Sometimes Baby is too forceful

Overall I like Baby. She is good at heart and really cares for her family.

However, one thing I do not like about her is that she forces her views and her desires on others. Often she does not listen to others even when it is her duty to listen. She wants that others should do whatever she asks them to do even when she has no authority to force them.

As an example, she forcibly went to Malai's cabin even though Malai's staff
kept on asking her not to.

May be she was thinking that Malai was her friend and therefore she had the right to enter his cabin. But just because somebody is our friend, do we have the right to force ourselves upon him? Can't he have his own likes and dislikes?

It is Malai's greatness that he cares so much for baby and others in her house even though he is so rich. How many rich people like to meet their friends from so many years back and that too so sweetly?

If Baby had come in Malai's life in childhood, then many others must have come in Malai's life. If Baby has the right to forcibly enter Malai's cabin, then those others also should have that right. If Malai lets all of those to exercise this right, then what will happen to his business and what will happen to his other responsibilities.

When Malai told her that he was busy in an important meeting, then Baby told him very arrogantly that at the most, Malai would have made some more crores from that meeting. But, in truth, he was busy in meeting with his doctor.

Of course, Baby did not know this. She thought that he was busy in business meeting. So what? Is it bad to have business meeting? Is it bad to make money?

Why did Baby think that Malai could convince Abhinay Kumar to attend Charubala's sister-in-law's birthday? She thought this because Malai was a well known business man. Having lots of money is a very important part of being a famous business man. What does it mean? This means that Baby wanted to exploit the status Malai had because of his money.

Isn't it hypocrisy? On one hand, she shouts at Malai as if it was bad that he wanted to make money. On the other hand, she wants Baby to provide the help he can because of his money.

well i dont think so..they show it this way to show dat her perosnality is dat way..i dont disgaree with you abt her just takin advantage of malai's standard and just coming into his cabin but it even says that she hates waitin n stuff if i was in her place and i knew the persona nd was waitin for so long i would hve done the same thing...they r really good frendz and malai wasn't upset of her just coming...she felt really sorry for shouting at home wen she came to know abt wat was the meeting really about...and malai might have not felt bad abt her shouting overall i really like her including the way she is and her personality...

Hi Sara,
As I have written in the beginning of my post at the start of this thread, I also find Baby very good overall. But I am talking about her tendency of not listening to others even though she should. Overall she is very good natured, but this particular tendency is bad.

Yes, it is true that she hates waiting. But that does not give her the authority to barge into anybody's cabin. If she dislikes waiting, then others also have their own likes and dislikes. If everybody forces his/her likes and dislikes upon others, then what will happen to the society.

To take an analogy, suppose I dislike some rules in this forum. (Please note that it is just an example for the sake of discussion and in reality I do not dislike.) Does it mean that I have the authority to violate those rules? The answer, as I am sure you will agree, is no. One's duty is more important than one's likes and dislikes.

You have written that Baby knew Malai and they are good friends. But just because somebody considers us as out good friends, it is not right on our part to force ourselves upon him. If Baby knew Malai, then many other also must be knowing him. After all he is such a big businessman. He must have lots of friends. What if all of them forcibly enter his cabin whenever they want?

As you have written, Baby felt really sorry for shouting at Malai. I do consider it Baby's greatness that she accepts her faults.

You have written that Malai might not have felt bad over her shouting. I agree that he might not have been angry but he must have been emptionally hurt because his wife was on death-bed and Baby shouted at him that he was doing this just to make a few crores more. It is true that Baby did not know this. But even when she did not know the truth, she should not have shouted at him because she had no right. Even if the meeting was really business-related, then also Malai should not be faulted. After all, it is not bad to have busines meetings.

I repeat that I dislike only this particular nature of Baby but overall I like her.

Yesss i do agree with you 100% not just in Malai's case.. but sometime she forgets her manners with talking to her bhabhis.. did u notice how badly she shouted at Meenakshi in the episode where bank wala problem is going...

okay u can say that she is straightforward and clean hearted person.. cant keep things to herself but it never means that u can hurt everyone whenever u want..

Yes, I did notice her behaviour during the bank problem. When I called her too forceful, then it was not only because she shouted at Malai. I found her very forceful in some earlier episodes too. I gave the example of her behaviour with Malai because that episode was the most recent so long this topic is concerned.
Some may say that the behaviours of some other characters are far worse (e.g. the way Charubala behaves). Then why did I not say anything in that regard? The answer is that all of us will agree that Charubala should not behave like this. When all of us immediately agree on some point, then what is the discussion? 😳
Regarding Baby, we know that she is overall good. So, if we find out some negatives in her character, then there will be good discussion. 😛
