in this world tolerated family member insulting her husband. Pallavi who went on shouting at Meera after knowing relation with Ani, acts like puppet in front of her father.

Niranjan gives a comedy look. but his attitude is again suspicious as he talks as if he is in different world.

Nupur does have a very good bondage with Nandini. but she is too much emotional. she has the boldness to fight back but at the same time she wants to be a free bird. how far this emotionally filled Nupur will help Nandini later is doubt. emotional persons are tempted to change their view when the situation favours them. they are unsteady people.

Nandini who decided to stay in the house suddenly seeing everyone caring only for Meera decided to run out of the house in the middle of the night. Akhil again and again reminds Nandini that this house belongs to her. he is the only person insisting that point to Nandini.
Ammaji took the credit of stopping Nandini by her own word magic trick.

biji decided to put some sense into Balraj. the talk between Biji and Balraj reveals, biji is not blood related to Aasthanas. but she took care of Balraj and his brother. she had a good respect in this house because balraj's father loved her so much. Balraj don't have any emotional attachment to Biji but he fears for her because she knows some hidden secrets. that is the only one hold Biji has on Balraj. but its a very strong hold that is why Balraj listens to her at times. Biji is not using that hold fully but uses to threaten him only.

Balraj talk to Nandini is a important point of this week. Balraj hiding his real intention of stopping Nandini, cleverly tells he stopped Meera to save the house. Nandini cleverly managed the situation without revealing about her father and his plan. she acted like accepting his point. I don't think Nandini is stupid to believe Balraj's words. her look revealed it. Her aim is saving the house from Balraj. Barlaj aim is to track Tiwari with the help of Nandini. its a really a cat mouse game between them.

Nandini lost everything connected to Aasthana's so her job is only to capture the house from Balraj. If she is bold enough then she can counter Balraj easily.

everyone in the house has dark secret. Even Biji has. she goes every Thursday somewhere. a lady crying for help FB shown. some lady related to Biji or Aasthana's still struggling somewhere and the truth is only known to Biji. who is she?

after watching 20 episodes of BRKD, there are few real faces of every member in Aasthana, (sorry Tiwari) mansion is revealed to us.

And then some ! Wonder how many more "real faces" we will encounter @ 40 episodes 😆 (remember Beeji telling balraj in upcoming promo for April 17th that she will tell all his secrets if he illegally tries to find out the sex of Meera's child. Arre BGji, dil thaam ke baitho, ye to kuch bhi nahi; your "son balraj" may and def will bribe the doctor if indeed it turns out that it's a girl 😲🤢😡

Meera entered the show as confident girl with sadness of losing her lover. further news of Ani's hidden truth broke her heart. but she had the heart not to hurt Ani's wife Nandini. she did manage to do so but can't for long. Nandini found the truth on her own.

Your synopsis pretty much sums it up re N&M one-sided rivalry and Meera bearing the brunt of Nandini's wrath and understandably so.

that created a big turning point in the track. Meera's earlier condractict statement with current words about not knowing about Ani's wife Nandini fuelled the anger inside Nandini.

Yes, at this point we cant blame Nandini for not believing that M did not know that Ani already had a wife called Nandini. It's mind's nature to go against and not see what's true and what's the truth. Nandini ka gussa hona to jaayaz hi tha.

No one liked Meera's presence in the house. Biji, Shama and Agstya showed their concern because she is not well. but internally they didn't like Meeara's presence at home. they felt her stay will hurt Nandini. their feeling is natural. Nandini is known to them very closely as Ani's wife and member of family. Meera is just a friend / lover of Ani.

And why would anybody like Meera's presence at home. She not only reminds and represents their hitherto-loving bhaiyya's infidelity but also what it does to Nandini bhabhi that everyone has grown to love and admire. (again, amma's convoluted swabhaav dont count )

Digging Meera's personal items sounds indecent. but when it comes to her husband any wife will do that. its shows Nandini trusted Ani more than anyone. that is why she respected everyone who are related to Ani. that is the reason she brought Meera home.

Nandini's character is one of a docile, good, decent, nice woman, not high maintenance type at all, totally opposite of creating scenes and non-confrontational. But here her trust in the man she absolutely loved is shattered into million pieces. And so she goes against her grain and stealthily goes thru Meera's personal things to find some "suraag", doing something totally out of her character.

Yes, her trusting decent nature believes Meera about her "dosti" with her husband Ani.

but whenever Meera spoke about Ani, she was careful. nandini trusted her words and believed they are just friends. when the pictures came out as a shock to her. she didn't dig Meera's bag with one clue. lot of time Nandini was asking Meera about Ani's presence with her or about her. this always showed Nandini deep inside her heart does had a doubt because Meera narrated different Ani to her. All those drew line towards digging her bag for some clue.

Meera right off the bat noticed and realized Nandini's good-natured demeanor and treaded on the side of caution, making sure that Nandini dont get hurt if Meera so much as blurts out her real feelings for Ani. But alas, truth has a way of being revealed, and reveal it does when Nandini keeps digging into Meera's life by sneaking around. And also coz Meera's version of Ani's nature differed from her own, contradictions here and there.

Nupur had a very valid point towards Meera. Meera does things which she likes. she never obeys to other. then how she obeyed to Balraj and stayed in the house. what made her change mind even if Balraj fall on her feet. Meera never wanted to hurt Nandini, suddenly decided to stay in the house knowing her presence will hurt. why?

Why coz my theory is behind the study doors which part not shown to the audience. Why else would she and baldev come out of his lion's den, her face sad, confused, helpless, yet agreed to stay. Who else but a cunning chess khiladi like baldev can do the unthinkable and make her change her mind ?? Yes, like Nandini, Meera is a good-hearted human being too but still has to hurt Nandini by staying, against her better judgment. Only decent people dont want to hurt anyone but circumstances are beyond their control, if they have to do with strong emotional involvement, as does Meera for Ani. My 2c!

Nandini was a weak soul in the start. she lost her husband and baby. now she got the shock of her life, Ani had a secret life. Her painful talk to akhil, described her current status in the house. she can't call herself as only widow of Ani and mother of his baby. Meera taking Nandini's rights in a fraction of second closed the meaning of her life in the world.

This part of storyline where Meera taking Nandini's place and her rights in the house is a cause of concern and baldev holding the reigns too tight to weaken his cunning resolve. But as predicted, not for too long coz of the way baldev throws all chess pieces on the floor, representing his defeated state of mind! 😃

Its painful to lose her childhood house. now even painful that she has no rights in her own house. Balraj harshly told her to leave if she can't stay with Meera.

That mean baldev Thankfully scenarios changing today onwards ! 😃

Sad part Nandini don't have anyone to support. Biji and Akhil standing for Nandini is not going to heal her wound. she need someone close to her heart to support and console her. but she don't have anyone.

Well, we now know she promised daddy to never leave the house and be tough and strong and courageous. And me glad that he is not going to be debuted for "few days" coz I rather see Nandini not needing daddy's crutches and hold her own !! 😃👏

We are shown Nandini talking to her father. she pleaded him to save her. she doesn't want to lose her house earlier. now she seems to be losing her status in the house.

Not any more. Nandini is gaining ground already and what a transformation in the precap to appear today's epi ! 👏⭐️

Now Nandini seems to be gaining some inner strength. the way she countered Balraj when he allowed Meera to stay in the home, shows she will raise her head when her self respect is touched. hope we get to see bolder Nandini in later part. hope her character doesn't turn as sacrificial girl later.

Meera now seems to be giving herself to under the control of Balraj. her initial boldness gone. at present she is chained and its held in Balraj hand. others are spectators not happy about Meera's presence around them

Even when Meera nods her head in disagreement with baldev, there isn't much conviction in her resolve, in her attitude until yesterday's epi when she shouts back at Nandini and tells her to STOP IT, 'NUFF IS 'NUFF, u go girl !! 👏😃 So, before us audience even realize it, Meera will come out of her shell and current meek persona and back to her original strong self, esp now (April 17th epi) that she hears (not overhears) BG accosting baldev that she will reveal all his secrets! 👏😃 And speaking of spectators, isn't every clown a spectator in this household, except AK ?? As far as other members, today and tomorrow will be the start of BG raising her voice for the 1st time ever towards baldev. So, in short, lot of drama, innuendos in store.

a show. so always evil will win. rarely truth succeeds and that too in the end. So no wonder evil still in driver seat. all the others are passengers. they can step out if they don't want to sit behind Balraj but no guarantee for life if they jump out of vehicle.

Duality has to exist in the universe in order for the contrasting quality to emerge IMHO. Balraj's sinister mind knows no bounds. 😡 About Meera's baby, either in this thread or some other, some of us discussed how baldev will even resort to bribing the doctor if indeed it's going to be a girl. 😡🤢 If it's a son, who knows what will happen. But by then, or much before that, Meera will have known baldev's true colors (as early as tomorrow april 17th) and is smart and intelligent enough to chart her life accordingly. Even london-wali mother may pop up coz to me she did appear very level-headed, although busy in her own affairs at the same time.

Akhil seems to be the only person raising voice in support of Nandini. Biji and Shyama are balancing between N and M. Agastya just tries to understand what is balraj's plan behind allowing Meera at home.

Accurate observation for all mentioned above.

CVs showed some scenes which made us think Agastya and Meera will be paired up together. but I don't think Agastya has love on her. he just wanted to chase her out in a very decent manner. may be because he don't want to lose his place to Ani's child again. at present Agastya is right hand to Barlaj. he wants to maintain that so that the property will come to him after his chachu. but this same reason can lead him towards marrying Meera but will the lion of the den allow its cub to steal its glory.

Yes, AG har kadam phoonk phoonk ke le raha hai and dont want to lose all that he has "earned" by being baldev's confidant, chamcha, right hand, not to mention amma's teekhe chonchale (engrish?) to make sure beta AG dont lose this HUGE wealth by keeping eye on the needle at all times. Okay, here I must mention a discussion I had with another member (Gewels on my thread) and I couldn't agree more with her, that the only way out of this W-H-O-L-E MESS is for Nandini to have another child somehow or other, in order to keep her own property to her own self. No AG-M alliance is going to do that, coz Meera wont let that happen, true to her good nature. Besides, I strongly believe that N-M pact is in the offing to crush kans chacha baldev's misplaced ambition/greed/manipulations.

Just 20 episode many more questions raised.
1) if Balraj took this house from Nandini's father, why he didn't rename it in his own name? why the house is still in Tiwari's name?
2) why Tiwari has to pay 15 crore to get this house back?
3) Nandini knows her father's hiding place, 4) why she didn't call him for so long? 5) why he asked to keep his place as secret and not to contact him?
6) why Ani married Nandini if he is so much in love with Meera?
7) why Ani didn't reveal his marriage to Meera?
8) why Ani lived two life with two girls?

Had 2nd thot after numbering your questions. Why coz the answer to all the Q's seems to be only ONE. We dont know, not yet anyway. The "secrets" will unfold slowly but surely. TRP increase karne ke liye, tasty karne ke liye "masala" bhi to chahiye na ! 😆 But wait, slight wheels turning. The answer to 6,7,8 can be expressed by generalizing that "men" can't help themselves when it comes to opposite sex and men's hormones going whacko 😕. Ani lacked the guts and character to keep the two secrets from both the girls he was involved with. Besides, being Asthana, the chess player father inculcated such "sanskaras" in his only son coz he knows Ani can get away with it. Remember, in one epi baldev telling Beeji about Ani's "young blood" is expected to lead dogli zindagi ... wah, baap ho to aisa 😡🤢 Another possibility which was also discussed by few here, that Ani was afraid of his dad and so wanted to stay away from him for long stretches of time, only to find himself attracted to an innocent attractive thing called Meera on the mountains.

25 episodes successfully aired. script is a strength of the show. well delivered. excellent acting by entire team.

got some outline about Aasthans. waiting to know about Tiwari's. little more about ani and Nandini's childhood days.

shrel i luv to hate balraj i think this man is very manipulative and the most strongest villians i saw. it looks like an impossible and unattainable thing to make him lose. he succeeded in brainwashing nandini. as we see today even the language of hers was ditto balraj's which beeji only could understand because she knows balraj's mind.

Yep, that's how I got my username RaDev coz of Choti Bahu. We were all totally mesmerized by the 1st CB. The thousands of discussion threads from mythology to every-day situations of this serial were mindblowing !!!! Some members 5 or 6 in particular and their knowledge about various religious aspects was so fantastic that they would even point out the blunders, bloopers of the show, even including some mantras !!! Aaamaaazing !!!

And that's why my profile also of Radha-Krishna coz "Kanha" as you seem to know was the whole, lock stock and barrel, was the complete premise that the storyline was based on. I even drove 6 hours to Houston to meet them when Dev and Radhika (Avinash Sachdeva and Rubina Dilaik) were on world tour after it ended somewhat abruptly in Aug of 2010, to discuss personally the possibility of a sequel of CB which of course they agree to do. Rest as they say is history coz CB2 also took off with a bang, having double role of Radhika and bombay-wali Ruby (her character name escapes).

niranjan is so nice and innocent to be a manipulator but when he didnt give a clarification when everyone accused him of pocketing money from electricity bill i felt dubious abt him. i hope he doesnt go negative.

i luved CB1 dev and radhika and omg you met them? shrel so damn amazing i was a regular viewer when it was in 1st season especially in the beginning and i am so happy rubina and avinash are also together in real life they are very cute couple. i luved the CVs brought issue of caste system and its negative effects in the show this show showed religion and spirituality very nice in the beginning episodes. i hated vishaka's character a lot hahaha. wasnt abhinav who plays ani in BRKD played a role in CB?

i agree shrel our cvs will make sure balraj becomes more powerful and it can also make any victory against him more delicious to watch hahaha its no fun to defeat an easy opponent.
