That can be true i am going to consider this theory and recheck from CE

Destortion in showing amba villain regarding her and bhishm fight

And not showing how much she suffered and helpless coz of all three kings refusing to accept her

Second biggest distortion is regarding draupadi thing and her calling duryodhan as andha ka Putra andha

I think Amba was shown as a villain from the simple fact that my sister after watching this scene thought Amba was way too dramatic and dislikes her.

I think none of the TV serials portrayed Amba's plight properly so as to make people understand that she was indeed offered a very bad deal and she had genuine reason to be pissed.

Amba held 3 men responsible for her misery. Then she approached ascetics and they decided that action should be taken against Bhishma. When Parashurama came, Amba requested him to kill Bhishma.

In BRC they showed Amba approaching ascetics who guided her to Parashuram. It's just that the events were condensed. But I never felt she overreacted. This episode is pretty close now.

One distortion was the narration of Amba and Shikhandi's story. Here they showed the latter narrating it. In MB, Bhishma narrates it to Duryodhana.

Bhishma didn't oust Karna. The latter himself said he won't fight under the son of Ganga and even advised Duryodhana to abandon him.
