I agree and disagree. I agree that she's not in a position to try to protest against her father. For instance I would've screamed and yelled and told him to stop and that he's overreacting. And even tried to stop it physically. I can understand Yamini wouldn't be able to do that.

Fine. But the fact that you can just let it go, speaks to the mentality overall that people will just let it go and brush over it because of social status. Hell I think even the narrative is brushing it over. Maybe even the audience is brushing it over (I know a few watchers who were also affected in that they had to stop and collect before continuing to watch).

Raghvendra should be in jail for assault. Now realistically, it's true that he would get away with it. And that's fine for him to get away with it. But don't expect me to buy into some BS sob story and redemption arc where he never loses what he holds dear to him first. He needs to learn his lesson first--as in Yamini standing up to him and leaving him no choice but to accept her choices. And then he can reflect and regret his actions. But why am I even bothering with this? I never was really expecting them to go that route, and I was okay. But not anymore, after Friday's episode.

I think Nikumbh probably comes with some info, or maybe even the guy in the photograph will walk in a few steps behind Nikumbh.

Liks, Ofcourse we would have done that...i would have screamed at him, physically stop him from abusing that poor guy, would have refused to be dragged along...and so on and so forth !! but, we are not in yamini's shoes...we r not traumatized with fear for our daddies, we know they will listen to us and never lock us in dark rooms or slap in front of everybody...so she behaved same way she had done all her life, staning petrified and waiting for the worse to happen and praying inwardly for the storm to pass . nikumbh's coaching made her bold, outspoken and much more open towards him or perhaps to random outsiders but itz still ineffective her biggest fear of her life. it would need a violent shock of heartbreak, loss, brief and anger to exorcise that fear and scream at her dad dauntlessly...and it is a long way now ! at present she is happy playing cat and mouse game with her dad, and whatever fun she is having on the back of her dad, she finds it enough for now...but very soon she will crave for more...and then the dam will burst one day, Itz bound to and that process will be hell interesting to watch, i hope😃

^^ I agree, which is why I said I know for her she can't do it. I don't have anything to add to what you've said.
And like you said, what else can she do but move on and focus on the better aspects of her life.

(Shreya di - what is it with this hashtag? Some online thing?)

I am SO with you on this! I expect nothing but the worst from Raghavendra, but what really left me appalled was Yamini's reaction. She stood there and seemed just slightly disturbed. Unlike you, I cannot find anything that will redeem her. All of Nikumbh's efforts were for nothing? Forget the tasks. As a human being, and being somewhat the person concerned in this matter, she should have tried to stop her father. Maybe screamed or called for help. And it should have been impulsive!

There were some people who did notice. But Azam did not? It is so disturbing.

I have no points to add about why Raghavendra did what he did. You guys have summed up everything.

And I was TRULY disappointed with the episode today. I mean, Yamini told her mother that everything had been fine at the party? Really? REALLY? Why was she not even remotely disturbed? When it was Nikumbh at the receiving end, she was very disturbed. And in that case, she had the chance to apologize and make things right. In this case, she has no chance. The waiter will never get his justice. And yet...

I mean, if the tasks have had any effect, this was the moment when she should have questioned her father's motives and methods. At least mentally. If she is still the same Yamini that believes that somehow parents are always right because they want the best for us, then I have nothing to say.
