In Mahabharata, They showed Sun handed a child to Kunti, He was born with armors and other protection

I wanna know if Kunti bore her kids like normal women or they just handed it to her

Moreover, The Sun said that she will be virgin after it 🙃 How does this work? I mean nothing really happened

I can't quote the text ( no patience to go through all that at this moment) , but as far as I remember, Kunti had normal intercourse with the Gods she called through the Mantra, then bore children normally.

BRC shied away from showing that.

Anyone else who can help with the text?😳

I just read this part up.

Her boon was every time she would call a God they would bless her with a child, born in the normal way. 😳

Hearing this, Kunti said, 'O slayer of foes, a certain Brahamana gave me this formula of invocation as a boon, and, O lord, I have summoned thee only to test its efficacy. For this offence I bow to thee. A woman, whatever be her offence, always deserveth pardon.' Surya (Sun) replied, 'I know that Durvasa hath granted this boon. But cast off thy fears, timid maiden, and grant me thy embraces. Amiable one, my approach cannot be futile; it must bear fruit. Thou hast summoned me, and if it be for nothing, it shall certainly be regarded as thy transgression.'

"Vaisampayana continued, 'Vivaswat thus spoke unto her many things with a view to allay her fears, but, O Bharata, the amiable maiden, from modesty and fear of her relatives, consented not to grant his request. And, O bull of Bharata's race, Arka addressed her again and said, 'O princess, for my sake, it shall not be sinful for thee to grant my wish.' Thus speaking unto the daughter of Kuntibhoja, the illustrious Tapana--the illuminator of the universe--gratified his wish. And of this connection there was immediately born a son known all over the world as Karna accountred with natural armour and with face brightened by ear-rings.

Kaliprasanna explicitly mentions ke not immediate but a normal pregnancy.

Okay

How come her parents didn't know if she was pregnant with Karna for 9 months?

One more question -

Did Pandavas know that Pandu was their father?

She probably kept to her chambers. I don't think she was very close with Kuntibhoj's wife. Now that I think of it, Kuntibhoj's wife wasn't mentioned at all. And her dad probably left her alone. 😆

They were raised by Pandu only till he died. Folklores are ke Arjun ko archery basics he only taught.

She had kids by Niyog from the Gods. The boon was to Mantra to call Gods for helping in Garbhdharan

This is similar to how Ambika and Ambalika got pregnant, just that they had it by a sage while Kunti (and Madri) by gods

After getting pregnant it was the normal 9 months cycle

Yes it was an established fact that Pandu wasn't their biological father. Everyone knew. Bheem and Arjun were often addressed as Vayu Putra and Indra Putra by others

But as per Dharma the father of any child isn't the biological father, but the husband of their mother. (Same happened in case of Tara and Brihaspati), so they always remained Pandu's son, just as Pandu n Dhritrashtra were Vichitraveer's son

This actually was a demeaning thing of women since it was considered that women in the property of her husband, so is like a field (Kshetra) any fruit/tree in it would belong to the swami of the Kshetra I.e. the husband even if the seeds has been sown by someone else.

This is why such children were often called Kshetraj santaan
