The arrogance 😆

CE does not has the akshaypatra stuff instead it talks about surya helping pandavas out in this regard. That s what i am asking ki why did eldest daddy helped his arch enemies ?? What is in it for surya ?? Considering surya here is an human and not the god. What did a prince of Surya dynasty got by helping pandavas or kunti his ex lover for that matter ??
I missed it. Where is the reference to Surya (deva or man) helping the Pandavas? That chapter just has Krishna having the grain of rice, and all the rishis feeling full, and fleeing from that place hoping not to incur Yudhisthir's wrath. (A surprise in itself, since Yudhisthir was never known to lose his temper w/ rishis)

I think Amba was shown as a villain from the simple fact that my sister after watching this scene thought Amba was way too dramatic and dislikes her.
I think none of the TV serials portrayed Amba's plight properly so as to make people understand that she was indeed offered a very bad deal and she had genuine reason to be pissed.
Yeah, this serial made it look like Amba was unreasonable, and even depicted Krishna as noting that on the night of day 9. Having built Bheeshma up, that serial could only depict things in black and white, so that people like Drupad, Shikhandi, Dhrishtadyumna were all depicted as villains for hating the 'pure souled' greats like Bheeshma and Drona.
Another thing that the serial got wrong - Bheeshma didn't avoid fighting Shikhandi due to his past birth as Amba. He avoided him b'cos Shikhandi was born as Shikhandini, a woman, and managed to get her gender changed after her marriage to the daughter of king Hiranyavarma, who discovered that her 'husband' was another woman. She alerted her father, who was gonna wage war against Panchala in revenge, and so Shikhandini dispaired and went off to end her life, but instead, she swapped genders w/ an yaksha and became male. Kubera came and cursed the yaksha that she's remain a woman forever, but softened it that she'd regain her masculinity once Shikhandi died.
Anyway, it was b'cos of Shikhandi's birth as Shikhandini that Bheeshma refused to fight her

One distortion was the narration of Amba and Shikhandi's story. Here they showed the latter narrating it. In MB, Bhishma narrates it to Duryodhana.
This wasn't a distortion per se, as both could have happened: Bheeshma could have narrated it to Duryodhan, while Shikhandi could have narrated it to Dhrishtadyumna.
Also, Shikhandi was shown in this serial as either a gay or a eunuch. She was neither: she was a trans. In this era of LGBTQ, we should recognize it accurately 😆
Bhishma's narration is documented in the text. But I agree that even Shikhandi could have narrated it. This creative liberty makes sense. 😆

@Bold- Absolutely!
This is another creative liberty. I remember reading Bhishma telling Yudhisthira the forms of marriages and labeling two of them unrighteous.

Given that he knew everything about Shikhandini being Amba's reincarnation and the fact that he himself advised Yudhisthira to use Shikhandi on the 10th day, I believe the creative liberty is logical and acceptable.
One major distortion was the kavach kundal scene. According to texts Karna demanded vasavi shakti in exchange before he peeled off his armour. He clearly told Indra that he wouldn't part with his armour unless the latter agrees to the deal.
