Dear, animations can only be saved as a gif file.

But if you wish to save the animation frames as a png, please do the following:

Open the picture (s) you wish to save.

Go to Edit - Select all

Then go to File - Save frame as

A new window will appear. There, choose .png as the file extension and save the frames.
